Blood In Blood Out

Blood In Blood Out (also known as Bound by Honor) is a 1993 American crime-drama film directed by Taylor Hackford. It follows the intertwining lives of the three Chicano relatives from 1972 to 1984. They start out as members of a street gang in East Los Angeles, and as dramatic incidents occur, their lives and friendships are forever changed. Blood In Blood Out was filmed in 1991 throughout the Spanish-speaking areas of Los Angeles and inside California's San Quentin State Prison.

Plot

Miklo is a man of Mexican and Caucasian ethnicity who grew up in El Pico Aliso barrio in east Los Angeles. Upon moving back home from Las Vegas, Nevada, Miklo goes to stay with his two cousins Paco and Cruz. Miklo tells Cruz that he wants to join their gang Vatos Locos. While Paco is initially skeptical, Miklo later proves himself when he performs an attack on a rival gang, Tres Puntos. Afterwards he is made a member of Vatos Locos.

However, the Tres Puntos gang soon takes revenge by brutally attacking Cruz who is a budding artist, and damages his back for life. When Vatos Locos learn of the attack, they perform a well-planned counterattack. However, things go wrong when Miklo ends up getting shot by their rival gang's leader, "Spider". Miklo is able to shoot and kill Spider, but has to be rushed to the hospital by Paco while being chased by police. Paco crashes into another car at the El Pino tree and they are both arrested.

Blood Out

Blood Out is a 2011 American action thriller film released direct-to-video. The film is written by Jason Hewitt and John A. O'Connell, starring Val Kilmer and Luke Goss, and is Hewitt's directorial debut.

Plot

Small town Cop Michael Savion (Luke Goss) gets stone-walled by big city detectives led by Hardwick (50 Cent) when he asks them to investigate his younger brother's death. After his brother's death he swears vengeance in a flashback where he fires his gun in the rain over his dead body. His brother David (Ryan Donowho), a gangster, was murdered by members of his own gang for having wanted to quit the gang lifestyle in order to marry Gloria (a gang members sister), and for being suspected of 'ratting' out his gangs activities... Savion takes off his badge and goes vigilante to seek justice for the death of his brother, and crosses paths with Arturo (Val Kilmer), the leader of an international ring involved in human trafficking.

Blood

Blood is a bodily fluid in humans and other animals that delivers necessary substances such as nutrients and oxygen to the cells and transports metabolic waste products away from those same cells. When it reaches the lungs, gas exchange occurs when carbon dioxide is diffused out of the blood into the pulmonary alveoli and oxygen is diffused into the blood. This oxygenated blood is pumped to the left hand side of the heart in the pulmonary vein and enters the left atrium. From here it passes through the mitral valve, through the ventricle and taken all around the body by the aorta. Blood contains antibodies, nutrients, oxygen and much more to help the body work.

In vertebrates, it is composed of blood cells suspended in blood plasma. Plasma, which constitutes 55% of blood fluid, is mostly water (92% by volume), and contains dissipated proteins, glucose, mineral ions, hormones, carbon dioxide (plasma being the main medium for excretory product transportation), and blood cells themselves. Albumin is the main protein in plasma, and it functions to regulate the colloidal osmotic pressure of blood. The blood cells are mainly red blood cells (also called RBCs or erythrocytes), white blood cells (also called WBCs or leukocytes) and platelets. The most abundant cells in vertebrate blood are red blood cells. These contain hemoglobin, an iron-containing protein, which facilitates oxygen transport by reversibly binding to this respiratory gas and greatly increasing its solubility in blood. In contrast, carbon dioxide is almost entirely transported extracellularly dissolved in plasma as bicarbonate ion.

Vatos Locos

Vatos Locos (in English, Crazy Dudes) is a widely used name for a Mexican street gang. Gangs using this name are active in several American states, but the real vatos locos originate from Florida, and the city that they originate from to be exact is Fort Pierce, Florida, which they are mainly active in and they are mainly in Fort Pierce's South 18th Street area by Delaware and around South 33rd Street and Orange Avenue. They use black bandanas to represent Vatos Locos, and often spray paint vatos locos graffiti. They often have "Vatos Locos", Lowrider logo, or Lil Rob tattoos. Vatos Locos are mainly Hispanics or Chicanos.

Their biggest rival are Sureños (or South 13) and they are often called by them as "sus ratas" (their rats). Trinitarios are also their rivals, along with MS-13, Aryan Brotherhood, Los Zetas, Sinaloa Cartel, etc. Their allies are Latin Kings, Bloods, Norteños, Ñetas, and Vice Lords.

So far, Vatos Locos has established itself in the Netherlands and some US sates (California, Colorado, Georgia, Texas, Arizona and Indiana). They are also present in Ontario, Canada and South Africa.
