Jagga Jasoos

Jagga Jasoos (English: Jagga Detective) is an upcoming Indian comedy-drama film directed by Anurag Basu, and produced by Basu and Ranbir Kapoor. The film features Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Adah Sharma and Govinda in lead roles, and tells the story of a teenage detective in search of his missing father.

Production

Filming is taking place in Cape Town, South Africa. Actress Katrina Kaif undertook training in Israeli martial art Krav Maga for her role in the film, supplementing the martial arts she had previously learned for Ek Tha Tiger. Reports from Cape Town were that the real-world romance of leads Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif and occasional arguments between the two caused some delays and resulted in scenes not having the impact intended by director Anurag Basu. By 20 March 2014, the director had completed 20 days of filming with his leads and, being unhappy with initial efforts by actor Ranbir Kapoor, intends to use the additional schedule time to re-shoot some scenes. Ranbir Kapoor has been simultaneously shooting for Anurag Kashyap. The director explained, "We’ve to shoot Jagga Jasoos during the gaps in the shooting of Bombay Velvet. We completed one schedule. Now we’ll go into a lengthy schedule from August. By the end of the year the shooting would be complete."

SATUMA Jasoos

Jasoos (Urdu: جاسوس‎ English: spy ) is an unmanned aerial vehicle designed and manufactured by SATUMA of Pakistan. The Jasoos II Bravo+ variant is currently operational with the Pakistan Air Force.

The Jasoos is controlled remotely from the ground control station (GCS) via a line-of-sight data-link. It can carry a range of payloads weighing up to 20 kg, the standard version being equipped with a daytime and low light camera capable of panning and tilting 360 degrees in azimuth and +/- 105 degrees in elevation. Endurance is stated to be greater than 5 hours. Jasoos II is believed to be based on the AWC Bravo+.

Jasoos II is a state of the art UAV to be employed for real time information and situational awareness. Bravo+, variant of Jasoos II UAV has been inducted in the Pakistan Air Force. Since its induction in Pakistan Air Force in 2004, Bravo+ has proven to be very reliable system that is extremely easy to operate and maintain. The UAV takeoff and land conventionally from a runway under manual control. Once airborne the UAV can fly autonomously where as mission can be controlled using line-of-site data links. Jasoos II can carry a variety of controllable payloads of up to 20 kg with an endurance of greater than 4 to 5 hours. The standard variant of Jasoos II is equipped with a steer-able day/low light camera pod capable of being steered 360 deg in azimuth and +/- 105 deg in elevation giving it the capability of panoramic viewing. Bravo+ is currently in production for the Pakistan Air Force as their primary work horse for UAV Operations and Training Program.

Ranbir Kapoor

Ranbir Kapoor (pronounced [rəˈɳbiːr kəˈpuːr]; born 28 September 1982) is an Indian actor. Through his career in Bollywood films, he has become one of the highest-paid actors and popular celebrities in India. He is the recipient of several awards, including five Filmfare Awards.

The son of actors Rishi and Neetu, and the grandson of actor-director Raj, Kapoor pursued film-making and method acting at the School of Visual Arts and the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, respectively. He subsequently assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali on the film Black (2005). Kapoor made his acting debut with Bhansali's tragic romance Saawariya (2007), a box office flop but notable for earning him his first Filmfare Award—Best Male Debut. He was awarded the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor for his performances in three films of 2009—the coming-of-age film Wake Up Sid, the comedy Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, and the drama Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year.

Kapoor won two consecutive Best Actor awards at Filmfare for portraying a troubled musician in the drama Rockstar (2011) and a deaf-mute man in the comedy-drama Barfi! (2012). A starring role in the romantic comedy Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013), one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films, established him as a leading Bollywood actor. However, he followed it by starring in a series of films that under-performed at the box office, although his performance in the romantic drama Tamasha (2015) was praised.

Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif (pronounced [kəˈʈriːnaː ˈkɛːf], born Katrina Turquotte; 16 July 1983) is a British-Indian film actress and model. Primarily known for her work in Bollywood films, Kaif has also appeared in Telugu and Malayalam films. In addition to being one of Bollywood's highest-paid actresses, she is considered one of India's most attractive celebrities by the media.

Born in British Hong Kong, Kaif and her family lived in several countries before she moved to India. She received her first modelling assignment as a teenager and later pursued a career as a fashion model. At a fashion show in London, filmmaker Kaizad Gustad spotted Kaif and decided to cast her in Boom (2003), a critical and commercial failure. While filming in India, Kaif received modelling assignments and established a successful modelling career. However, filmmakers were hesitant to cast her due to her poor command of Hindi. After appearing in the Telugu film, Malliswari (2004), Kaif earned commercial success in Bollywood with the romantic comedies Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya? (2005) and Namastey London (2007). She followed with a series of box-office hits, but was criticised for her acting, repetitive roles and inclination to male-dominated films.

Anurag Basu

Anurag Basu is an India television-advertiser, director, actor, screenwriter and producer. Basu achieved initial success with his films tackling the themes of passion and adultery such as Life in a... Metro, Kites, Gangster and Murder. He began his directing career in television, moving to feature films in 2002.

Early life

Basu was born into an upper-middle-class Bengali Kayastha family in Bhilai, C.G.. His parents, Subrato Bose and Deepshikha Bose, were award-winning theatrical artists and Basu grew up watching them perform in his father's theatre company (Abhiyaan). He attended BSP Senior Secondary School, Sector -IV, Bhilai Steel Plant, Steel Authority of India Ltd. , spending part of his life in Garia, South Kolkata. Although Basu was admitted to Jabalpur Engineering College, but he quit it after some time. He received a BSc degree in physics hnrs. from the University of Mumbai, intending to study cinematography at FTII, Pune; however, during his college years in Mumbai he had an opportunity to assist on a number of levels in TV and film projects. After trying to remain involved with filmmaking, Basu became an assistant director to Raman Kumar on Tara.
