The GeForce 900 Series is a family of graphics processing units developed by Nvidia, used in desktop and laptop PCs. It serves as the high-end introduction for the Maxwell architecture (GM-codenamed chips), named after the Scottish theoretical physicist James Clerk Maxwell.
The Maxwell microarchitecture, the successor to Kepler microarchitecture, will for the first time feature an integrated ARM CPU of its own. This will make Maxwell GPUs more independent from the main CPU according to Nvidia's CEO Jen-Hsun Huang. Nvidia expects three major things from the Maxwell architecture: improved graphics capabilities, simplified programming as well as better energy-efficiency compared to the GeForce 700 Series and GeForce 600 Series
Maxwell was announced in September 2010. The first GeForce consumer-class products based on the Maxwell architecture were released in early 2014. Nvidia is expected to release the Maxwell-powered Tesla accelerator cards as well as Quadro professional graphics cards based on this architecture in late 2014. Eventually, Maxwell architecture will be used for mobile application processors that belong to the Erista family of Tegra SoCs.
USB 3.0 (renamed to USB 3.1 Gen 1 in 2015) is the third major version of the Universal Serial Bus (USB) standard for interfacing computers and electronic devices. Among other improvements, USB 3.0 adds the new transfer mode SuperSpeed (SS) that can transfer data at up to 5 Gbit/s (625 MB/s), which is about ten times faster than the USB 2.0 standard. USB 3.0 connectors are usually distinguished from their USB 2.0 counterparts by blue color-coding of the receptacles and plugs, and the initials SS.
A successor standard, USB 3.1 (renamed to USB 3.1 Gen 2 in 2015), was released in July 2013 with the new transfer mode SuperSpeed+ that can transfer data at up to 10 Gbit/s (1.25 GB/s, twice the rate of USB 3.0), bringing its theoretical maximum speed on par with the first version of the Thunderbolt interface.
The USB 3.0 specification is similar to USB 2.0 but with many improvements and an alternative implementation. Earlier USB concepts like endpoints and four transfer types (bulk, control, isochronous and interrupt) are preserved but the protocol and electrical interface are different. The specification defines a physically separate channel to carry USB 3.0 traffic. The changes in this specification make improvements in the following areas:

Skylake sort-of supports both DDR3 and DDR4. But things aren't as cut and dry as they seem. Skylake ACTUALLY only supports DDR3L - so should you try and keep your previous set of memory, or go ahead and upgrade to DDR4? That's what Keys and Linus are here for. It's cool. We GOTchu. I sat and stared at the sky.
I knew I'd find myself there again.
I wonder how else to cope with the air.
The air that brings me this luck.
I'm unlucky, that's just me
Seems what used to be has changed.
And I feel it coming again
I feel it coming with the wind
I feel it coming again
I feel it breaking with the wind
And I know, I won't feel it again if I just played along.
"Stupid games are for stupid people" and they end just like a song.
A song with no beginning, a song that has no meaning.
Just like this one, just like this one...
I sat and stared at the sky.
I knew I'd find myself there again.
I wonder how else to cope with the air.
And I feel it coming again
I feel it coming with the wind
I feel it coming again
I feel it breaking with the wind
