Sharon Kane is a detective who specializes in undercover investigations with steamy sexual undercurrents. This time she's been sent to work in a brothel and to try to sort out a pair of mysteries. First, she's investigating the mysterious disappearance of fellow detective Herschel Savage. DRACULA SUCKS changes around quite a few of the story's elements. For starters, it's all been compressed Roger Corman style into a single location: an old dark castle somewhere in Northern California. The place, it seems, is a sanitarium housing, among others, the nutty Renfield. Dracula bites his female victims on their breasts, and a male victim gets a bite on his penis (and at one point even goes down on the Count!). Everyone in this place is horny and in search of a fuckmate (add in a giant worm and you'd have Ken Russell's cult classic LAIR OF THE WHITE WORM, which was incidentally also based on a novel by Stoker). It ends with the Count deflowering the virginal Mina in the castle's basement, interrupted by Van Helsing, who opens and outer door and floods the area with daylight.

Annette Haven
Annette Haven (born December 1, 1954) is an American former pornographic actress popular during the 1970s and 1980s.
Biography
Haven was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and raised in a conservative Mormon family. Haven later claimed that part of her reason for entering porn was that she wanted to show that "sex is not sinful" and could be pleasurable. When she was 17 years old, she married her boyfriend, but they were divorced two years later. Following the dissolution of her marriage, Haven moved to San Francisco, where she began dancing in erotic shows, and she eventually worked as a stripper. While working in one of the strip clubs, she met porn star Bonnie Holiday and moved in with her and her boyfriend.
She was introduced to the sex industry through a role in a film called Lady Freaks in 1973, starring Holiday. Annette Haven went on to work in nearly 100 porn movies, including Desires Within Young Girls (1977), Obsessed (1977), A Coming of Angels (1977), Barbara Broadcast (1977), Dracula Sucks (aka Lust At First Bite) (1978) and The Grafenberg Spot (1985). Haven had a mainstream acting role in Blake Edwards' 10. She was considered to play the lead female role in Body Double, which eventually went to Melanie Griffith, who according to director Brian De Palma, got the role because she gave a better dramatic screen test than Haven. Afterwards she became one of the director's consultants for the film and as a coach for Griffith. Before filming Body Double, De Palma commented, "I'm already thinking of casting. I don't know if there's any good young porno stars out here, but the older ones - Annette Haven, Seka - some of them can really act. And Annette Haven has a terrific body."

Sharon Kane is a detective who specializes in undercover investigations with steamy sexual undercurrents. This time she's been sent to work in a brothel and to try to sort out a pair of mysteries. First, she's investigating the mysterious disappearance of fellow detective Herschel Savage. Then she's supposed to find out why Annette Haven is running the brothel, and why she's doing it under an assumed name -- there's some suspicion she may have bumped off her husband to get control. Sharon is the perfect copper for the mission. She's tough as nails and has a special talent for her work -- especially when it involves spending the day having sex with swarthy studs while she gathers clues. Eventually Sharon gets to the bottom of things, even as plenty of folks get to her bottom. The carnal climax finds Sharon in the clinch with Annette, and the two legends of lust pull out all the stops in one of the steamiest, most arousing lesbian encounters in hardcore history. Everyone in this place is horny and in search of a fuckmate (add in a giant worm and you'd have Ken Russell's cult classic LAIR OF THE WHITE WORM, which was incidentally also based on a novel by Stoker). It ends with the Count deflowering the virginal Mina in the castle's basement, interrupted by Van Helsing, who opens and outer door and floods the area with daylight.

It was date night for Annette Bening and Warren Beatty as the couple walked the red carpet for her new movie, "20th Century Women" Saturday at the New York Film Festival.
Directed by Mike Mills, it tells the story of three women exploring love and sexual freedom in late 1970s Santa Barbara. Like his previous film, "Beginners," writer-director Mills bases it partially on his own family.
Bening felt a connection to both the era and her director.
"I'm 58, so at the time that the movie was set, I was 19, and I was in San Diego. So when I read the script, the world was very familiar to me. I thought the script was beautiful and had so much potential. I know we had a lot of work to do to bring it to life, but Mike is a very beautiful man, and a very thoughtful person."
Mills also wrote the screenplay, and an integral part of the movie centers around then-president Jimmy Carter's Crisis of Confidence speech. That's the 1979 speech where he addressed the growing number of Americans dissatisfied with the government.
Bening loves how Mills weaved that into the story.
"I think it's really interesting how Mike is sort of resurrecting Jimmy Carter in a way and what he had to sayand what he had to offer as a president and how poignant that speech was. At first it was very popular, then it became kind of unpopular after that," Bening said.
Mills feels the Carter speech was important for setting the tone of the story, while still being relevant today.
"You watch Jimmy Carters' whole Malaise or Crisis in Confidence speech it's crazy to watch now because it's so relevant to what's happening right now with the election and the world right now. I don't know how much we've grown or changed, but it's just sort of magical how much that speech could be said right now," Mills said.
Eighteen-year old Fanning was born decades after the speech and when the story takes place, but considers herself an old enough soul to appreciate the time.
"I feel like I am very nostalgic in a weird way for times I never even lived in. because when I was growing up I would go vintage shopping, or going through thrift items and things like that, and I always wanted my parents to tell me about the time they grew up, you know 70s, 80s always interested me, so getting to be an actress you can play those different periods, and so I loved it," Fanning said.
On the subject of politics and presidential candidates*** Bening was asked her thoughts on the Vote Your Future PSA with Robert De Niro. The actor expressed his feelings for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, and said he would "like to punch him in the face."
"I haven't seen it. I read about it. Well, I think that Bob sort of speaks for a lot people. But, yeah, I think that we want a president that represents us with dignity and class and intelligence. I'm pretty embarrassed as an American by a lot of what Trump says and does. So I think that Bob represents a lot of people's frustrations about such a prominent nominee saying and doing what he does," Bening said.
De Niro was supposed to make a non-partisan video urging people to vote, but instead slammed Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. He called Trump "blatantly stupid" and an "embarrassment to this country."
"20th Century Women" opens in limited release on December 25, before going wide in January.

For starters, it's all been compressed Roger Corman style into a single location: an old dark castle somewhere in Northern California. The place, it seems, is a sanitarium housing, among others, the nutty Renfield. Dracula bites his female victims on their breasts, and a male victim gets a bite on his penis (and at one point even goes down on the Count!). Everyone in this place is horny and in search of a fuckmate (add in a giant worm and you'd have Ken Russell's cult classic LAIR OF THE WHITE WORM, which was incidentally also based on a novel by Stoker). Annette Haven is considered a legend in the porn business and ironically, something of a feminist.
She worked when adult films were still shot on film and not videotape. Before entering adult films
she had worked in a variety of fields: nurse's aide, exotic dancer, massage parlor employee in the
San Francisco area. She worked on her first adult film in the mid-1970s. Her regal (and somewhat aloof)
bearing got her often cast as an angelic-looking virgin or femme fatale. Not only was she considered one
of the best looking women in the industry, she could act, too, as evidenced by her adult film best actress
award from A Coming of Angels (1977). Her feminist streak seems strange considering the business she was in,
but she refused to do scenes that included violence or "money shots." She even turned down a part in
the "legit" movie Aullidos (1981) because of its excessive violence. She did, however, do a part in
Doble cuerpo (1984), proving she could go mainstream. She starred in many adult classics like Barbara
Broadcast (1977), 'V': The Hot One (1978) and Mil y una noches eróticas de Sheherezade (1982).
She retired from adult films, her legendary reputation intact, in the late 1980s and lives in Mill Valley,
CA with her husband.

DRACULA SUCKS changes around quite a few of the story's elements. For starters, it's all been compressed Roger Corman style into a single location: an old dark castle somewhere in Northern California. The place, it seems, is a sanitarium housing, among others, the nutty Renfield. Dracula bites his female victims on their breasts, and a male victim gets a bite on his penis (and at one point even goes down on the Count!). Everyone in this place is horny and in search of a fuckmate (add in a giant worm and you'd have Ken Russell's cult classic LAIR OF THE WHITE WORM, which was incidentally also based on a novel by Stoker). It ends with the Count deflowering the virginal Mina in the castle's basement, interrupted by Van Helsing, who opens and outer door and floods the area with daylight.
