Tasmania remained the state with the lowest median income at $573 per week.
Canberra has the highest median weekly household income in Australia.
O'Malley topped the list, with weekly median household income of $3513.
Forrest recorded median income of $3145, followed by Forde at $2944, Red Hill at $2842 and Fadden at $2757.
Other suburbs in the top 10 included Weetangera at $2699, Chapman at $2697, Pialligo at $2687, Nicholls at $2684 and Macarthur at $2680.
Symonston recorded the lowest weekly median income in Canberra at $796 in 2016, below Oaks Estate at $860, Holt at $1427, Charnwood at $1486 and Lyons at $1488.
Holt was the closest ACT suburb to the national median.
Other suburbs at the lower end in the ACT included Reid at $1503, Page at $1514, Belconnen at $1587, Scullin at $1632 and Greenway at $1686.
Gungahlin, the second fasting growing location in Australia, had weekly median household income of $2066.
Canberra City residents have weekly median income of $2222.
Personal median weekly incomes for people in the ACT above 15 years-of-age were $988, up from $917 in 2011 and above the national level of $662.
