Owen Andrew Farrell (born 24 September 1991) is an English rugby union player, currently playing for Aviva Premiership side Saracens. His father is Andy Farrell, who played both for England's rugby league and rugby union sides.
His primary position is fly-half, but he often plays at centre.
Farrell was born on 24 September 1991 in Wigan, Greater Manchester. He began playing rugby league in his hometown at the age of eight for Wigan St Patricks. When his father Andy signed for Saracens in 2005, his family moved to Harpenden, where Owen was introduced to rugby union for the first time.
He held the record of youngest ever player to appear in English professional rugby union after playing for Saracens 11 days after his 17th birthday, in a 26–17 home defeat against Llanelli Scarlets in the EDF Energy Cup on 5 October 2008, until this record was broken in November 2009 by Leicester's George Ford, the son of another former Rugby League international (Mike Ford).
In the 2010–11 season, Farrell signed for Bedford Blues on loan. However, he returned to Saracens and was pivotal in the 2010-11 Aviva Premiership Final kicking five penalties and converting James Short's try for a personal haul of 17 points in the 22-18 victory over reigning champions Leicester Tigers.
Chris Robshaw (born 4 June 1986) is an English rugby union Flanker and captain of Harlequins and the current captain of the England national rugby union team. Robshaw's position of choice is in the back-row, specifically flanker.
Robshaw started playing rugby for Warlingham RFC at the age of seven and attended Cumnor House School. He then moved to Millfield Preparatory School and then Millfield where he was first team captain.
Robshaw made his Premiership debut in the London double header at the start of the 2007–08 season. He went on to be included in the England Saxons squad who won the Churchill Cup in the summer of 2008.
In May 2009, Robshaw was named Guinness Premiership player of the year.
Robshaw played for England Schools Under 18 (January) during 2004, before making his First XV debut during the 2005–06 season; scoring two tries in the 42–3 victory over the Pertemps Bees at the Stoop.
He was also part of the England Under 21 squad that competed in the 2006 Six Nations and World Championship.
Jonathan Peter "Jonny" Wilkinson OBE (born 25 May 1979 in Frimley, Surrey) is an English rugby union player and former member of the England national team. Wilkinson rose to acclaim from 2001 to 2003, before and during the 2003 Rugby World Cup and was acknowledged as one of the world’s best rugby union players. He was an integral member of the 2003 Rugby World Cup-winning England squad, scoring the winning drop goal in the last minute of extra time against Australia in the 2003 Rugby World Cup Final. He then came back from several injuries to lead England to the final of the 2007 world cup. He plays his club rugby union for Toulon following twelve seasons in the English Premiership with the Newcastle Falcons. Wilkinson has also toured twice with the British and Irish Lions, in 2001 to Australia and 2005 to New Zealand, scoring 67 Test points in the 6 Lions test matches he has started. On 3 April 2009 at Guildford Cathedral, he was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Surrey for services to the sports industry. He announced his retirement from international rugby union in early December 2011.
Louis Picamoles (born 5 February 1986 in Paris, France) is a rugby union player who plays in France's top division of rugby union, the Top 14. Picamoles's regular position is at Number eight in the Back row.
Until June 2009 he played for Montpellier RC; since then he's to play for Toulouse for which he signed a 4-year agreement.
Picamoles began his club career at Montpellier in 1999 and played for the club for ten years. For the 2009–10 season he was signed by Stade Toulousain.
Picamoles made his international debut for France in 2008 and has since made 10 appearances for the side, scoring 5 points. He was selected as part of the 39-man French squad for the 2009 Six Nations Championship.
Courtney Lawes (born 23 February 1989 in Hackney, England) is a professional rugby player for Northampton Saints, who play in the Aviva Premiership. Lawes is a versatile player, equally at home in the second and back rows. Indeed, he is the very epitome of the modern rugby forward, more akin to a basketball player thanks to an athletic 6 ft 7in, 115 kg frame. Lawes is also a true local Northampton boy, raised within a stone's throw from Franklin's Gardens. Lawes is another member of the Saints Academy off the famed production line of Northampton Old Scouts, the same club that produced his former team mate Rob Milligan as well as Ben Cohen and Steve Thompson amongst others. Lawes has won England representative honours for the U18 and U20 sides and won his first senior cap against Australia in November 2009.
He toured Australia with England Under 18s in 2007 and made his Saints first team debut against Esher in National One in the 2007–08 season. He missed out on the 2008 U20s Six Nations through injury but featured in the IRB Junior World Championship that year.
