Interstate 95 is the principal highway along the east coast of Florida between Jacksonville and Miami. The 382 miles spent in the Sunshine State is the longest distance that I-95 spends in any one state.

on my way to school at 7:45 in the morning and this occurred. woke me up pretty quick.
crash involves a Camaro SS and a 18 wheeler.

Lady driving the car was said to have had a heart attack or seizure when i talked to the paramedics when they arrived. when i viewed the women from the window she was unconscious with a small cut on her head.
the way the chevy camaro impacted the structures was one of the best outcomes that could of played out.
First, the front of the car impacted the 18 wheeler compromising the initial "crunch zone" of the vehicle. the second hit to the vehicle was against the divider which hit the vehicle from the rear which had not been compromised yet creating a more "cushioned" impact.
great driving control by the truck driver.
this video displays just how safe todays vehicles really are.

Interstate 95
Interstate 95 (I-95) is the main Interstate Highway on the East Coast of the United States, running largely parallel to the Atlantic Ocean and U.S. Highway 1, serving areas between Florida and New England inclusive. In general, I-95 serves metropolitan areas such as Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C. in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, and Richmond, Fayetteville, Savannah, Jacksonville, and Miami in the Southeast. The route follows a more direct inland route between Washington, D.C. and Savannah, notably bypassing the coastal metropolitan areas of Norfolk-Virginia Beach and Charleston, which require connections through other Interstate Highways.
I-95 is one of the oldest routes of the Interstate Highway System, yet its completion is still dependent on a project in Pennsylvania and New Jersey that is scheduled to be finished by 2018. Currently, its role in that region has been filled in mainly by I-295, by I-195, and by an unsigned portion of the New Jersey Turnpike in Southern New Jersey. Many sections of I-95 incorporated pre-existing sections of toll roads where they served the same right of way. I-95's two pieces total 1,919.74 mi (3,090 km). The southern terminus of I-95 is at U.S. Route 1 (US 1) in Miami, Florida, while the northern terminus is at the Houlton–Woodstock Border Crossing with New Brunswick, Canada.

Lady driving the car was said to have had a heart attack or seizure when i talked to the paramedics when they arrived. when i viewed the women from the window she was unconscious with a small cut on her head.
the way the chevy camaro impacted the structures was one of the best outcomes that could of played out.
First, the front of the car impacted the 18 wheeler compromising the initial "crunch zone" of the vehicle. the second hit to the vehicle was against the divider which hit the vehicle from the rear which had not been compromised yet creating a more "cushioned" impact.

Interstate 95 (I-95) is a major Interstate Highway, running along the East Coast of the United States from Florida to Maine. In North Carolina, I-95 runs diagonally across the eastern third of the state, from Rowland at the South Carolina border to Pleasant Hill at the Virginia border. You will see the truck go off the road into the ditch and the flames began to burn the truck and you can see the guys who tried to go into the fire to save the guy and the guy came from under the truck and you can see them trying to help him, he looked like he was praying and then he collapsed and they tried to do cpr on him... Sad to say the driver did not make it, I want to send my prayers to the drivers family and friends.... For the most part, the 198-mile (319 km) drive is fairly benign, passing through the pine forests, farmlands, and blackwater streams and swamps of the Coastal Plain. However, a few landmarks do exist to break up the monotony. Crossing from the south from Georgia just over the Savannah River bridge, motorists are greeted to an elaborate gateway into the state of South Carolina. The Juanita M. White Crosswalk also exists between exits 18 and 21.[2] A flyover on twin high-spans over Lake Marion provides an unexpected scenic break in the center of the highway's length. Moving further north and out of the Palmetto State, the NC state line is prominently marked by the South Of The Border amusement complex at the US 301/501 exit. Local traffic parallel to the interstate uses US 301 from South Of The Border to Santee, US 15 from Santee to Walterboro, and a combination of US 17 and US 17 Alt from Walterboro to the Georgia state line north of Savannah. In addition, Interstate 95 shares a number of concurrencies, or multiplexes, with three of these U.S. Routes at various stretches in South Carolina.

You will see the truck go off the road into the ditch and the flames began to burn the truck and you can see the guys who tried to go into the fire to save the guy and the guy came from under the truck and you can see them trying to help him, he looked like he was praying and then he collapsed and they tried to do cpr on him... Sad to say the driver did not make it, I want to send my prayers to the drivers family and friends.... I wish people know how hard it is out here for drivers who travel up and down the road to provide for our families at home.... You will be missed driver.....

Interstate 95 continues the pattern of being a four-lane highway from North Carolina. The welcome center forbids trucks, but truck stops at the first two interchanges provides a substitute place for truckers to stay before reaching Emporia.[2][3] North of here, I-95 and US 301 are often intertwined with each other as they encounter interchanges with Virginia Secondary State Routes. In the Owens-Stony Creek area in Sussex County, the road not only runs parallel to US 301 but shares bridges with I-95, many of which have access to Route 301 from connecting roads. This pattern ends at Exit 33 at the corner of a fairly popular truck stop and travel center. Crossing the Sussex-Prince George County Line, the first site along I-95 is another rest area that also serves as the Petersburg Area Tourist Information Center. The road makes a slight northeast turn between Carson and Templeton, then turns straight north again before approaching the south end of Interstate 295 just before crossing the southern border of the City of Petersburg at Exit 47. A series of frontage roads connect the interchanges with US 460, US 301 and the northern terminus of Interstate 85. Immediately after the interchange with Interstate 85, remnants of the former toll booths for the Richmond–Petersburg Turnpike can be found.
