Christine Caine (born 23 September 1966), is an Australian pastor, activist, evangelist, and international speaker. Christine and her husband Nick are best known for founding The A21 Campaign in 2008, a non-profit, non-governmental organisation that combats human trafficking, as well as Equip & Empower Ministries, which seeks to aid the development and growth of Christian churches and church leaders. A leader from Hillsong Church in her hometown of Sydney, Christine has written several books, including "A Life Unleashed," "Run to Win," "Can I Have (And Do) It All, Please?", "Undaunted", and "Core Issues", and has spoken about her passion for God, the local church and justice at conferences across the globe. Christine Caine was adopted at birth, and was raised by her Greek Orthodox immigrant parents in public commission housing in Lalor Park, Sydney Caine attended Lynwood Park Public School and High School.She was the only person from her school year to progress to university, where she graduated from Sydney University with a degree in English. Christine married Nick Caine in 1996, and together they have two children, Catherine Bobbie and Sophia Joyce Grace. Caine grew up in the Greek Orthodox Church in Australia. She began her journey into full-time ministry as a volunteer youth worker, when she helped establish Hillsong District Youth Service. She went on to become the director of the youth service, and eventually the director of the nationwide youth ministry, Youth Alive. Christine founded Equip & Empower Ministries in 2000 with her husband. As a couple, they are the directors of Equip & Empower and oversee offices in Sydney, Australia and Orange County, CA.Through Equip & Empower they also oversee an initiative called Project Europe that offers on-going mentoring, leadership training, and development to churches and pastors throughout Europe. Christine and Nick founded The A21 Campaign in 2008, a non-profit, non-governmental organisation which fights to "abolish injustice in 21st century." With 10 offices in 9 countries, their aim is to prevent human trafficking through awareness, to protect trafficked victims in their shelters and transition homes, to prosecute traffickers and strengthen the legal response to human trafficking, and to partner with law enforcement, individuals, corporations, official bodies, and other non-governmental organisations to end human trafficking in the 21st century.
