Sizzla Kalonji, or simply Sizzla (born Miguel Orlando Collins, 17 April 1976, Kingston, Jamaica) is a reggae musician. He is one of the most commercially and critically successful contemporary reggae artists and is noted for his high number of releases. As of 2014 he has released over 70 solo albums.
Sizzla was born in Kingston to devout Rastafari movement parents. Like them Sizzla subscribes to the Bobo Ashanti branch of the Rastafari movement. He was raised in August Town, Kingston, Jamaica where he studied mechanical engineering at Dunoon High School.
Kalonji witnessed a dancehall explosion, and with the music came the lifestyle: drugs, guns, and "slackness" (vulgarity). Formally adopting the Rastafari faith, with its advocacy of repatriation to Africa and its use of cannabis, he joined the ranks of the Bobo Shanti in the mid-1990s.
Sizzla began to develop his own style whilst serving his musical apprenticeship with the Caveman Hi-Fi sound system. He has used his music as a vehicle for his message, kickstarting his recording career in 1995 with a release through the Zagalou label, he then teamed up with "Bobby Digital" Dixon for a series of singles. Extensive touring with fellow roots and culture artist Luciano followed, earning Sizzla notability.
Mista Savona (born Jake Dominic Savona) is a highly regarded Reggae, Dancehall and Hip-hop producer and keyboardist based in Melbourne, Australia. He first gained international recognition with the release of his third self-produced album Melbourne Meets Kingston, released by Elefant Traks in 2007. This 21 track album was recorded in Jamaica and Australia between 2004 and 2007, and is the first ever album length collaboration between Australian and Jamaican musicians. It features performances from Jamaican singers and deejays such as Anthony B, Determine and Big Youth. It was followed in 2011 with the international release of his fourth studio album "Warn The Nation", recorded in the UK, Jamaica, Australia and Africa. It features internationally renowned artists such as Capleton, Sizzla, Horace Andy (Massive Attack), Alton Ellis (in one of his last recordings), Burro Banton and more. The album received widespread critical acclaim, including Triple J describing it as “Australia’s definitive reggae album”. He is also the first Australian producer to release his own riddim series in Jamaica, the successful 'Fire Dragon' riddim released in 2009 which features artists such as Sizzla, Burro Banton and Vida-Sunshyne. Other releases include two solo albums, Invasion Day and Bass & Roots, as well as Born A King, a full-length album with Jamaican singer Sizzla (released by US label Muti Music in May, 2014) which is being hailed as one of the strongest of Sizzla's career.
L.O.L: Lack Of Love, is an evolutionary adventure game developed by Love-de-Lic and published by ASCII Entertainment for the Sega Dreamcast. The game was released exclusively in Japan on November 2, 2000.
The gameplay of L.O.L.: Lack of Love revolves around the player's control of a single creature placed on an alien planet during robotic terraforming. The player must cause the creature to evolve into a new form by communicating with other living creatures, establishing symbiotic relationships with them, and thus helping them. The game is non-linear, lacking a HUD almost entirely and requiring the player to simply remain alive. This can be done by helping, or eating other creatures, as well as performing various bodily functions including sleeping and urinating.
L.O.L.: Lack of Love is the last in a trio of games developed by Love-de-Lic. It was directed by Kenichi Nishi and produced by Hiroshi Suzuki. The game was designed by Keita Eto and Yoshiro Kimura, the latter of whom had already left Love-de-Lic and began working on other projects with his company Punchline. The musical score for L.O.L.: Lack of Love was created by film composer Ryuichi Sakamoto, who was also the game's scenario writer. Nishi and Sakamoto met at Club Eden via a mutual friend and, through a series of e-mails, began discussing James Lovelock’s Gaia hypothesis. This theory states that the earth's living organisms function in harmony and respond to ecological changes in order for the planet to sustain life. "We should care for other people, life, the environment and nature," Nishi explained about the game's message. "Sakamoto came up with the title. We wanted to question the way in which our lifestyle lacks love."

Passing through NYC on the way home from what he calls an "awesome" performance at Reggae on the River, Sizzla Kalonji stopped by Irie Jam Media HQ to promote his big return to NYC at Irie Jamboree Sept 4, 2016. It's been 8 years since the fiery artist has touched down in New York, and anticiation is high. Before going on the air with Jabba and Dubbmaster Chris, Sizzla sat down with Robert Cooper, who was doing his first interview for Boomshots TV. They spoke about Sizzla's plans for touring and recording while in the U.S., and also took time out to discuss Kalonji's thoughts on the Black Lives Matter movement. [Intro:]
Hail to the High owner of Iration and his Imperial Majesty
Emperor Haile Selassie I
I'm from a place where there's only love
Where the sun comes home every morning
Be upright black people and love Jah works
In praises I and I chant with the rising
Step away, get away, from the sinking sand
Never you disobey, yow, Selassie I the conquering lion
The again
[Chorus:]
Then a wah dat the whole a them a gwaab with?
Who that the bugger them go par with?
Them go bow and go stoop themselves low
Rasta man a trod it up, it's like them never know.
Wah dat the whole a them a gwaan with?
Who that the bugger them go par with?
