    Thus, a total amount of Rs24,836 crores is being transferred from IGST to CGST/SGST account by way of settlement. Total collection of CGST & SGST for December, 2017 (upto 25th December) is Rs23,437 crores & Rs. 33,138 crores resp, including transfers by way of settlement.

    Further Rs10,348 crores is being transferred 4m IGST to CGSTaccount & Rs14,488 crores is being transferred from IGST to SGSTaccount by way of settlement of funds due to cross utilization of IGST credit for payment of CGST and SGST resp or due to interState B2C transactions.

    Of the Rs. 80,808 crores collected under GST for the month of December, 2017, Rs. 13,089 crores have been collected as CGST, Rs. 18,650 crores has been collected as SGST, Rs. 41,270 crores has been collected as IGST and Rs. 7,798 crores has been collected as Compensation cess.

    The 24th GST Concil Meeting held today through video conferencing under the Chairmanship of FM Shri also decided that in any case,the uniform system of e-way Bill for inter-State as well as intra-State movement will be implemented across the country by 1st June,2018.

    GST Council also decided: While the system for both inter-State and intra-State e-way Bill generation will be ready by 16th January, 2018, the States may choose their own timings for implementation of e-way Bill for intra-State movement of goods on any date before 1st June,2018.

    The GST Council also decided that rules for implementation of nationwide e-way Bill system for inter-State movement of goods on a compulsory basis will be notified w.e.f. 1st February, 2018.This will bring uniformity across the States for seamless inter-State movement of goods
