Just Because may refer to:
Psychic TV (sometimes spelled Psychick TV) or PTV, is an English experimental video art and music group, formed by performance artist Genesis P-Orridge and video director Peter Christopherson after the break-up of Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV signs to Some Bizzare Label working along with Alex Fergusson, musician and producer from Alternative TV.
The band began publishing a monthly series of 23 live albums in 1986, but stopped without explanation after only 17. The tenth, a picture disk most commonly referred to as Album 10, could only be obtained by submitting tokens contained in each of the previous nine releases. The band subsequently earned an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records for most records released in one year.
Contributors to Psychic TV have included artists such as Coil, Current 93, Hafler Trio, The Cult, White Stains, Soft Cell, Fred Giannelli, XKP, Master Musicians of Jajouka, Matthew Best, Daniel Simon Black, Bill Breeze, Hilmar Örn Hilmarsson, Derek Jarman, John Gosling, Timothy Leary, Rose McDowall, Stephen Kent, Vagina Dentata Organ, Andrew Weatherall, Larry Thrasher, Z'EV, Zef Noi$e, Jeff Berner, and many others.
A psychic is a person who claims to use extrasensory perception (ESP) to identify information hidden from the normal senses. The word "psychic" is also used as an adjective to describe such abilities. Psychics may be theatrical performers, such as stage magicians, who use techniques such as prestidigitation, cold reading, and hot reading to produce the appearance of such abilities. Psychics appear regularly in fantasy fiction, such as in the novel The Dead Zone by Stephen King.
A large industry and network exists whereby psychics provide advice and counsel to clients. Some famous psychics include Courtney Davy (famous psychic detective with her partner in crime) Edgar Cayce, Ingo Swann, Peter Hurkos, Jose Ortiz El Samaritano,Miss Cleo,John Edward, and Sylvia Browne. Psychic powers are asserted by psychic detectives and in practices such as psychic archaeology and even psychic surgery.
Critics attribute psychic powers to intentional trickery or to self-delusion. In 1988 the U.S. National Academy of Sciences gave a report on the subject and concluded there is "no scientific justification from research conducted over a period of 130 years for the existence of parapsychological phenomena." A study attempted to repeat recently reported parapsychological experiments that appeared to support the existence of precognition. Attempts to repeat the results, which involved performance on a memory test to ascertain if post-test information would effect it, "failed to produce significant effects", and thus "do not support the existence of psychic ability," and is thus categorized as a pseudoscience.
"Just Like" is a song recorded by Marvin Gaye in 1978 but wasn't released until after the release of Gaye's posthumous 1985 album, Romantically Yours.
The song was written and recorded by Gaye in the singer's recording studio in 1978 in sessions culled from the recording of Gaye's albums, Here, My Dear and The Ballads. The song was written around the time that Gaye had finalized his divorce from Anna Gordy and was struggling in his second marriage to Janis. It's unclear if Gaye had wanted to include the song in The Ballads as when the posthumous Vulnerable album came out in 1997, the song was left off of the track listing.
Instead, following Marvin's death, Columbia Records worked with Gaye's former label, Motown, to bring leftover songs to fulfill Gaye's contractual obligations to Columbia (he had signed a three-album deal in 1982). "Just Like" was one of the songs brought up to discussion and was agreed to be placed on the posthumous 1985 album, Romantically Yours. "Just Like" was later released as a single but failed to chart.
The Band was a Canadian-American roots rock group, originally consisting of Rick Danko (bass guitar, double bass, fiddle, trombone, vocals), Levon Helm (drums, mandolin, vocals), Garth Hudson (keyboards, saxophones, trumpet), Richard Manuel (piano, baritone, drums, vocals) and Robbie Robertson (guitar, percussion, vocals). The members of the Band first came together as they joined rockabilly singer Ronnie Hawkins's backing group, the Hawks, one by one between 1958 and 1963.
In 1964, they separated from Hawkins, after which they toured and released a few singles as Levon and the Hawks and the Canadian Squires. The next year, Bob Dylan hired them for his U.S. tour in 1965 and world tour in 1966. Following the 1966 tour, the group moved with Dylan to Saugerties, New York, where they made the informal 1967 recordings that became The Basement Tapes, which forged the basis for their 1968 debut album, Music from Big Pink. Because they were always "the band" to various frontmen, Helm said the name "The Band" worked well when the group came into its own. The group began performing as the Band in 1968 and went on to release ten studio albums. Dylan continued to collaborate with the Band over the course of their career, including a joint 1974 tour.

This song was originally performed as "I like you" in the early 90s and late 80s and I have been led to infer it is not entirely Gen's original song, nor that of the modern incarnation of PTV3. In the distance there is truth which ends like a knife The bridge we have laid will always be this life when you cross on a goat we ride or full like fruit in the red sea tide If you could understand. You would take my hand. And i would spread so far, just like Arcadia. the snake is time, his teeth are seed they press like flesh, on those who bleed the cross is gold cause its all wrong the goat is bold** and it eats the dark** If you could understand. From my all time favorite Psychic TV album, "Allegory And Self," released in 1988. Absolutely brilliant record. I managed to catch them live at The Pyramid Club in NYC not long after that and they played for a full three hours. I'm lucky enough to own the original vinyl edition of this album with the original cover art and booklet. The cover graphics feature Austin Osman Spare's General Allegory and other illustrations from his Automatic Drawings and Book Of Satyrs. In the original release there was included a book of what seems to be P-Orridge's own Book of Satyrs, with very Spare-ish pen-and-ink drawings and illuminations and key lyrics, handwritten.

Indebted to Alberto Diez for supplying me with this rare footage of the earliest incarnation of Psychic TV. Thank you Alberto. Below is a review from Steve of the Muh Mur blog who was there on the night. Thanking him in advance. Psychic TV live at The Ritz in Manchester, 6th of November 1983, the first Psychic TV live gig... "It was a rainy day in Manchester". Probably was, I can't remember...I can remember a lot about this night, this unforgettable night. I travelled from Lincoln via Hulme to get to The Ritz. Sean (my Dark Companion) and I were first there. The demonstrators were just setting up, getting their chants and placards ready .. probably waiting for the coaches from London, but Sean and I just flashed our tickets to the lady on the door and walked in. Why should I have to stand up and have to die for your sins?
All power/She was surprised/All power
All power/She was surprised/All power
All power/Lay in her eyes/All power
All power/Lay in her eyes/is it me/is it me
Could I lay here, could I be free
I see again/I see again
Everything goes/ everyone know
Is it me/Is this me
I go away/I see you say
And I die/could I be free
Or am I just what you see
And is just what I give
Everything and this what I see anything
and this what I give in my brain and this why I feel so much pain
or could I be you.
I see you say and I die
could I be free or am I just what you see
and what I give everyday...
...could I be you, could I be you
she was surprised...14'00"
