Silver is the third release and second EP by Jesu, released by Hydra Head Records on April 11, 2006. This album, their second EP, shows a more melodic and poppy side than the previously crushing Jesu releases, gaining comparisons to legendary shoegazer bands such as My Bloody Valentine and Ride. The Japanese version of this album contains two additional mixes of the songs "Silver" and "Wolves".

A few years ago, in Budapest, colleagues brainstormed an idea for creating a Japanese "Anime" version of Jesus' story. We met with former Disney animator, Barry Cooke who loved the idea. My role was very small, but after various scripts, music and concepts. HERE IT IS!
At one point it was the story of Jesus meeting the "Demoniac." Eventually, we decided the first story would be about Jesus' death and resurrection.
This story unfolds through the eyes of a criminal who receives the same brutal crucifixion sentence as Christ. "My Last Day" is a short film of regret, repentance and redemption. Animé created by The JESUS Film Project, with Barry Cook and Studio 4C (株式会社スタジオよんどしい Kabushiki-Gaisha Sutajio Yondo Shii). They created Animatrix, Tekkon Kinkreet and Gotham Knight.
Hopefully this will be the first of many short stories of Jesus' life. Thank you all for the years of prayer.

Jesu
Jesu is an experimental band formed in 2003 by Justin Broadrick following the breakup of Godflesh. Jesu was the name of the last song on the penultimate Godflesh release, Hymns.
Jesu's sound is heavily layered and textured, drawing from and incorporating an eclectic mix of influences, ranging from ambient music, drone doom, to shoegazing, downtempo and industrial music. Broadrick himself has made it known that he does not consider Jesu to fall into any of these categories and that he has been intentionally writing what he considers to be coherent and structured pop songs.
Biography
Jesu's first release, the Heart Ache EP, was released in 2004 and featured Broadrick performing all of the instruments and vocals alone. It was followed four months later by the full-length Jesu LP, which featured the addition of bassist Diarmuid Dalton and drummer Ted Parsons, although not every song features both members. A spring 2005 tour of Europe, in support of the album, featured Roderic Mounir of Knut filling in for Ted Parsons on drums.

A few years ago, in Budapest, colleagues brainstormed an idea for creating a Japanese "Anime" version of Jesus' story. We met with former Disney animator, Barry Cooke who loved the idea. My role was very small, but after various scripts, music and concepts. HERE IT IS!
At one point it was the story of Jesus meeting the "Demoniac." Eventually, we decided the first story would be about Jesus' death and resurrection.
This story unfolds through the eyes of a criminal who receives the same brutal crucifixion sentence as Christ. "My Last Day" is a short film of regret, repentance and redemption. Animé created by The JESUS Film Project, with Barry Cook and Studio 4C (株式会社スタジオよんどしい Kabushiki-Gaisha Sutajio Yondo Shii). They created Animatrix, Tekkon Kinkreet and Gotham Knight.
Hopefully this will be the first of many short stories of Jesus' life. Thank you all for the years of prayer.

II. Documents non chrétiens sur Jésus
- Thallus :
Historien païen dont les écrits qui datent de 52 sont perdus ; seuls quelques fragments cités par d'autres auteurs nous sont parvenus. Ainsi, Jules l'Africain, auteur chrétien des années 220 cite Thallus, à propos de l'obscurité qui a eu lieu lors de la crucifixion de Jésus :
"Thallus, au troisième livre de son Histoire explique cette obscurité par une éclipse, ce qui me parait inacceptable!".
Il s'agit ici d'une preuve "indirecte" de l'existence de Jésus : le fait que cet auteur parle de "l'éclipse" qui a eu lieu lors de la crucifixion de Jésus, implique qu'il considère comme acquis l'existence de Jésus.
- Josèphe (37 - 97) :
Prêtre, pharisien, il était chef militaire Juif pendant la guerre contre Rome. Il s'est rendu au général romain Vespasien, pendant le siège de Jotapa, alors que beaucoup de ses compagnons se sont suicidés plutôt que de se rendre. Sa collaboration avec les romains l'a fait haïr par ses compatriotes juifs. Historien juif, il a écrit "Guerre des juifs" (75-79), et "Antiquités Juives" (93).
"...Jésus, qui était un homme sage, si toutefois on doit le considérer comme un homme, tant ses œuvres étaient admirables... Des chefs de notre nation l'ayant accusé devant Pilate, celui-ci le fit crucifier... Il leur apparut vivant et ressuscité le troisième jour..." (Antiquités 18.3.3)
"Anan le jeune, qui avait reçu le grand-pontificat, ... réunit un sanhédrin, traduisit devant lui Jacques, frère de Jésus appelé le Christ, et certains autres, en les accusant d'avoir transgressé la loi, et les fit lapider."
- Manuscrit Syriaque n° 14658 du British Muséum (date de 73 environ)
Lettre envoyée par un Syrien nommé Mara Bar-Serapion, à son fils Serapion. Alors qu'il est en prison, il encourage son fils à poursuivre la sagesse, soulignant que ceux qui ont persécuté les sages ont eu des problèmes. Il prend comme exemple les morts de Socrates, Pythagore et Christ. A propos de Christ il dit :
"... quel avantage les Juifs ont-ils gagné à exécuter leur roi sage ? Leur royaume fut anéanti peu après..."
- Suétone (69 - 125)
Archiviste à la cour de l'empereur Hadrien. Disgracié en 122, il se consacra à des ouvrages historiques.
"Comme les juifs ne cessaient de troubler la cité sur l'instigation d'un certain Christus, il (Claude) les chassa de Rome" (Vie de Claude, XXV.11)
"Il livra aux supplices les Chrétiens, race adonnée à une superstition nouvelle et coupable" (Vie de Néron, XVI.3).
Ce passage n'est pas une preuve directe de l'existence de Christ ; mais il prouve qu'au temps de Néron, c'est à dire une trentaine d'années après la mort de Christ, il y avait des personnes qui se réclamaient de Christ : difficile de croire alors que Christ n'ai pas réellement existé !
- Cornélius Tacite (55 - 118)
Il est considéré comme le plus grand historien de la Rome impériale.
Il décrit l'incendie de Rome en 64, et explique que les chrétiens sont devenus les boucs émissaires de Néron qui les accuse d'avoir provoqué le feu ; vers 116 il écrit :
"le nom de chrétien leur vient du nom de Christ, qui fut condamné sous le règne de Tibère, par le procureur Ponce Pilate, ..." (Annales, 15.44)
- Pline le Jeune (61 - 114)
Écrivain latin. Il était gouverneur de la Bithynie (au nord-ouest de la Turquie) en 112. Dans une lettre adressée à l'empereur Trajan il lui demande conseil sur la façon de traiter les chrétiens :
"Ceux qui niaient être chrétiens ou l'avoir été, s'ils invoquaient des dieux selon la formule que je leur dictais et sacrifiaient par l'encens et le vin devant ton image que j'avais fait apporter à cette intention avec les statues des divinités, si en outre ils blasphémaient le Christ - toutes choses qu'il est, dit-on, impossible d'obtenir de ceux qui sont vraiment chrétiens -, j'ai pensé qu'il fallait les relâcher... [Ceux qui disaient qu'ils étaient chrétiens] affirmaient que toute leur faute, ou leur erreur, s'était bornée à avoir l'habitude de se réunir à jour fixe, avant le lever du soleil, de chanter entre eux alternativement un hymne au Christ comme à un dieu, ..." (Lettres et Panégyrique de Trajan : X/96/5-7)
Ce texte n'affirme pas l'existence de Jésus Christ, mais la confirme de façon indirecte : il prouve en effet qu'au début du IIème, des hommes et des femmes croyaient fermement à son existence.

The gospel contains four segments: an introduction to the nature of Jesus Christ; testimony by disciples and the presence of miracles; the Last Supper and crucifixion; and the appearance of the risen Christ. Henry Ian Cusick plays Jesus and Christopher Plummer provides voice-over narration. The Gospel of John was shown in a special presentation at the 2003 Toronto Film Festival.

Risitas - Las Paelleras (Original video with English Subtitles)
Like what happened with the famous Hitler scene from "Downfall", people are making videos with subtitles using this "interview" aired on Jesus Quintero's show, "Ratones Coloraos". The interviewee is Juan Joya, commonly known as "Risitas" or "El Risitas", literally meaning "little laughs" or "giggles", due to the way he laughs during his jokes and stories. He became very known in Spain. (The part most people end up using starts at 4:20, inb4 weed jokes) Some non-Spanish speakers wanted to know what they originally said, so I made this for them. I tried to make it as faithful as possible, but Risitas speaks with Andalusian accent and sometimes it can be a bit "closed". Amazing testimony and words of Jim Caviezel, the actor who played Jesus in The Passion of the Christ film, which is the highest grossing R-rated film in history (and rightly so) just like the Holy Bible is the world’s best-selling book (and rightly so). Jim Caviezel is being interviewed by Dave Cooper.
This interview is highly inspiring. He talks about how God's Providence allowed him to suffer several very painful injuries and illnesses when filming which allowed him to participate in and portray Christ's Passion in a deep and real way. He tells about the shocking fact that he was struck by lightning at one point in the production. He gives advice to all Catholics about the seriousness of living the Faith, not trying to "fit in" with our neo-pagan society, and the necessity, joy, and honor of suffering for Jesus Crucified for the salvation of souls. His testimony is amazing and real.

The first feedback I received on it was someone who wrote: “Truly profound and breathtaking!”
Please Note: At one point in his talk, Jim said, “You are all going to Heaven.” A critic might object, “What if there was someone in the audience who hates Christ and will never repent. So is Jim saying that he is going to Heaven too?” Of course such an unrepentant person who hates God chooses Hell with their free will (as Jim said in his talk, “God doesn’t send anyone to Hell, they choose that place”) and Jim’s statement cannot apply to them. So how are we to understand Jim’s sentence? First off, it is obvious from the context that Jim was addressing those among the audience who are of good will who desire to repent, live a virtuous life, and to take the necessary actions to reach Heaven. Furthermore, Jim expanded or qualified this statement later in his talk where he said that “God is asking for more conversion” and he reminded the audience that Heaven or Hell is a choice (on a related topic, he said that those in the production of the movie who were “fence-sitters” with regards to God who claimed they hadn’t made a choice were in reality making a choice by the mere fact that they were fence-sitting). A person chooses Heaven or Hell with their free will and manifests their choice by the way they lead their life and by their actions, words, thoughts, and prayers. One must want Heaven to reach there and to reach it requires effort just like anything worthwhile in the natural world. Our Lord told us in the Gospels that arriving at Heaven requires the person to receive sanctifying grace through baptism (which of course is ordinarily sacramental baptism by water, but in rare cases can include baptism of blood or authentic baptism of desire), repenting of their sins, and living a virtuous life where they preserve this grace. Hence, Jim’s statement must be understood with these qualifiers for his statement to be correct.
