GTI may refer to:
The Volkswagen Golf is a small family car produced by the German manufacturer Volkswagen since 1974, marketed worldwide across seven generations, in various body configurations and under various nameplates – as the Volkswagen Rabbit in the United States and Canada (Mk1 and Mk5), and as the Volkswagen Caribe in Mexico (Mk1).
The original Golf Mk1 was a front-wheel drive, front-engined replacement for the air-cooled, rear-engined, rear-wheel drive Volkswagen Beetle. Historically, the Golf is Volkswagen's best-selling model and the world's second best-selling model, with more than 29 million built by 2012.
Most production of the Golf was initially in the 3-door hatchback style. Other variants include a 5-door hatchback, station wagon (Variant, from 1993), convertible (Cabriolet and Cabrio, 1979–2002, 2011–present), and a Golf-derived notchback sedan, variously called Volkswagen Jetta, Volkswagen Vento (from 1992) or Volkswagen Bora (from 1999). The cars have filled many market segments, from basic personal cars, to high-performance hot hatches.
The Volkswagen Up (stylized as Volkswagen up!) is a city car, part of the Volkswagen Group New Small Family (NSF) series of models, unveiled at the 2011 International Motor Show Germany (IAA). Production of the up! started in December 2011 at the Volkswagen Bratislava Plant in Bratislava, Slovakia.
The production up! follows a series of concept cars, starting in 2007 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. All up! concepts are designed by Volkswagen Group Chief Designer Walter de'Silva, and Head Designer of the Volkswagen Passenger Cars marque, Klaus Bischoff. Shown at the Frankfurt launch were several further up! concept cars, including a 98 hp (73 kW) GT version, a natural gas-powered Eco-up! (with CO2 emissions of 79 g/km) and a four-door Cross model.
The original up! concept car used a rear-engine, rear-wheel drive layout, however the 2011 production model has a front-engine, front-wheel drive layout, using the NSF platform, with a 3-cylinder 1.0 litre petrol engine. A battery electric version, called e-up!, was launched in autumn 2013.

It's about time we got a little German on the channel. We've been infatuated with Japanese cars for a while, but some German cars deserve the same obsession. The Mk7 GTI is the prime example of a car for enthusiasts. Volkswagen made the Golf "for the people", resulting in a basic starting point for modifications to go many directions. The EA888 engine paired with the IS20 turbo in the Mk7 GTI is a great platform to build on, and our buddy Philo did just that. (For the record, Philo told us after all was said and done, his cross-country roadtrip wound up being 10,000 miles.) http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?6984506-What-Happened-To-The-Dual-Injected-EA888 - Info on valve-lift and general knowledge on the EA888 http://www.golfmkv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=124914 mk5 dyno number...
