Song

A song is a single (and often standalone) work of music intended to be sung by the human voice with distinct and fixed pitches and patterns using sound and silence and a variety of forms that often include the repetition of sections. Written words created specifically for music or for which music is specifically created, are called lyrics. If a pre-existing poem is set to composed music in classical music it is an art song. Songs that are sung on repeated pitches without distinct contours and patterns that rise and fall are called chants. Harish Verma

Harish Verma (Born 11 October 1982 is a film actor. He rose to fame from the role of "Jatt Tinka" in the Punjabi movie Yaar Annmulle in 2011. On television, Harish is known for his role of Avtar singh sangvan in Na Aana Is Des Laado. He made his debut in 2010 movie, Panjaban, where he played an anti-hero in the movie.

Career

Under the guidance of veteran Punjabi theatrist S.Gursharan Singh, Harish played almost all the characters and polished his skills. Having enacted in almost 70 plays and over 2500 repeat performances he moved to Mumbai and got the most important and the positive role of Avtaar Singh(the youngest son in the family ) in TV Series"Na ana is des laado" on Colors. In 2009 he played a negetive hero in his debut Punjabi movie "Panjaban" for which he was nominated as the Best actor in negative role in the first PTC Punjabi film awards 2010. In 2011, his role in the movie Yaar Annmulle was the most loved and appreciated by the audience. His flawless acting got appreciated by many film critics, which finally won him the Best Actor critic award.

Jaz Dhami

Jaswinder Singh Dhami (born 1 March 1986), best known by his stage name Jaz Dhami, is a music artist of the Folkhop genre, signed in 2008 to Sanchez Productions Ltd. Native village is Sang Dhesiya in the Jalandhar district. He also conducts concerts with the latest being at DPS,Kanpur in August

Early life

Jaz Dhami is of Punjabi, Sikh origin, raised in Birmingham, Handsworth. He is the son of Viccar Dhami, lead vocalist of the legendary Bhangra band Sangam. From the age of nine Jaz’s vocal abilities were recognized by his father. At the age of 9, Jaz began on his musical journey, undertaking tutorials in Indian classical training in Birmingham, England.

Community work

Jaz Dhami is involved in encouraging Asians to get into football and is featured in The Football Association's "Football Needs" campaign.
