A pedal (from the Latin pes, pedis, meaning 'foot') is a lever activated by one's foot, sometimes called a "foot pedal" (but all pedals are used by a foot). It may specifically refer to:
Dr. No may refer to:
Due to the notoriety of the James Bond novel and film, the term "Dr. No" is often used to describe politicians who usually vote against proposals unless they feel a substantial case to vote for it has been made. Some notable politicians who have been given the nickname include:

Michael Angelo Batio (/ˈbeɪti.oʊ/; born February 23, 1956) also known as Mike Batio or MAB, is an American heavy metal guitarist and columnist from Chicago, Illinois. He was the lead guitarist for the Los Angeles-based glam metal band Nitro in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Batio's work has encompassed many genres, but he is best known for playing heavy metal and its subgenres such as neoclassical metal, and speed metal. Batio is known for his technical mastery of the fretboard and his extremely fast picking and sweep picked arpeggios. He is also known for his showmanship during performances, particularly his use of the "Over-Under" technique, and for his ability to play a double and quad guitar, using both hands to play. Batio is also noted for his guitar instruction DVDs in the "Speed Kills" series which teach shred guitar techniques and how to "master the art of playing lightning fast". Batio was voted the "No. 1 Shredder of All Time" by Guitar One Magazine in 2003.

http://bit.ly/DRNO_Pedals There are many companies today offering vintage-style boutique effects, all said to be constructed with the highest grade components, some of them offering stunning vintage tones. But with so many claiming the same things, the market place is becoming flooded, so I tend to stick to my 'old faithfuls', simply because the amount of choice is now quite overwhelming. But now and again you have to sit up and take notice of a newcomer and when our friends at Tone World, who know a thing or two about pedals, told us they had taken on distribution for a new brand called Dr No, we knew we should at least check them out. Dr No is Roel Aben. Roel started building pedals around six years ago in his attic in the Netherlands, producing pedals for himself and his friends. Hi...
Not only does Ben Fulton have both hair and axe-chops that put many to shame, he's made himself a pretty sweet day-job: designing some of the gnarliest guitar effects pedals around. In this video he demonstrates his Red Witch Fuzz God II, a silicon-chip fuzz with tons of gain and a few functions that take it beyond just about every other fuzz pedal on the market. If you're still reading this, allow us to further whet your appetite for video demo mayhem: controls on the Red Witch Fuzz God II include "Awaken," "Wrath," "Sputter," and "TWO LIGHTNING BOLTS." OMG, it's awesome.
Available at Musictoyz.com In January 1970 Led Zeppelin hit the stage of London's historic concert hall, Royal Albert Hall. At this performance Jimmy Page expressed himself masterfully with a broad pallet of tones and GIANT dynamic range. Of course this has a lot to do with Page's playing technique and Gibson Les Paul. His backline amps, custom Hiwatt heads into Marshall cabinets filled the entire hall with a cornucopia of colors at levels ranging from a mouse whisper to rave ups louder than a jumbo jet taking off only inches over your head. At Catalinbread we love the RAH performance, but we hadn't considered the possibility of capturing it to put into a pedal... One day our friend Charlie got ahold of Catalinbread's chief circuit designer Howard Gee to ask if we could do it. Charlie...
The MXR Phase 90! I think this is probably one of the most iconic pedals in the world. The person who I guess made it famous is the man himself, "Eddie Van Halen" who made this pedal soon popular. The reason this pedal is so iconic is because of its sound. I can't even explain it. It just sounds great! And only $112!
