DISCLAIMER: In no way do I imply that I'm a perfect driver, but just another motorist out on the roads. These are just clips captured from my dashcam from daily driving that I decided to share. Although I strive to provide as much context as possible through video and captions, some details may have been missed due to various reasons. This was my last attempt of the year to catch a Chinny on the fly in the stretches of creek that are now closed until next April as this was filmed on closing day.

April 29, 2015. First day out of the season with my bud Red. We scared a bird off this spot when we got here. After setting up it took another 30 minutes with some loud box calls to finally hear a gobble in the distance and then this Tom came in silent mode. I couldn't get the camera in focus using auto focus. I still need to practice using manual focus on the touch screen.

Southern Ontario
Southern Ontario is a primary region of the province of Ontario, Canada, the other primary region being Northern Ontario. It is the most densely populated and southernmost region in Canada. Situated south of Algonquin Park, it covers between 14 to 15% of the province, depending on the inclusion of the Parry Sound and Muskoka districts. The region is home to one-third of Canada's population.
Southern Ontario differs greatly from Northern Ontario, in that it has a larger population, different climate, and different culture than its northern counterpart. It is broken into smaller subregions, including Central Ontario, Eastern Ontario, Southwestern Ontario, and the Golden Horseshoe.
Identity
Southern Ontario can be distinguished from Northern Ontario because it is far more densely populated and contains the majority of the province's cities, major roads, and institutions. Northern Ontario, in contrast, contains more natural resources and remote wilderness. Although it has no saltwater coastline, the region has an abundance of freshwater coastlines on three Great Lakes (Huron, Erie and Ontario), as well as smaller lakes such as Lake Simcoe and Lake St. Clair. It is a major vineyard region and producer of Canadian wines.

Ontario (
i/ɒnˈtɛərioʊ/) is one of the ten provinces of Canada, located in east-central Canada. It is Canada's most populous province by a large margin, accounting for nearly 40 percent of all Canadians, and is the second largest province in total area. Ontario is fourth largest in total area when the territories of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut are included. It is home to the nation's capital city, Ottawa, and the nation's most populous city, Toronto.
Ontario is bordered by the province of Manitoba to the west, Hudson Bay and James Bay to the north, and Quebec to the east, and to the south by the US states of (from west to east) Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York. All of Ontario's 2,700 km (1,678 mi) border with the United States follows inland waterways: from the west at Lake of the Woods, eastward along the major rivers and lakes of the Great Lakes/Saint Lawrence River drainage system. After setting up it took another 30 minutes with some loud box calls to finally hear a gobble in the distance and then this Tom came in silent mode. I couldn't get the camera in focus using auto focus. I still need to practice using manual focus on the touch screen.

The city's landmark CN Tower stands in stark contrast to the another local icon: The castle-like Casa Loma. Some other famous architectural feats are the Royal Ontario Museum and the Gehry-designed Art Gallery of Ontario.
Kensington Markets is an art-loving, 70s-inspired neighborhood full of shops. Upscale fashion stores surround Dundas Square, the downtown end of Yonge Street. During colder months, the city's huge underground mall, the PATH, offers hours of indoor fun. The Rogers Centre and nearby Hockey Hall of Fame are a must-see for sports fans.
Kids will love Ontario Science Centre, the chipmunks in the Edward Gardens, the Toronto Zoo and Canada's Wonderland.

Niagara Falls is the collective name for three waterfalls that straddle the international border between Canada and the United States; more specifically, between the province of Ontario and the state of New York. They form the southern end of the Niagara Gorge.
From largest to smallest, the three waterfalls are the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. The Horseshoe Falls lie on the Canadian side and the American Falls on the American side, separated by Goat Island. The smaller Bridal Veil Falls are also located on the American side, separated from the other waterfalls by Luna Island. The international boundary line was originally drawn through Horseshoe Falls in 1819, but the boundary has long been in dispute due to natural erosion and construction.
Located on the Niagara River, which drains Lake Erie into Lake Ontario, the combined falls form the highest flow rate of any waterfall in the world, with a vertical drop of more than 165 feet (50 m). Horseshoe Falls is the most powerful waterfall in North America, as measured by vertical height and also by flow rate. Niagara Falls is the collective name for three waterfalls that straddle the international border between Canada and the United States; more specifically, between the province of Ontario and the state of New York. They form the southern end of the Niagara Gorge.
From largest to smallest, the three waterfalls are the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. The Horseshoe Falls lie on the Canadian side and the American Falls on the American side, separated by Goat Island. The smaller Bridal Veil Falls are also located on the American side, separated from the other waterfalls by Luna Island. The international boundary line was originally drawn through Horseshoe Falls in 1819, but the boundary has long been in dispute due to natural erosion and construction.
Located on the Niagara River, which drains Lake Erie into Lake Ontario, the combined falls form the highest flow rate of any waterfall in the world, with a vertical drop of more than 165 feet (50 m). Horseshoe Falls is the most powerful waterfall in North America, as measured by vertical height and also by flow rate. Spring Turkey Hunting in Southern Ontario 2015
April 29, 2015. First day out of the season with my bud Red. We scared a bird off this spot when we got here. After setting up it took another 30 minutes with some loud box calls to finally hear a gobble in the distance and then this Tom came in silent mode. I couldn't get the camera in focus using auto focus. I still need to practice using manual focus on the touch screen.
