In Control, Volume 1 is an album by hip hop producer Marley Marl of the Juice Crew, released September 1, 1988 on Cold Chillin' Records. The album compiles ten studio recordings by Juice Crew members and artists affiliated with Marley Marl. It showcased his style of hip hop production and sampling at a time when he became one of the first super-producers in hip hop music. The album is broken down track-by-track by Marley Marl in Brian Coleman's book Check the Technique.

Marlon Williams (born September 30, 1962), better known as Marley Marl, is an American DJ and record producer, who is considered one of the most important and influential hip-hop producers in the history of hip hop.
In Hip-Hop's Golden Age, Marley Marl was the house producer of the Juice Crew, known for The Bridge Wars, a feud with Boogie Down Productions seen as one of the earliest and most influential hip hop beefs. The Juice Crew included Big Daddy Kane, Biz Markie, Roxanne Shanté, Kool G Rap & DJ Polo, Craig G, MC Shan and Masta Ace, and produced many songs for outside artists including King Tee, LL Cool J, and Lords of the Underground. He was also an important figure in the careers of Eric B. & Rakim, producing their first hits "My Melody" and "Eric B Is President".
Marl was the first to sample a breakbeat and reprogram it, which he did with The Honey Drippers' "Impeach the President" breakbeat on the MC Shan single "The Bridge" from 1985. This was an extremely important feat as it completely changed the way hip hop beats were made, as well as other sample based genres. In his early records, Marl mixed James Brown samples and synthetic beats in a fashion previously unheard of, for the most part.
Marl started his career working for Tuff City Records. He debuted as an electro producer and began with hip-hop hits like electronic based "The God-Father" by Spoonie Gee making his debut with his unique sampling techniques. He was also affiliated with Andre Harrell's Uptown Records as he was featured on the label posse cut "Uptown is Kickin' it" as well as producing for Uptown Artist and friend Heavy-D and the Boyz The next year, Marl also recorded a diss response to "Roxanne Roxanne" by UTFO, with female emcee Roxanne Shanté. In 1985 released his first track, "DJ's Cuttin" under the pseudonym "NYC Cutter". Soon however, Marl's records became more sample heavy, as can be seen by comparing the MC Shan LPs Down By Law (1987) and Born to be Wild (1988); the rhythms less electronic, with drum samples and patterns becoming more prominent.

This tutorial will teach you all the basics you need to learn how to start playing local sounds in Flash.

Introduction to Sound Related Classes
Sounds in ActionScript 3.0 are manipulated through the collaborative work of several classes together. This is a much more complex structure than previous versions of ActionScript, but it is argued that this format will provide you with greater control and the ability to micro manage sounds. Here are the relevant classes related to sounds:
Sound Class - This is the main class in which a sound will actually reside. This class is the starting point of any sound related program and is used to start playing a sound.
SoundChannel Class - A sound can be played through a sound channel which provides additional controls over a sound object, the most basic of these additional controls is the ability to stop the playback of a sound.
SoundTransform Class - This class is responsible for altering sound volume and sound panning (manipulating the balance between the left and right speakers).
SoundMixer Class - This class has global control over all sounds played in the Flash player. It's most basic function is to stop all playing sounds regardless of source.

Masta Ace
Duval Clear (born December 4, 1966), known better by his stage name Masta Ace, is an American rapper and record producer from Brownsville, Brooklyn. He appeared on the classic 1988 Juice Crew posse cut "The Symphony". He is noted for his high level of rapping skill and for influencing other MCs, including Eminem.
Biography
1988-1994
Clear graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1988, after meeting Marley Marl in 1987 during his summer break. Ace made his recording debut as on the Hip Hop posse-cut "The Symphony", along with fellow Juice Crew members Craig G, Kool G Rap and Big Daddy Kane, released on Marley Marl's In Control album. The album also featured two additional Ace tracks, "Keep Your Eyes on the Prize" and "Simon Says". In 1989, he released his first solo single, "Together" b/w "Letter to the Better". His debut album, Take a Look Around, was released through Marl's Cold Chillin' label in 1990, featuring production from Marl and DJ Mister Cee. The album featured two minor hit singles in "Music Man" and "Me & The Biz", the latter being a track with Ace's impersonation of Biz Markie, rather than a duet as previously thought the song would be.

Juice Crew
The Juice Crew was a hip hop collective of largely Queensbridge-based artists in the mid- to late-1980s. Founded by producer Marley Marl and radio DJ Mr. Magic and housed by Tyrone William's Cold Chillin' Records, the Juice Crew would introduce New School artists Big Daddy Kane, Biz Markie, Roxanne Shanté and Kool G Rap. The crew produced many answer records and "beefs" - primarily with rival radio jock Kool DJ Red Alert and the South Bronx's Boogie Down Productions - as well as the "posse cut", The Symphony (song).
History
Marley Marl started his career as Mr. Magic's sidekick and DJ on the influential radio show Rapp Attack, the first exclusively-hip hop music program to be aired on a major radio station, New York's WBLS-FM; the show would be instrumental in spring-boarding the careers of the group's various artists. The crew derived its name from Mr. Magic's alias, "Sir Juice". Magic actually had a previous ("original") Juice Crew consisting of himself, record executive Sal Abbatiello, and artists Sweet Gee, DJ June Bug, and Kurtis Blow.

Marlon Williams (born September 30, 1962), better known as Marley Marl, is an American DJ and record producer, who is considered one of the most important and influential hip-hop producers in the history of hip hop.
In Hip-Hop's Golden Age, Marley Marl was the house producer of the Juice Crew, known for The Bridge Wars, a feud with Boogie Down Productions seen as one of the earliest and most influential hip hop beefs. The Juice Crew included Big Daddy Kane, Biz Markie, Roxanne Shanté, Kool G Rap & DJ Polo, Craig G, MC Shan and Masta Ace, and produced many songs for outside artists including King Tee, LL Cool J, and Lords of the Underground. He was also an important figure in the careers of Eric B. & Rakim, producing their first hits "My Melody" and "Eric B Is President".
Marl was the first to sample a breakbeat and reprogram it, which he did with The Honey Drippers' "Impeach the President" breakbeat on the MC Shan single "The Bridge" from 1985. This was an extremely important feat as it completely changed the way hip hop beats were made, as well as other sample based genres. In his early records, Marl mixed James Brown samples and synthetic beats in a fashion previously unheard of, for the most part.
Marl started his career working for Tuff City Records. He debuted as an electro producer and began with hip-hop hits like electronic based "The God-Father" by Spoonie Gee making his debut with his unique sampling techniques. He was also affiliated with Andre Harrell's Uptown Records as he was featured on the label posse cut "Uptown is Kickin' it" as well as producing for Uptown Artist and friend Heavy-D and the Boyz The next year, Marl also recorded a diss response to "Roxanne Roxanne" by UTFO, with female emcee Roxanne Shanté. In 1985 released his first track, "DJ's Cuttin" under the pseudonym "NYC Cutter". Soon however, Marl's records became more sample heavy, as can be seen by comparing the MC Shan LPs Down By Law (1987) and Born to be Wild (1988); the rhythms less electronic, with drum samples and patterns becoming more prominent.

You can use this device to play music, make to-do and shopping lists, control smart home devices, like your thermostat, lights, and even your outside water sprinkler system and so much more.
There are 7 far field microphones that will hear you from across the room even if you’re in a noisy environment for hands free control. It also has it’s own internal speaker, but there is a 3.5 mm jack that will allow you to connect speakers of your choice to the device.

Amazon Echo Dot 2nd Generation
What’s up Everybody Dan here and you’ve just seen a few things you can do with the Amazon Echo Dot. Now this is the 2nd Gen Dot which is about 1/2 the cost of the 1st Gen model that was released in March of this year.
For those of you who don’t know the Echo Dot is a small voice controlled device that’s around the size of a hockey puck. You can use this device to play music, make to-do and shopping lists, control smart home devices, like your thermostat, lights, and even your outside water sprinkler system and so much more.
There are 7 far field microphones that will hear you from across the room even if you’re in a noisy environment for hands free control. It also has it’s own internal speaker, but there is a 3.5 mm jack that will allow you to connect speakers of your choice to the device.
BIG NOTE: This is a stand alone unit so the Original Amazon Echo is not required!
Now I’m going to cover My Top 5 Features of this 2nd Generation Amazon Echo Dot.
1. It’s much cheaper coming in with a $49.99 Price Tag which is around $30 cheaper than it’s predecessor
2. There are now 2 colors to choose from Black or White.
3. 4 buttons on the top including the Volume buttons, Mute & action button
4. This model is close to 2 inches shorter, due to the exclusion of the volume ring
5. Echo Spatial Perception this means if two echo dots are in the same general area the one you’re closest to will respond to your inquiry.
Is it Worth it to upgrade? Well if you already have the other Amazon voice controlled items in your home….probably not unless you want to add a few more to your setup. If you’ve never purchased one before, definitely scoop one up! By the way they come in several different packages, let’s check it out!

Playing sounds using ActionScript 3.0 is not as simple as we hoped it to be as it requires using more than one class to perform even the simplest of tasks relating to sound such as pausing or changing the sound volume. This tutorial will teach you all the basics you need to learn how to start playing local sounds in Flash.
This tutorial will be divided into the following sections:
Introduction to Sound Related Classes.
Playing an Internal Sound.
Stopping a Sound.
Pausing a Sound.
Changing Sound Volume.
Introduction to Sound Related Classes
Sounds in ActionScript 3.0 are manipulated through the collaborative work of several classes together. This is a much more complex structure than previous versions of ActionScript, but it is argued that this format will provide you with greater control and the ability to micro manage sounds. Here are the relevant classes related to sounds:
Sound Class - This is the main class in which a sound will actually reside. This class is the starting point of any sound related program and is used to start playing a sound.
SoundChannel Class - A sound can be played through a sound channel which provides additional controls over a sound object, the most basic of these additional controls is the ability to stop the playback of a sound.
SoundTransform Class - This class is responsible for altering sound volume and sound panning (manipulating the balance between the left and right speakers).
SoundMixer Class - This class has global control over all sounds played in the Flash player. It's most basic function is to stop all playing sounds regardless of source.

it is a great guitar.Its black...all black,Hardware just everything...oh wait,the nut is white,but why?!!
thats something i will have too change in the future because it looks odd.
And because its high gloss black its almost impossible to keep it clean. :'(
The guitar is not diving when you strap it which is really nice! ;)
its comfortable to play and the guitar got a loud resonance.
The Pickups..oh my...
they work with a 9volt battery that comes with the package. it can be changed without any tool on the backside of the guitar
The neck is a nice C-shape neck,not thin and not fat.
Its not a heavy guitar,but it doesnt feels like a toy,too..hm....feels like a 600 Euro guitar i would say. defintely better than any epiphone i had.
Strapped on you immediately start to make the james Hetfield and think "hell yeah"
The HBZ pickups are great for metal!

This Uber-cool looking electric guitar happens to be the Squier Bullet Stratocaster HSS finished in an attractive Green Metallic finish with a Sparkle effect scratchplate. Part of the Affinity range, the Squier Bullet Stratocaster is arguably classed as an entry-level electric guitar suitable for those starting out on their musical journey of discovery. However, Squier are in fact the sibling company to Fender - one of the most famous guitar manufacturers on the planet - and because of this Squier are licensed to create exact replicas of the infinitely more expensive Fender guitar models , but at a much more affordable "mainstream" price point.
This is exactly what has happened here with the Squier Bullet Stratocaster HSS ... It is exactly modelled on the Fender Stratocaster electric guitar, but with the addition of a hum-bucking pick-up at the bridge position which gives a wider range of sounds and which is also the best choice for rock or metal genres. The body of the guitar has been made using solid Alder wood and this is ably assisted by a bolt-on Maple neck with a C-shaped profile and a Rosewood fretboard that has inlaid dot fret markers.
The Stratocaster type guitar normally gets its sound from 3 x single coil pick-ups which are equally spaced across the scratchplate between the bridge and the neck, however with the Squier Bullet Stratocaster HSS shown here, one of the single coil pick-ups in the bridge position has been replaced with a hum-bucking pick-up which has twice as much out put than a single coil model. This means that whilst the other two single coil pick-ups excell at clean sounds, the humbucker is the perfect choice for rock and metal genres and all pick-ups have black plastic surrounds...
The hardware is in Black chrome to contrast the Metallic Green paint finish and includes a synchronous fully adjustable tremolo bridge, recessed jack insert plate and smooth action closed gear machine heads. The pick-ups are managed via 2 x tone and 1 x volume controls along with a 5-position sliding pick-up selector switch and the Squier Bullet Stratocaster HSS also features an oversized '60's style headstock.
