8969 is upcoming Pakistani thriller film directed by Azeem Sajjad. The film stars Saba Qamar, Hussain Tiwana, Sadaf Hamid and Anum Malik in lead roles. It is set to release in early 2016 under the production banner of A J Media Productions.

The film is directed by Azeem Sajjad who has directed many Pashto languege television serials. The trailer of 8969 was released in September 2014. The film was set to be related in 2015 but was pushed to 2016.

Saba Qamar

Saba Qamar Zaman (Urdu: صبا قمرزمان‎) is a Pakistani model and actress. She has appeared in a variety of television dramas and advertisements. In 2010, she played a politician in PTV's drama Jinaah Ke Naam opposite Sami Khan. After that she appeared in "Tera Pyar Nahi Bhoole", a romantic drama opposite Ahsan Khan. She has played roles in Dastaan, Bunty I Love You, Pani Jaisa Piyar, Jo Chalay To Jaan Se Guzar Gaye, Mein Chand Si Maat and Thakan. She has appeared on the Hum TV programs Digest Writer Kaisay Tum Se Kahoon and Sangat.

Career

Qamar first appeared in the television series Main Aurat Hoon. She won the PTV award for the best TV actress in both public and jury choice categories in the 16th Annual PTV awards on 23 July 2011.

Her on-air dramas include Bunty I Love You on Hum TV, Baimaan Mohabbat and Sannata on ARY Digital and the comedy series, Miss Fire on Geo Television in 2014. She is filming the serial Main Manto directed by Sarmad Sultan Khoosat. Saba is also doing an untitled drama serial directed by Amina Khan opposite Mikaal Zulfiqar for Mastermind Productions. In 2012, Qamar appeared in Maat playing the role of Saman, an ambitious and arrogant girl, who wishes to be successful and rich in life.

Air France Flight 8969

Air France Flight 8969 was an Air France flight that was hijacked on 24 December 1994 by the Armed Islamic Group (GIA) at Houari Boumedienne Airport, Algiers, Algeria, where the terrorists murdered three passengers, with the intention to blow up the plane over the Eiffel Tower in Paris. When the aircraft reached Marseille, the GIGN, a counter-terror unit of the French National Gendarmerie, stormed the plane and killed all four hijackers.

Flight

Algeria was in a state of civil war at the time of the hijacking. Aircraft flying to Algiers faced the possibility of missile attacks. As a result, Air France's flights to Algiers had crews entirely made of people who volunteered for the route. Air France had asked government officials if it absolutely had to continue flying to Algeria; as of the time of the hijacking, there had been no replies. Bernard Dhellemme was the captain of the flight. Jean-Paul Borderie was the copilot, and Alain Bossuat was the flight engineer. The Airbus A300B2-1C, tail number F-GBEC, had first flown on 28 February 1980.

Beyond Records

Beyond Records was an English record label founded in Birmingham in 1992, best known for its ambient dub compilations, which were to define the genre.

The label was set up by Mike Barnett, who had previous experience within the music industry in management and as a music agent, and who established the label in order to release music that satisfied his interest in contemporary electronic dance music and 1970s ambient music by artists such as Terry Riley. The label worked closely with Higher Intelligence Agency and Rockers Hi-Fi, and was closely involved in the Oscillate club, which was to host many of the early performances by ambient dub's pioneers.
