Hey guys!! Today I wanted to chat with you about my Jessner Chemical Peel! I showed you guys before and after pics of the Jessner peel and how my face healed. I got this treatment because I have been trying to minimize the scarring that my acne has left over the years. I have had acne scarring for many years and have always struggled with how to get rid of acne. Some damage was done by sun damage, but some was from acne in my teenage years. Chemical peels are very effective in turning over your skin cells and helping heal damaged skin.
While the chemical peel was happening, it was only slightly uncomfortable. During the procedure, I was also a little light headed. My skin was red and tight for a few days and I felt swollen and just not so great! However, after a few more days, my skin peeled off and I went back for another facial to help calm my skin.
The results were in my opinion good! My pores appeared smaller and my skin was smoother! I want to do this chemical face peel again, but a may wait a few months. Thank you guys for watching and if you have questions, leave them in the comments!

Chemical peel
A chemical peel is a body treatment technique used to improve and smooth the texture of the skin, often facial skin, using a chemical solution that causes the dead skin to slough off and eventually peel off. The regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin. Some types of chemical peels can be purchased and administered without a medical license, however people are advised to seek professional help from a dermatologist, esthetician, plastic surgeon, oral and maxillofacial surgeon, or otolaryngologist on a specific type of chemical peel before a procedure is performed.
Types
There are several types of chemical peels.
Alpha hydroxy acid peels
Alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) are naturally occurring carboxylic acids such as glycolic acid, a natural constituent of sugar cane juice and lactic acid, found in sour milk and tomato juice. This is the mildest of the peel formulas and produces light peels for treatment of fine wrinkles, areas of dryness, uneven pigmentation and acne. Alpha hydroxy acids can also be mixed with a facial wash or cream in lesser concentrations as part of a daily skin-care regimen to improve the skin's texture.

Hey guys!! Today I wanted to chat with you about my Jessner Chemical Peel! I showed you guys before and after pics of the Jessner peel and how my face healed. I got this treatment because I have been trying to minimize the scarring that my acne has left over the years. I have had acne scarring for many years and have always struggled with how to get rid of acne. Some damage was done by sun damage, but some was from acne in my teenage years. Chemical peels are very effective in turning over your skin cells and helping heal damaged skin.
While the chemical peel was happening, it was only slightly uncomfortable. During the procedure, I was also a little light headed. My skin was red and tight for a few days and I felt swollen and just not so great! However, after a few more days, my skin peeled off and I went back for another facial to help calm my skin.
The results were in my opinion good! My pores appeared smaller and my skin was smoother! I want to do this chemical face peel again, but a may wait a few months. Thank you guys for watching and if you have questions, leave them in the comments!

Hey guys!! Today I wanted to chat with you about my Jessner Chemical Peel! I showed you guys before and after pics of the Jessner peel and how my face healed. I got this treatment because I have been trying to minimize the scarring that my acne has left over the years. I have had acne scarring for many years and have always struggled with how to get rid of acne. Some damage was done by sun damage, but some was from acne in my teenage years. Chemical peels are very effective in turning over your skin cells and helping heal damaged skin.
While the chemical peel was happening, it was only slightly uncomfortable. During the procedure, I was also a little light headed. My skin was red and tight for a few days and I felt swollen and just not so great! However, after a few more days, my skin peeled off and I went back for another facial to help calm my skin.
The results were in my opinion good! My pores appeared smaller and my skin was smoother! I want to do this chemical face peel again, but a may wait a few months. Thank you guys for watching and if you have questions, leave them in the comments!

My skin was red and tight for a few days and I felt swollen and just not so great! However, after a few more days, my skin peeled off and I went back for another facial to help calm my skin.
The results were in my opinion good! My pores appeared smaller and my skin was smoother! I want to do this chemical face peel again, but a may wait a few months. Thank you guys for watching and if you have questions, leave them in the comments!
