Drift Allstars

Drift Allstars is a live action motorsports brand dedicated to car drifting. It is being developed on multiple levels and is growing rapidly.

Drift Allstars Championship – is a professional drifting series that on average 50 drivers and teams, from at least 16 nations compete in a 10 stop Grand Prix series driving powerful and modified saloon cars. It is backed and driven by Extreme and Alistair Gosling and his professional management team.

The 2014 Championship kicked off at the Olympic Park, London in May and finished in Athens, Greece in September. Video clip from London

For 2015 and beyond the new management team are working with new promoters around the world to bring the Drift Allstars brand to arenas, tracks, stadiums and city centers and have added music to the line-up with both bands and DJs being part of the offer.

Media Coverage

Based on the public interest social media is being used extensively to grow the brand and championship. The Facebook fan base is 1.44 million liking the brand, up from 171,000 in 2014.

Honda Beat

The Honda Beat is a rear wheel drive, mid-engined two-seat roadster kei car produced from May 1991 to February 1996. The Beat was the last car to be approved by Soichiro Honda before he died in 1991. The total number of cars produced was around 33,600. Most of the production (around two-thirds) occurred in the first year, and then production and sales fell drastically. The design of the car originated from Pininfarina, who then sold the design plan to Honda. The Beat was one of many cars designed to take advantage of Japan's tax-efficient kei car class.

There were two mainstream models of the Beat (the PP1–100 and the PP1–110) and a couple of limited edition versions. Variations on the first model were just cosmetic updates. Only the second model had any real mechanical differences. All cars were offered with the option of a driver's side airbag. The car was sold exclusively in Japan at Honda Primo dealership sales channels.

In typical Honda fashion, the Beat's engine did not utilize a turbocharger or supercharger. The 656 cc (40.0 cu in) engine was modified with the MTREC (Multi Throttle Responsive Engine Control) system, with individual throttle bodies for each of the three cylinders, to produce 64 PS (63 bhp) at 8100 rpm with an electronically limited top speed of 135 km/h (84 mph). Only a manual transmission was available. The MTREC design would filter down to the 1993 Honda Today kei car.

Liberty Walk

"Liberty Walk" is a song by American recording artist Miley Cyrus, from her third studio album Can't Be Tamed (2010). It was written by Cyrus, Antonina Armato, Tim James, Nicholas J. Scapa, John Read Fasse and Michael McGinnis, and produced by Armato, James and Paul Palmer under their stage-name Rock Mafia. Cyrus explained that the theme of female empowerment was a lyrical inspiration for the song. Musically, "Liberty Walk" is an uptempo dance-pop song which also contains rapped verses. Critical reception of the song was generally mixed, however, the majority of reviewers criticized the rapped verses and described the overall song as "dull". Despite not being released as a single, "Liberty Walk" peaked at number three on the U.S. Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart and number 79 on the Canadian Hot 100 due to strong digital downloads.

Background

"Liberty Walk" was written by Cyrus, Nicholas J. Scapa, John Read Fasse, Michael McGinnis, Antonina Armato and Tim James. It was produced by the latter three under their stage name Rock Mafia. The song serves as the opening track of Can't Be Tamed (2010). In an interview with Sway Calloway for MTV News, Cyrus explained the lyrical inspiration of the song which is about female empowerment, saying: "It's just about freeing yourself from anything you think is holding you back. And I think that's really important, especially for girls, because so many people are told, 'No, you can't do something,' or, 'You need to be this because Mom and Dad say that, teachers say this.'" Upon the making of the song, Cyrus stated in the same interview that she tried to combine a serious topic with a lighter sound, explaining: "I wrote it for women that feel like they're stuck in abusive relationships, but it's a dance song". She elaborated: "So you think that must be kind of a sad ballad, but it's a party song. ... It's about breaking free."

Honda Civic

The Honda Civic is a line of compact cars manufactured by Honda. Originally a subcompact, the Civic has gone through several generational changes, becoming both larger and more upmarket. It currently falls between the Honda Fit and Honda Accord.

The first Civic was introduced in July 1972 as a two-door model, followed by a three-door hatchback that September. With an 1169 cc transverse engine and front-wheel drive like the British Mini, the car provided good interior space despite overall small dimensions. Initially gaining a reputation for being fuel-efficient, reliable, and environmentally friendly, later iterations have become known for performance and sportiness, especially the Civic Type R, Civic VTi, Civic GTi and Civic SiR/Si.

The Civic has been repeatedly rebadged for international markets, and served as the basis for the Honda CR-X, the Honda CR-X del Sol, the Honda Concerto, the first generation Honda Prelude, the Honda Civic Shuttle (later to become the Honda Orthia), and the Honda CR-V.
