1998 Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR Super Sport being driven properly on the race track, does it get any better?! There are only 25 CLK GTR coupes in the world, only 2 are Super Sports, this is one of them, and this is literally car number 01 of 25. One of my best friends always wanted this car and about 2 years ago all the stars aligned and he was able to purchase the car and add it to his collection. Quite a few of you might know the owner through Instagram (@bc).
I'm very thankful he invited me to come to the track when he had both his CLK GTR and SLR McLaren at the track to drive. It was an incredible afternoon including a chance to go out for a ride in the CLK GTR! No video from the ride though, I decided to savor the experience. Hopefully I'll be able to share video from the track from inside the car in the future for everyone to enjoy.
I hope this gives you all an up close look at the car and the insane sound it makes from the 7.3 liter V12!

In this very first episode of #Cargasm we review a rare left side drive Mercedes CLK 63 AMG Black Edition which is 1 of only 349 ever sold in the United States making this car pretty rare. This car belongs to my friend James Rimmer who is GRC Lites driver # 25 in the Redbull Rallycross series. This car also served as the official pace car of Formula 1 for many years and is a personal favorite of Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear UK & The Grand Tour.

Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class
The Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class is a series of mid-size luxury coupés and convertibles produced by German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz in two generations, although its design and styling was derived from the E-Class although technically it was based on the mechanical underpinnings of the smaller C-Class, i.e. respectively based on the W202 and W203 platforms of the C-Class. It was positioned below the Mercedes-Benz CL-Class and SL-Class, but above the SLK-Class. The CLK name derives from the German Coupé Leicht Kompakt (or Kurz), translated Coupé-Light-Short. In 2009 Mercedes ceased to use the CLK designation moving the segment designation back to E-Class Coupe/Convertible instead, as it had called this specific line of its vehicles previously before the CLK moniker was introduced in the 1990s.
First generation (1997–2003; C208/A208)
The first-generation C208/A208 CLK was introduced in 1997, and was based on the W202 Mercedes-Benz C-Class launched three years earlier. The C208 coupé was replaced by the C209 CLK-Class in 2002, although the convertible remained in production until 2003 when replaced by the A209 CLK.

Very Rare 2008 Mercedes CLK 63 AMG Black Series - Cargasm Ep. 1
In this very first episode of #Cargasm we review a rare left side drive Mercedes CLK 63 AMG Black Edition which is 1 of only 349 ever sold in the United States making this car pretty rare. This car belongs to my friend James Rimmer who is GRC Lites driver # 25 in the Redbull Rallycross series. 1998 Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR Super Sport being driven properly on the race track, does it get any better?! There are only 25 CLK GTR coupes in the world, only 2 are Super Sports, this is one of them, and this is literally car number 01 of 25. One of my best friends always wanted this car and about 2 years ago all the stars aligned and he was able to purchase the car and add it to his collection. Quite a few of you might know the owner through Instagram (@bc).
I'm very thankful he invited me to come to the track when he had both his CLK GTR and SLR McLaren at the track to drive. It was an incredible afternoon including a chance to go out for a ride in the CLK GTR! No video from the ride though, I decided to savor the experience. Hopefully I'll be able to share video from the track from inside the car in the future for everyone to enjoy.
I hope this gives you all an up close look at the car and the insane sound it makes from the 7.3 liter V12!
