Lindsay Lohan launches lifestyle site to reveal her 'secrets'

Check your couch cushions for spare change ... noughties Hollywood It-girl Lindsay Lohan is launching a website promising an inside look at her life. For a price.

For $US2.99 ($3.95) a month, fans can have access to Lohan's lifestyle content, which is part of a new celebrity site, Preemium. The monthly fee gives fans access to all her "secrets", with everything from personal diaries to fashion and beauty tutorials on offer.

In a statement on the new website, Lohan said: "I will give you access to all my exclusive content and tell you all my secrets and breaking news before anyone else."

It will include, "personal diaries, video updates, exclusive personal photos, breaking news, fashion and beauty tutorials, shopping guides, behind the scenes content . . . and much more", she continued.

So far the site features behind-the-scenes content from photo shoots, and as part of the launch, the star has deleted all but 39 images from her Instagram as part of a "period of renewal".

The announcement comes in the middle of a comeback year for Lohan. The Mean Girls star is to host a reality prank show called The Anti-Social Network, in which Lohan hacks into people's social media accounts for 24 hours. Theactor is also slated to star alongside Harry Potter alumni Rupert Grint in the British television series Sick Note.

"I love social media. I am social media," she said during a trailer for The Anti-Social Network this year. "Everybody knows you should never leave your phone lying around – especially near me. I decided I'm going to hijack your social media – your Instagram, your Snapchat, your Facebook, your Twitter – all of it for 24 hours."

Lohan's new side hustle gives her entrance into a select group of celebrities who have branched into lifestyle websites. The more famous of which includes Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop, Meghan Markle's now-shuttered The Tig and the Kardashian/Jenner clan's clutch of eponymous apps. Not every celebrity lifestyle website is a winner though. Remember Blake Lively's much lampooned and failed  Preserve?

So it's really up to Lohan's fan base, which includes 6.1 million Instagram followers and 9.38 million Twitter followers – an audience that she has at times kept guessing with moves such as deleting all of her photos on Instagram and posting an Arabic greeting and shifting her accent –  to keep the site afloat in a dog-eat-dog world of celebrity lifestyle websites.
