A pitchfork is an agricultural tool with a long handle and long, thick, widely separated pointed tines used to lift and pitch or throw loose material, such as hay, straw or leaves. True pitchforks typically have only two or three tines, while manure forks have four or more tines. However, some forks with more than three tines are also used for handling loose material such as hay or silage. Other types of fork even up to ten tines with different lengths and spacing depending on purpose. They are usually made of steel with a long wooden handle, but may also be made from wood, wrought iron, bamboo, alloy, etc. In some parts of England a pitchfork is known as a prong and, in parts of Ireland, a sprong refers to a 4-pronged pitchfork. The pitchfork is similar to the shorter and sturdier garden fork.
Pitchforks and scythes have frequently been used as weapons by those who couldn't afford or didn't have access to more expensive weapons such as swords, or, later, guns. As a result, pitchforks and scythes are stereotypically carried by angry mobs or gangs of enraged peasants.
Horror is a film genre seeking to elicit a negative emotional reaction from viewers by playing on the audience's primal fears. Inspired by literature from authors like Edgar Allan Poe, Bram Stoker, and Mary Shelley, horror films have existed for more than a century. The macabre and the supernatural are frequent themes, and may overlap with the fantasy, supernatural fiction and thriller genres.
Horror films often deal with viewers' nightmares, fears, revulsions and terror of the unknown. Plots within the horror genre often involve the intrusion of an evil force, event, or personage into the everyday world. Prevalent elements include ghosts, extraterrestrials, vampires, werewolves, demons, gore, torture, vicious animals, evil witches, monsters, zombies, cannibals, psychopaths, and serial killers. Movies about the supernatural are not necessarily horrific.
The first depictions of supernatural events appear in several of the silent shorts created by the film pioneer Georges Méliès in the late 1890s, the best known being Le Manoir du Diable, which is sometimes credited as being the first horror film. Another of his horror projects was 1898's La Caverne maudite (a.k.a. The Cave of the Unholy One, literally "the accursed cave").Japan made early forays into the horror genre with Bake Jizo and Shinin no Sosei, both made in 1898. The era featured a slew of literary adaptations, with the works of Poe and Dante, among others. In 1910, Edison Studios produced the first film version of Frankenstein, following the 1908 film adaptation of the novel Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The macabre nature of the source materials used made the films synonymous with the horror film genre.

Appetite for Destruction is the debut studio album by American hard rock band Guns N' Roses. It was released on July 21, 1987, by Geffen Records to massive commercial success. It topped the Billboard 200 and became the best-selling debut album as well as the 11th best-selling album in the United States. With about 30 million copies sold worldwide, it is also one of the best-selling records ever. Although critics were ambivalent toward the album when it was first released, Appetite for Destruction has since received retrospective acclaim and been viewed as one of the greatest albums of all time.
Axl Rose stated that many of the songs on the album were written while the band was performing on the Los Angeles club circuit, and a number of songs that would be featured on later Guns N' Roses albums were considered for Appetite for Destruction, such as "Back Off Bitch", "You Could Be Mine", "November Rain" and "Don't Cry". It is said that the reason for not putting "November Rain" on it was because they had already agreed to put "Sweet Child 'O Mine" on it and thus already had a ballad on the album (however, both Use Your Illusion albums would contain more than one ballad).
Ege Bamyası is the fourth studio album by the German experimental rock band Can which was originally released as an LP in 1972 by United Artists. The album contains the single "Spoon", which charted in the Top 10 in Germany, largely because of its use as the theme of a German TV thriller mini-series called "Das Messer" (The Knife). The success of the single allowed Can to move to a better studio in which they recorded Ege Bamyası. Ege Bamyası was remastered as a hybrid SACD in 2004 which includes a booklet with commentary on the album by former Melody Maker journalist David Stubbs, as well as previously unreleased photos of the band.
The cover artwork, in addition to being a pun on the band's name (as it depicts a can labeled "CAN"), reflects several of the band members' continued interest in traditional music; "Ege Bamyası" means "Aegean Okra" in Turkish. The album has received much critical acclaim since its release and has been cited as an influence by various artists. Several artists have played cover versions of songs from Ege Bamyası. Remix versions of several tracks by various artists are included on the album Sacrilege.

In the 1980s, a Spandex-clad army of glam metal bands invaded the hard rock mainstream. Guns N’ Roses came out of that same hedonistic scene, but their refreshingly raw debut album, 1987’s Appetite for Destruction, rendered hair metal immediately obsolete. Although Kurt Cobain notoriously hated them, it was GNR’s gritty authenticity that would prime MTV-addicted ‘90s kids for the grunge invasion. ------ SUBSCRIBE to Pitchfork.tv: http://bit.ly/yK2Fbp ------ FOLLOW Pitchfork.tv on Twitter: http://bit.ly/KJ2PhP ------ For more videos from Pitchfork TV: http://bit.ly/M1lvs8 Like Pitchfork on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pitchfork Check out Pitchfork on Tumblr: http://pitchfork.tumblr.com/ Guns N' Roses Appetite for Destruction in 4 Minutes

Germany's Can are known for concocting an unlikely blend of avant-garde and the primal. Their 1972 album Ege Bamyasi struck a balance between sublimity and chaos that pushed the boundaries of what rock music and a rock band could be. Stoke the flames, little devil
It's gonna be a long night
Blood shot insomniac
Keep your eyes on the prize
And take all of your secrets to the grave
You never knew just what hit you
I said a hammer head
An empty friend
A demonic chant
A single fan
You never knew just what hit you
Compassion doesn't live here anymore
Only a vacancy of who I used to be
Take all your secrets to the grave
Judas hangin' tight rope and swingin'
Madness sets in and man is served with wine
Wake up wake up, it's judgement day
And the cannibals have come to dine
Terrible visions and I'm deadly pale
A deceiver and destroyer of hearts
Nightmare in pieces, you look familiar
Splashed up all over the walls
Cannibalize the delicacy
Now you are a part of me
I'll eat you up, you're in my recipe
And now a part of me
