KLR or klr may refer to:
A dual-sport motorcycle is a type of street-legal motorcycle that is designed for both on and off-road use. The terms all-road and dual-purpose are also used for this class of motorcycles. Dual-sports are equipped with street-legal equipment such as lights, speedometer, mirrors, horn, license plate mounting, and muffler and can, therefore, be registered and licensed.
The concept of a versatile motorcycle equally at home on dirt and pavement is as old as motorcycling itself. Most roads were still unpaved when motorized bicycles first appeared around 1900. In a sense, all motorcycles at that time were dual-sports, intended to be used on dirt as well as pavement. Advertisements well into the 1920s depict motorcycles on dirt roads, raising clouds of dust. By 1940, most roads in developed countries were paved and motorcycles had become heavier and more oriented to the street. In the 1950s and 1960s British manufacturers such as Triumph and BSA offered versions of their relatively light street motorcycles with high exhaust pipes, and called them scramblers.
The Kawasaki KLR650 is a dual-sport motorcycle intended for use on both paved and unpaved roads. It has been a long-standing model in Kawasaki's lineup, having been introduced in 1987 and remaining almost unchanged through the 2007 model. The 2008 model was the first significant redesign of the KLR650 since its inception. It has a 650 cc four-stroke, DOHC, dual-counterbalanced, single-cylinder, water-cooled engine.
The KLR is widely used as an inexpensive adventure/touring bike. The addition of luggage and personalized modifications (GPS, heated handgrips, larger windscreens) make it more functional on long trips. Bikes have been used for long distance and intercontinental trips, as well as full global circumnavigation rides e.g., by Dr. Gregory Frazier in 2001 and 2002.
Battle Born is the fourth studio album by American rock band The Killers, released on September 17, 2012 through Vertigo Records in the UK and the following day on Island Records in the US. The phrase "Battle Born" appears on the state flag of Nevada and is the name of the recording studio owned by the band, where the majority of the album was recorded.
Recorded following an extended hiatus, the band worked with five producers during the recording of the album: Steve Lillywhite, Damian Taylor, Brendan O'Brien, Stuart Price, and Daniel Lanois.
Following the completion of the band's Day & Age World Tour in January 2010, the Killers announced that the band would be entering an extended hiatus. During this time, frontman Brandon Flowers and bassist Mark Stoermer released solo albums, Flamingo (2010) and Another Life (2011), with drummer Ronnie Vannucci releasing a studio album with his side-project, Big Talk, and recording with Mt. Desolation. Regarding the band's hiatus, Flowers noted, "Dave needed to see his kid and rest up. That was just how it worked. And so we ended up going off and doing solo things, and spending our time that way, and that was good, too. It was a good experience. It definitely taught us different ways of thinking about music."

I think the Kawasaki KLR 650 is a pretty good adventure motorcycle for beginners, and said so in my last video (https://youtu.be/zYaoxATJ4z8). However I got some messages from beginners who let me know they thought it was an AWFUL bike for beginners. Huh??? I explain why the KLR650 is a great motorcycle for beginners, but also address their valid claims that the KLR was a tough bike to learn on, especially for smaller riders. A HUUUUGE thanks to Jesse (GeoMoto Adventures) and Aaron for letting me use some of their excellent clips in this video! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwt4Os7DvWIJ0L0SJInbCVQ Love Adventure?
