Inter Milan are ready to actively step up their interest in Argentine winger, Angel Di Maria, as they prepare to send a delegation to Paris Saint-Germain to discuss the player's availability.

According to reports from numerous Italian media outlets, the pacy winger is a top priority in the transfer window this summer for the Nerazzurri. It is also speculated that the Milan club are also inquiring over Adrien Rabot.

Inter have been encouraged so far in their quest to sign the 29-year-old as rumblings from the player and his agent suggest that he may be looking to leave the Parisian club.

Last season the diminutive, tricky winger amassed 14 goals and 15 assists in all competitions. His potent threat in front of goal is a clear attraction for Inter as well as the added benefit of the Argentine having an Italian passport, meaning he would not take up a non-EU slot in the Inter Milan squad.

Inter Milan have now avoided any wrongdoing in regards to financial fair play restrictions and are looking for a marquee signing to improve on last season's disappointing 7th place finish.

Paris Saint-Germain signed Di Maria from Manchester United for €63m, however Inter hope that they can find a deal nearer to a price of €50m.

It is believed that Walter Sabatini, the director of football at the Nerazzurri, will travel to Paris this weekend to begin formal negotiations and attempt to sign the player that has been on Inter's radar for some time.

Whilst discussing the possibility of a transfer for the Argentine, it is rumoured that Sabatini will also inquire over the availability of several other PSG players, notably Rabiot who has been linked with Inter in the past.
