As wedding photographers and cinematographers, we get to shoot ... A LOT! But something is always missing, something that got us into our profession in the first place ... shooting for ourselves. Our trip to Ladakh this fall was intended to address the same.
The idea was to just stop, stare and admire at the miracles of Nature in the dry desert territory. This also sounded like the perfect womb for making a timelapse or two. But alas ...we got addicted! The trip spanned over 15 days and we came back with pretty amazing sequences. Here we present to you our timeless journeys in Ladakh.
This project also helped us to get deep understanding of timelapses, motion controlled shot, moon phases, dynamic range and so on. So if you have a timelapse project, contact us on our social media below.

We went on a 22 days road ride uncovering some of the beautiful places in India. We were welcomed by some of the toughest roads to drive but yet beautiful making it once in a life time experience. We travelled in August 2015 covering Delhi, Chandigarh, Kalpa, Kaza, Sangla , Leh, Pangong Tso, Hunder, Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, Wagah Border and back to Delhi. the rod trip was about 4000 Kms and every bit of the road threw a new challenge and the whole trip was memorable.

Winter is here. I could feel its cold winds even down south in Chennai. And it is time for me to reminisce about my favourite trip in the mountains. Spending winters in Ladakh.
In winters the (now) familiar landscape of Ladakh takes a whole new look. Rivers and lakes are frozen. Even hot spring geysers are not spared. And when it snows the entire landscape is blanketed with a deep coating of fresh powder snow which takes months to melt away. If you can bear the cold it is a magical place to be.
Here are some time-lapse sequences from my last winter trip to Ladakh in 2015. It was the most exciting trip of my life. But Iam not very happy with the time-lapse footage from the trip. Most of them are either short or end abruptly without sufficient lead out times.
I'am planning visit Ladakh again this winter (of 2017) and hope to come back with more comprehensive footage. Sold a couple of my lenses to buy a new sleeping bag and a compact mirrorless camera for filmmaking. So I'll be able to camp in more extreme places and film myself doing it.
You can expect some interesting short films from this trip or at the very least an awkward VLog of me stumbling my way across Ladakh this winter.

Ladakh
Ladakh ("land of high passes") (Ladakhi: ལ་དྭགས la'dwags; Hindi: लद्दाख़; Urdu: لَدّاخ) is a region in the Indian Administered Jammu and Kashmir that currently extends from the Kuen Lun mountain range to the main Great Himalayas to the south, inhabited by people of Indo-Aryan and Tibetan descent. It is one of the most sparsely populated regions in Jammu and Kashmir and its culture and history are closely related to that of Tibet.
Historically, the region included the Baltistan (Baltiyul) valleys (now mostly in Pakistan), the entire upper Indus Valley, the remote Zanskar, Lahaul and Spiti to the south, much of Ngari including the Rudok region and Guge in the east, Aksai Chin in the northeast (extending to the Kun Lun Mountains), and the Nubra Valley to the north over Khardong La in the Ladakh Range. Contemporary Ladakh borders Tibet to the east, the Lahaul and Spiti regions to the south, the Vale of Kashmir, Jammu and Baltiyul regions to the west, and the southwest corner of Xinjiang across the Karakoram Pass in the far north. Ladakh is renowned for its remote mountain beauty and culture. Aksai Chin is one of the disputed border areas between China and India. It is administered by China as part of Hotan County but is also claimed by India as a part of the Ladakh region of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. In 1962, China and India fought a brief war over Aksai Chin and Arunachal Pradesh, but in 1993 and 1996 the two countries signed agreements to respect the Line of Actual Control.

This project is also available in digital cinema 4K
As wedding photographers and cinematographers, we get to shoot ... A LOT! But something is always missing, something that got us into our profession in the first place ... shooting for ourselves. Our trip to Ladakh this fall was intended to address the same.
The idea was to just stop, stare and admire at the miracles of Nature in the dry desert territory. This also sounded like the perfect womb for making a timelapse or two. But alas ...we got addicted! The trip spanned over 15 days and we came back with pretty amazing sequences. Here we present to you our timeless journeys in Ladakh.
This project also helped us to get deep understanding of timelapses, motion controlled shot, moon phases, dynamic range and so on. So if you have a timelapse project, contact us on our social media below.

We went on a 22 days road ride uncovering some of the beautiful places in India. We were welcomed by some of the toughest roads to drive but yet beautiful making it once in a life time experience. We travelled in August 2015 covering Delhi, Chandigarh, Kalpa, Kaza, Sangla , Leh, Pangong Tso, Hunder, Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, Wagah Border and back to Delhi. the rod trip was about 4000 Kms and every bit of the road threw a new challenge and the whole trip was memorable.

Winter is here. I could feel its cold winds even down south in Chennai. And it is time for me to reminisce about my favourite trip in the mountains. Spending winters in Ladakh.
In winters the (now) familiar landscape of Ladakh takes a whole new look. Rivers and lakes are frozen. Even hot spring geysers are not spared. And when it snows the entire landscape is blanketed with a deep coating of fresh powder snow which takes months to melt away. If you can bear the cold it is a magical place to be.
Here are some time-lapse sequences from my last winter trip to Ladakh in 2015. It was the most exciting trip of my life. But Iam not very happy with the time-lapse footage from the trip. Most of them are either short or end abruptly without sufficient lead out times.
I'am planning visit Ladakh again this winter (of 2017) and hope to come back with more comprehensive footage. Sold a couple of my lenses to buy a new sleeping bag and a compact mirrorless camera for filmmaking. So I'll be able to camp in more extreme places and film myself doing it.
You can expect some interesting short films from this trip or at the very least an awkward VLog of me stumbling my way across Ladakh this winter.

Scenes from a Memory - Leh
Mid 2013, three friends took off on an ill-concieved trip to Ladakh. Evading flash floods, landslides and militant attacks in Srinagar, we finally did what we wanted to and returned home; broke, with burnt skin. This is the first part of the bulk of footage that I recorded while half in Diamox induced stupor (Read: Out of focus shots). The main leg of our journey will be up shortly. Dust, winds, faces, roads and a few days of uncertainty all in 2 minutes. Enjoy! Music used: Claire de Lune- Flight Facilities Camera used: Canon T3i/600D Shot and Edited by: Disha Noyonika Rindani. Mid 2013, three friends took off on an ill-concieved trip to Ladakh. Evading flash floods, landslides and militant attacks in Srinagar, we finally did what we wanted to and returned home; broke, with burnt skin.
This is the first part of the bulk of footage that I recorded while half in Diamox induced stupor (Read: Out of focus shots). The main leg of our journey will be up shortly.
Dust, winds, faces, roads and a few days of uncertainty all in 2 minutes. Enjoy!

After a flight to India (Delhi) and a train ride to the Himalayas, we pick up our motorbikes. Riding one of BBC most dangerous roads, climbing the 2 highest rideable passes in the world(!) and 15 other high passes. Visiting Ladakh with many monastarys, experiencing the real buddhist mountain life.
A road trip including all hotels and a night sleep in a tentcamp
high in the mountains. Dutch/English guide arranging all permits and a following car with experienced mechanics. The following car also provide spare parts, medical assistant and fuell on the section where there are no fuel stations.

working and gettin' money for a living.
but i think you should wait
for a good way to get payed;
don't go to the enemy i'm not kiddin'!
think about it now

to be doin' a job that's making you an asshole.
i can guarantee
that this is going to be
unsatisfying and stressfull....
so....

'cause being a cop is fucked up !!!
if people don't get a job
and demonstrate you beat'em up.
