Teddy Atlas rants at Horn result

While Australia celebrated American commentator Teddy Atlas wasn't so impressed with the Pacquiao versus Horn result.

After it was announced that the three judges had all scored the fight to Horn (117-111, 115-113 and 115-113 respectively), there was a huge emotional reaction from the crowd and people around Australia, who saw their local boy shock the world – but the immediate reaction from around the globe, particularly in America, was fury.

A host of athletes, actors and other celebrities weighed in – with an almost unanimous disbelief on the decision.

Samuel L Jackson unleashed on Twitter, labelling the victory 'bulls--t'.

Many of the USA's top athletes – from Kobe Bryant to Aaron Rodgers – weighed in, just two among thousands of fans claiming that Pacquiao was robbed.

Such was the deluge of tears that if America had any drought problems yesterday, they've certainly been solved in the past few hours.

The highlight, however, was unquestionably the rant of commentator Teddy Atlas, who bizarrely claimed that Horn had been given a 'participation trophy'.

Why some mysterious shadowy figures behind the scenes would want to 'rig' a fight against Pacquiao, one of the biggest drawcards in the entire world of sport, to put the spotlight on the relatively unknown Horn defies logic, but the screams of injustice were howling long into the night.

Long may they continue.
