Brisbane hold on to win, but Souths will well and truly feel like they lost that game. After battling back into the contest, it was see-sawing until the very end but Anthony Milford's clutch field goal was enough to win it. There were gigantic question marks over both the final try of the game and the field goal, which, on replay, looks like it was clearly knocked on by Milford before he slotted it through. I'm sure we'll hear more from Michael Maguire after the game - thanks for following along, we'll see you next time. 

Game over. Not sure why they didn't attempt a field goal from right in front with a chance to tie the game. 

Gillett of all people drills it into touch and Souths will have to go 80 metres. 

He picks it up off the bootlaces, spins away from Farah and snaps it with his left foot! 

Tom Burgess loses it! Big error. Brisbane will definitely have another shot to win it... 

Another shocker. He slices it wide and Souths will get a seven tackle set. 

How has he missed that? 20 out, right in front and no pressure on him..but he slices it wide!

McCullough called for a flop and Souths will attack! Six minutes to go. 

Milford has to kick from inside his own 40 and Johnston gets to it on the full. Surely both teams are thinking field goal very soon? 

Brisbane kick long, then Souths do the same. A bad bomb from Walker is batted back and a second kick pins Boyd just in front of his own line. 

Milford ties us up! 24-24. 

I don't know how to explain this but I'll do my best. He got beyond Talakai and looked certain to score but Crichton, and then later Johnston and Hunt, have done fantastically well to hold him up...after that, the ball comes out the back and Moga scores. It looked a completed tackle to me but it's green lights! 

A drilled grubber is spilled by Johnston and the Broncos will get a full set 10m out. 

The replacement winger is having a shocker tonight - he spills the grubber, Goodwin picks up the crumbs and scores but it's ruled he shoved James Roberts out of the way to get the ball. 

The hooker goes himself from dummy half but he's lost the ball before grounding it! Huge let-off for Souths. 

Souths again defending well but George Burgess hits Roberts high. Brisbane will come again! 

The Mascot boy is on for his debut. 

Souths hold firm but George Burgess smashes Milford late with a blatant shoulder charge. Idiotic from the prop. 

Farah drills a low kick into space and Boyd takes it up to the 20. Finally, Brisbane have a chance to answer back after what seems like an age without the ball.
