Here are 11 facts about starfish or sea stars as they are now called to help gain a better understanding about them.

Synopsis
11. The Sea Star is the alternative name for a starfish as it is not a fish but an echinoderm and it is related to sand dollars or sea urchins.
10. Around the oceans of the world there are around 2000 species of sea star living in all kinds of climates, from warm to cold waters.
9. The five armed species of sea star are the most common, but there are species that have many more arms. In fact, there are some that have up to 40 arms.
8. Sea stars have calcified and bony skin which gives them protection from predators. Different species have different colourings including many species that have striking colours so as to warn off predators.
7. They are strictly saltwater creatures and do not survive in freshwater.
6. Sea stars have the ability to regenerate their limbs and in some cases can regenerate their entire bodies. They can do this as they have most if not all of their vital organs in their arms. However, this does not happen quickly and it will take about a year for a limb to grow back.
5. Some species of sea stars need to have their main body in tact in order to regenerate their arms.
4. However their are some species that need just some of their severed limbs to be intact in order to grow a whole new body.
3. The majority of sea stars have the amazing ability to eat their prey outside of their bodies. They use small suction cupped tubed feet to open up the oysters and clams that they eat and their stomach then emerges from their mouths and their arms prise open the shell just enough and their stomach then enters it and digests it. Then the stomach then returns to the body. So basically they eat inside out, and this allows them to eat larger prey than they would normally be able to fit into their mouths.
2. Sea stars do not have blood in their bodies. Instead, they have a water vascular system where they pump sea water through its sift plate or majoporite into their tube feet. Their tube feet are full of sea water and give strength to them. They then use their tube feet to move and to hold their prey.
1. They have an anae spot and the end of each of their arms which is a very simple eye that looks like a red spot. The eye can sense dark and light but not a lot of detail.
Rico Puestel was born in 1986 and has been raised in a small rural German town in Lower-Saxony. While attending primary school, he started taking first piano lessons and slipped off his "musical hymen". Rico grew up with different aspects of music through classical music, electronic music, the 60/70's rock music, jazz etc. - he's always been interested in every kind of audible expression, just finding it all through his different emotional moods. Concerning electronic music, he used to grew up with hardcore-techno that was going over to a "90s-techno-allround-interest", starting around records like C.J. Bolland's "Neural Paradox". While growing older, Rico studied djing via self-education and passed various dj-gigs when he was between 12 and 16 years old. Besides, he started creating sounds, structures and small arrangements after taking his first "producing-steps" as a young boy on an old AMIGA® step-sequencer program. His main intention was to figure out how to preserve and re-enact personal visions, experiences, situations, places, things and the connected emotions and feelings through organic tones and harmonies, electronic signals and noises. To add new possibilities to this intentional plan, satisfy his musical desires and enlarge his practical skills, he trained himself in playing the guitar and drums. Inspired by masses of fantastic music from each line of business, he constantly urged himself to manage the next step. So, there hasn't been much time for partying, drinking or to lead a wicked and disastrous way of growing up, but even more for inhaling and enjoying people and nature. In 2005 and 2006, Rico could gain his first official releases on the German labels "Dark-Noize-Recordings" and "Minimal Sound Noise", presenting a time of strong and rebellious assimilations with stern tracks like "Senjor Soldjas", "And You All Didn't Get It" or "Something Must Happen", but also smooth and vulnerable pieces like "Winterkaelte" or "Interstate West" - just some excerpts of preserving and re-enacting thoughts. While personally moving further, his music steadily experiences stylistic changes and refreshments, remaining unpredictable and varied for himself in its definite form - striving, restrained, overturned, uncanny or quirky, but always keeping a clear line due to his individual touch of positive tension, funkyness and soul.

Starfish
Starfish or sea stars are star-shaped echinoderms belonging to the class Asteroidea. Common usage frequently finds these names being also applied to ophiuroids, which are correctly referred to as brittle stars or "basket stars". About 1,500 species of starfish occur on the seabed in all the world's oceans, from the tropics to frigid polar waters. They are found from the intertidal zone down to abyssal depths, 6,000 m (20,000 ft) below the surface.
Starfish are marine invertebrates. They typically have a central disc and five arms, though some species have a larger number of arms. The aboral or upper surface may be smooth, granular or spiny, and is covered with overlapping plates. Many species are brightly coloured in various shades of red or orange, while others are blue, grey or brown. Starfish have tube feet operated by a hydraulic system and a mouth at the centre of the oral or lower surface. They are opportunistic feeders and are mostly predators on benthic invertebrates. Several species have specialized feeding behaviours including eversion of their stomachs and suspension feeding. They have complex life cycles and can reproduce both sexually and asexually. Most can regenerate damaged parts or lost arms and they can shed arms as a means of defence. The Asteroidea occupy several significant ecological roles. Starfish, such as the ochre sea star (Pisaster ochraceus) and the reef sea star (Stichaster australis), have become widely known as examples of the keystone species concept in ecology. The tropical crown-of-thorns starfish (Acanthaster planci) is a voracious predator of coral throughout the Indo-Pacific region, and the northern Pacific sea star is considered to be one of the world's 100 worst invasive species.

Studio C
Studio C is a sketch comedy television show produced in Utah by BYUtv. The show traces its roots to the BYU sketch comedy troupe Divine Comedy, of which all ten cast members are current or former members. The show aims to produce clean, family-oriented comedy for a national audience, shedding the BYU-oriented humor of Divine Comedy. The show was originally planned to be named Common Room until being changed to its current name, a reference to the studio in the BYU Broadcasting Building where the show is primarily filmed in front of a live audience. The sixth season premiered in September 2015. They have also created, "Leave No Fan Behind" and "Christmas Special Live Event", which are both live YouTube events. This lets fans watch the cast play games and act out skits, as well as ask questions on Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube, for them to answer during the events.
Studio C currently has a YouTube channel with over 500,000 subscribers. Their channel features many skits from the show, along with a few YouTube exclusives. Studio C's most popular video is "Top Soccer Shootout Ever With Scott Sterling", which currently has over 34.7 million views on YouTube. Studio C posts new videos on YouTube every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Rico Puestel
Rico Puestel, also known as Dinamoe, Elco and Central Scrutinizer, is a German record producer, live-act, DJ and labelowner. Born in 1986, he early got in touch with different musical expressions, devices and behaviours - playing the piano, guitar and drums. He started spinning records and dealing with creative processing through various kinds of electronic music at the age of 12. He grew up in Uslar, Lower-Saxony. Since July 2007, he lives in Kiel and studies musicology and philosophy at the University.
In 2005 and 2006, he released his first EPs on the German labels Dark-Noize-Recordings and Minimal Sound Noise that were followed by his musical re-invention as Dinamoe two years later, initiated for developing his individual sound and to focus on mainly performing live.

Rico Puestel was born in 1986 and has been raised in a small rural German town in Lower-Saxony. While attending primary school, he started taking first piano lessons and slipped off his "musical hymen". Rico grew up with different aspects of music through classical music, electronic music, the 60/70's rock music, jazz etc. - he's always been interested in every kind of audible expression, just finding it all through his different emotional moods. Concerning electronic music, he used to grew up with hardcore-techno that was going over to a "90s-techno-allround-interest", starting around records like C.J. Bolland's "Neural Paradox". 9. The five armed species of sea star are the most common, but there are species that have many more arms. In fact, there are some that have up to 40 arms.
8. Sea stars have calcified and bony skin which gives them protection from predators. Different species have different colourings including many species that have striking colours so as to warn off predators.
7. They are strictly saltwater creatures and do not survive in freshwater.
6. Sea stars have the ability to regenerate their limbs and in some cases can regenerate their entire bodies. They can do this as they have most if not all of their vital organs in their arms. However, this does not happen quickly and it will take about a year for a limb to grow back.
5. Some species of sea stars need to have their main body in tact in order to regenerate their arms.
4. However their are some species that need just some of their severed limbs to be intact in order to grow a whole new body.
3. The majority of sea stars have the amazing ability to eat their prey outside of their bodies. They use small suction cupped tubed feet to open up the oysters and clams that they eat and their stomach then emerges from their mouths and their arms prise open the shell just enough and their stomach then enters it and digests it. Then the stomach then returns to the body. So basically they eat inside out, and this allows them to eat larger prey than they would normally be able to fit into their mouths.
2. Sea stars do not have blood in their bodies. Instead, they have a water vascular system where they pump sea water through its sift plate or majoporite into their tube feet. Their tube feet are full of sea water and give strength to them. They then use their tube feet to move and to hold their prey.
1. They have an anae spot and the end of each of their arms which is a very simple eye that looks like a red spot. The eye can sense dark and light but not a lot of detail.
