It WAS a beautiful day for Conor McGregor when he arrived back on home soil and ran into U2's The Edge in Dublin Airport.

The new UFC featherweight champion flew home in time for Christmas with his family and friends as the celebrations continued after his remarkable 13-second knockout of Jose Aldo.

McGregor spotted music star The Edge on the runway and tweeted: "Flying home for Christmas and bump into @U2's 'The Edge' #ItsABeautifulDay."

The Dubliner is set to spend Christmas in a €2m mansion in the K Club with long-time girlfriend Dee Devlin.

Photos have emerged of some high-end cars outside the Co Kildare property.

A Range Rover, BMW I8, Cadillac Escalade and Mercedes S Class Coupe were spotted in the driveway.

McGregor had been staying with his parents on visits home, but he's expected to spend the festive season at the millionaires' hangout.

Meanwhile, three highly- rated UFC fighters called out the Irishman over the weekend, with one even calling him "a motherf***er" live on air.

Lightweight champion Raf-ael dos Anjos, Nate Diaz and Charles Oliveira all challenged McGregor to a fight.

"Conor McGregor, I will go to Ireland to face you. I'm here to stay," said Brazilian Dos Anjos.

American Nate Diaz unleashed an expletive-filled rant about McGregor.

After calling him a "motherf***er", he said: "You know what's the real money fight, and it's me."

In response, McGregor posted a picture of himself online standing in front of a Rolls-Royce and looking unfazed.

"Line them up on their knees with their hands out. I want them to beg me," he wrote.
