He actually has the ability to show his inner self through his dancing like body movements, movements of JOY and PEACE. Because of Marvin's LOVE of HUMANITY and his concerns for peoples' happiness, his musical sounds transfer to each players inner being. The result is the music you're hearing tonight on SERIES 24, 1,2,3 and 4. Joel Newton is such a harmonic and percussive player that you become captured within each cluster of notes as he NEVER PLAYS "OVER THE LISTENER'S HEAD". He considers everyone in the room starting with his fellow musicians. The inter-change between Joel and Lew Scott is so natural. Lew Scott is a very considerate player and a true SERVANT OF THE MUSIC. I performed with him for years in Hugh Brodie's Cosmic Ensemble. I can tell you first hand how rooted he is in the chords and mapping out the foundation of every song. No matter how far out a player wants to travel, Lew is always there to guide the listener back to THE ROOTS. I am truly moved by the great videography that has been taking place here and the co-ordination with the audio. SYNCOPATION is the key to the music tonight and the visuals and audio are syncopated right along,actually in the center of it all helping to bring the music much closer to the listener. WOW! Mr. Vernon Byron is a new guy on the scene here and after hearing him participate I enjoyed his playing and sensitivity.
