Armed with his art, and his two dots, he was spirited into the office of the Bulletin's owner - for both good light and good photographs of the Pope - only to be interrupted by "a 17 foot giant". Channel Nine, Sydney, went to Frank Packer's The Daily Telegraph.
Channel Seven, Sydney, went to a subsidiary of Fairfax, which owned the Sydney Morning Herald.
Channel Nine, Melbourne, went to a consortium which included two newspapers, The Argus and The Age.
Channel Seven, Melbourne, was originally owned by The Herald and Weekly Times Limited, owners of The Herald and The Sun.
Then in 1959, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth got their turn.

Frank Packer
Sir Douglas Frank Hewson Packer, KBE (3 December 1906 – 1 May 1974), was an Australian media proprietor who controlled Australian Consolidated Press and the Nine Network. He was the patriarch of the Packer family.
Biography
Frank Packer was born in Kings Cross, in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, New South Wales, to Ethel Maude Packer (née Hewson) (1878–1947) and Robert Clyde Packer (1879–1934), who started the family's association with the media as a journalist in New South Wales. His father, R. C. Packer, became editor of The Sunday Times and was a founder of Smith's Weekly and The Daily Guardian, which was published by Smith's Newspaper Ltd.
He attended Wahroonga Grammar School and Sydney Church of England Grammar School; however he did not sit for the Intermediate Certificate.
Career
In 1923, Packer became a cadet journalist on his father's paper, The Daily Guardian. Four years later, he was a director of the company. In 1933, Packer started The Australian Women's Weekly and then transformed The Daily Telegraph into one of Australia's leading newspapers.

Miss America
Miss America is a scholarship pageant that is held annually and is open to women from the United States between the ages of 17 and 24. Originating in 1921, the contest is now judged on competitors' talent performances and interviews in addition to their physical appearance. It is run by the Miss America Organization, a not-for-profit corporation based in Linwood, New Jersey, which has developed the "Miss America Scholarship Program", which awards educational scholarships to successful competitors. The stated purpose of the contest is that it "provides young women with a vehicle to further their personal and professional goals and instills a spirit of community service through a variety of unique nationwide community-based programs". Miss America travels about 20,000 miles a month, changing her location every 24 to 48 hours, touring the nation and promoting her particular platform of interest.
The current title-holder, Miss America 2016, is Miss Georgia 2015, Betty Cantrell who was crowned on September 13, 2015, by her predecessor Kira Kazantsev (Miss America 2015).

Kerry Packer
Kerry Francis Bullmore Packer, AC (17 December 1937 – 26 December 2005) was an Australian media tycoon. The Packer family company owned a controlling interest in both the Nine television network and leading Australian publishing company Australian Consolidated Press, which were later merged to form Publishing and Broadcasting Limited (PBL). Outside Australia, Packer was best known for founding World Series Cricket. At the time of his death, Packer was the richest and one of the most influential men in Australia. In 2004, Business Review Weekly magazine estimated Packer's net worth at A$6.5 billion. Kerry Packer was considered as one of Australia's most powerful media proprietors.
Early life
Kerry Packer was born Kerry Francis Bullmore Packer on 17 December 1937. His father was Sir Frank Packer, an Australian media proprietor who controlled Australian Consolidated Press and the Nine Network. His mother, Gretel Bullmore, was the daughter of Herbert Bullmore, the Scottish rugby union player. He had an older brother, Clyde Packer. He took part in various sports at school, including boxing, cricket, and rugby; though struggled academically, possibly due to undiagnosed dyslexia. On his father's death in 1974, the family estate, valued at $100 million, which included Australian Consolidated Press and the Nine Network, passed directly to Packer. His father had fallen out with his elder son, Clyde, in 1972.

Mark Allan “The Hairy Potter” Diamon, age 56, of Princeton, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at his home. He was born on April 26, 1955 in Kittery, Maine the son of Mark Irving and Elizabeth (Ashcom) Diamon. Mark married Maren Becker on November 9, 1977 in Kenosha. He ran his own pottery business and spent every summer Saturday at the Princeton Flea market selling art and pottery. Mark enjoyed life and had a variety of hobbies and interests. They included golf, tennis, hockey, football, politics, baking, cooking, and he was the grill master for gatherings. He especially enjoyed the Wisconsin Badgers and the Green Bay Packers. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a great friend to many. His grandchildren were the light of his life. Mark is survived by his wife, Maren (Becker) Diamon of Princeton; 3 children, Alex Diamon of Austin, TX, Sarah (Steven) Dearen of Austin, TX, Ben (Ashley) Diamon of Stafford, VA; 3 grandchildren, Iris, Reese and Sophia; dad, Mark Diamon and mom, Mary Diamon of Appleton; 2 sisters, Anne Diamon and Randy Muilenberg of Austin, Ashley (Derek) Diamon-Hildebrandt of Redondo Beach, CA; brothers-in-law, Dan Ervin, Lance Becker, Frank Becker, of Kenosha; sisters-in-law, Teri (Paul) DeCamp, Lysa Fraher, Andie (Larry) Meyer of Kenosha, Gretchen (Mark) Herman of Oshkosh. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Goray; brothers-in-law, Kurt Becker, Eric Becker; sister-in-law, Barb Ervin and his grandparents. Mr. Diamon requested to be cremated. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, January 21, at 3:30 pm with a time of remembrance at 4:30 pm, at the Wachholz and Sons Funeral Home, 303 W. Harvard St., in Princeton. A memorial service will also take place in Kenosha at a later date. The family would ask that any memorials be made to the American Heart Association. Miss America Volunteers "Day of Service" 2012... For the past 6 years, Miss America Volunteers from around the country gather together at Planet Hollywood to dedicate a "Day of Service" to the 53 Miss America contestants vying for the title of Miss America by offering a helping hand to Habitat for Humanity/Las Vegas. This event serves as a reminder to the volunteer efforts our Miss America contestants, as they give of themselves during their "Year of Service" to our state organizations. This year was no exception as the lobby filled early "Friday the 13th", January~ 2012 with friends and family anxious to honor their state title holders by donating their time and talents for this special project. Greeting each other with hugs and smiles this years participants poured into our awaiting greyhound bus as we left the hotel for the Habitat site at 7:30am. We were fortunate to have from the Miss Kentucky Scholarship Organization, pageant volunteer, Bryan Lloyd on board to keep us entertained during our trip by telling us the local "Las Vegas Strip" folklore..."Remember what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!" Once it our site, we registered and signed our Habitat T-shirt generously donated by Thomas Whitfield from Virginia, our "Habitat angels"~Miss America 2004, Ericka Dunlap and Miss America 1948, BeBe Shopp welcomed our group and warmed us up for the day! Picture perfect I might add, beautiful blue skies and 65 degrees. Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas Volunteer coordinator Bobbi Hardy, Project Manager, Roger Cooper and our Site Superintendent,Darryl Allen welcomed us back and made us realize how much this project means to them. They told us how much they look forward to our visit each year. Paul Brown from the Miss New York Organization was asked to speak on how he took this experience back to his pageant volunteers and shared it with the his state organization. Paul explained we are truly changes peoples lives by supporting the Habitat for Humanity mission to contribute to provide safe, affordable homes for the people of our communities. We were then divided up into small groups, some of us hit the roof, while others went inside to begin indoor projects, hammers and nails started flying. You should of heard the noise... We began to raise the roof! On a ladder, BeBe Shopp, was something to see...She hit each nail right on the head...She said, "I am here to work and we are here to help!" On the roof, Ericka Dunlap, was swinging and hitting those nails with gusto! and noise, did I mention the noise...no one seemed to mind one bit! At the half way point in the morning, Vicki Morrison handed out lollipops and much needed water, she is always a bright spot in our day. With lunchtime just around the corner, we were so excited to have our 2nd annual "Taco Party" by Qdoba, Mexican Grill with all the fixin's! I saw alot of folks go back for seconds and I highly recommend stopping by your local Qdoba's and check out their yummy menu! As the day began to wind down a young man walking by stopped and introduced himself even complimented us on the work we had done, "Very Impressive"! He explained he was writing an essay about the area we were working in, A few of the volunteers and I became fascinated with his information and I asked him to address our entire group of volunteers with some of the local history. He told us we were working in an area called the "Moulin Rouge" back in the 50's and 60's . Top performers regularly played in the Las Vegas hotels, great singers and musicians such as Sammy Davis Jr., Nat King Cole, Pearl Bailey, and Louis Armstrong would perform often on the strip and after their show didn't have a place to wind down and gather together. The Las Vegas Strip's lounges and casinos did not allowed black entertainers in so they headed for this area we were working in called the "Moulin Rouge". Frank Sinatra would show up there with other Rat Packers so they could enjoy the company of their good friend Sammy. Often, they would perform without pay to the integrated crowd. This "3rd show" drew many people from the famous Strip and downtown resorts. The Moulin Rouge was the place to be". It was a real eye opener for us to hear the history of this location and to be apart of that history to pass on the the mission of Habitat for Humanity for all mankind. At the end of his presentation we offered thanks for being able to make a difference in this community and presented our signed Habitat T-shirt to Bobbi Hardy, our team Habitat for Humanity Coordinator. "Signature Sponsor" Coordinator, Teri Galvez received a signed notebook by the Miss America Volunteers, for her to remember her fellow Habitat volunteers are rooting for her this spring as she makes a bid for the Republican National Committeewoman for the District of Columbia, Go Teri!, a thank you for her efforts in coordinating Lowe's sponsorship again this year. Armed with his art, and his two dots, he was spirited into the office of the Bulletin's owner - for both good light and good photographs of the Pope - only to be interrupted by "a 17 foot giant". Mark Allan “The Hairy Potter” Diamon, age 56, of Princeton, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at his home. He was born on April 26, 1955 in Kittery, Maine the son of Mark Irving and Elizabeth (Ashcom) Diamon. Mark married Maren Becker on November 9, 1977 in Kenosha. He ran his own pottery business and spent every summer Saturday at the Princeton Flea market selling art and pottery. Mark enjoyed life and had a variety of hobbies and interests. They included golf, tennis, hockey, football, politics, baking, cooking, and he was the grill master for gatherings. He especially enjoyed the Wisconsin Badgers and the Green Bay Packers. Mark Allan “The Hairy Potter” Diamon, age 56, of Princeton, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at his home. He was born on April 26, 1955 in Kittery, Maine the son of Mark Irving and Elizabeth (Ashcom) Diamon. Mark married Maren Becker on November 9, 1977 in Kenosha. He ran his own pottery business and spent every summer Saturday at the Princeton Flea market selling art and pottery. Mark enjoyed life and had a variety of hobbies and interests. They included golf, tennis, hockey, football, politics, baking, cooking, and he was the grill master for gatherings. He especially enjoyed the Wisconsin Badgers and the Green Bay Packers. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a great friend to many. His grandchildren were the light of his life.
Mark is survived by his wife, Maren (Becker) Diamon of Princeton; 3 children, Alex Diamon of Austin, TX, Sarah (Steven) Dearen of Austin, TX, Ben (Ashley) Diamon of Stafford, VA; 3 grandchildren, Iris, Reese and Sophia; dad, Mark Diamon and mom, Mary Diamon of Appleton; 2 sisters, Anne Diamon and Randy Muilenberg of Austin, Ashley (Derek) Diamon-Hildebrandt of Redondo Beach, CA; brothers-in-law, Dan Ervin, Lance Becker, Frank Becker, of Kenosha; sisters-in-law, Teri (Paul) DeCamp, Lysa Fraher, Andie (Larry) Meyer of Kenosha, Gretchen (Mark) Herman of Oshkosh. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Goray; brothers-in-law, Kurt Becker, Eric Becker; sister-in-law, Barb Ervin and his grandparents.
Mr. Diamon requested to be cremated. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, January 21, at 3:30 pm with a time of remembrance at 4:30 pm, at the Wachholz and Sons Funeral Home, 303 W. Harvard St., in Princeton. A memorial service will also take place in Kenosha at a later date. The family would ask that any memorials be made to the American Heart Association. Miss America Volunteers "Day of Service" 2012...
For the past 6 years, Miss America Volunteers from around the country gather together at Planet Hollywood to dedicate a "Day of Service" to the 53 Miss America contestants vying for the title of Miss America by offering a helping hand to Habitat for Humanity/Las Vegas. This event serves as a reminder to the volunteer efforts our Miss America contestants, as they give of themselves during their "Year of Service" to our state organizations.
This year was no exception as the lobby filled early "Friday the 13th", January~ 2012 with friends and family anxious to honor their state title holders by donating their time and talents for this special project. Greeting each other with hugs and smiles this years participants poured into our awaiting greyhound bus as we left the hotel for the Habitat site at 7:30am. We were fortunate to have from the Miss Kentucky Scholarship Organization, pageant volunteer, Bryan Lloyd on board to keep us entertained during our trip by telling us the local "Las Vegas Strip" folklore..."Remember what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!"
Once it our site, we registered and signed our Habitat T-shirt generously donated by Thomas Whitfield from Virginia, our "Habitat angels"~Miss America 2004, Ericka Dunlap and Miss America 1948, BeBe Shopp welcomed our group and warmed us up for the day! Picture perfect I might add, beautiful blue skies and 65 degrees. Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas Volunteer coordinator Bobbi Hardy, Project Manager, Roger Cooper and our Site Superintendent,Darryl Allen welcomed us back and made us realize how much this project means to them. They told us how much they look forward to our visit each year. Paul Brown from the Miss New York Organization was asked to speak on how he took this experience back to his pageant volunteers and shared it with the his state organization. Paul explained we are truly changes peoples lives by supporting the Habitat for Humanity mission to contribute to provide safe, affordable homes for the people of our communities. We were then divided up into small groups, some of us hit the roof, while others went inside to begin indoor projects, hammers and nails started flying. You should of heard the noise... We began to raise the roof!
On a ladder, BeBe Shopp, was something to see...She hit each nail right on the head...She said, "I am here to work and we are here to help!"
On the roof, Ericka Dunlap, was swinging and hitting those nails with gusto! and noise, did I mention the noise...no one seemed to mind one bit! At the half way point in the morning, Vicki Morrison handed out lollipops and much needed water, she is always a bright spot in our day.
With lunchtime just around the corner, we were so excited to have our 2nd annual "Taco Party" by Qdoba, Mexican Grill with all the fixin's! I saw alot of folks go back for seconds and I highly recommend stopping by your local Qdoba's and check out their yummy menu!
As the day began to wind down a young man walking by stopped and introduced himself even complimented us on the work we had done, "Very Impressive"! He explained he was writing an essay about the area we were working in, A few of the volunteers and I became fascinated with his information and I asked him to address our entire group of volunteers with some of the local history. He told us we were working in an area called the "Moulin Rouge" back in the 50's and 60's . Top performers regularly played in the Las Vegas hotels, great singers and musicians such as Sammy Davis Jr., Nat King Cole, Pearl Bailey, and Louis Armstrong would perform often on the strip and after their show didn't have a place to wind down and gather together. The Las Vegas Strip's lounges and casinos did not allowed black entertainers in so they headed for this area we were working in called the "Moulin Rouge". Frank Sinatra would show up there with other Rat Packers so they could enjoy the company of their good friend Sammy. Often, they would perform without pay to the integrated crowd. This "3rd show" drew many people from the famous Strip and downtown resorts. The Moulin Rouge was the place to be". It was a real eye opener for us to hear the history of this location and to be apart of that history to pass on the the mission of Habitat for Humanity for all mankind.
At the end of his presentation we offered thanks for being able to make a difference in this community and presented our signed Habitat T-shirt to Bobbi Hardy, our team Habitat for Humanity Coordinator. "Signature Sponsor" Coordinator, Teri Galvez received a signed notebook by the Miss America Volunteers, for her to remember her fellow Habitat volunteers are rooting for her this spring as she makes a bid for the Republican National Committeewoman for the District of Columbia, Go Teri!, a thank you for her efforts in coordinating Lowe's sponsorship again this year.

As the day began to wind down a young man walking by stopped and introduced himself even complimented us on the work we had done, "Very Impressive"! He explained he was writing an essay about the area we were working in, A few of the volunteers and I became fascinated with his information and I asked him to address our entire group of volunteers with some of the local history. He told us we were working in an area called the "Moulin Rouge" back in the 50's and 60's . Top performers regularly played in the Las Vegas hotels, great singers and musicians such as Sammy Davis Jr., Nat King Cole, Pearl Bailey, and Louis Armstrong would perform often on the strip and after their show didn't have a place to wind down and gather together. The Las Vegas Strip's lounges and casinos did not allowed black entertainers in so they headed for this area we were working in called the "Moulin Rouge". Frank Sinatra would show up there with other Rat Packers so they could enjoy the company of their good friend Sammy. Often, they would perform without pay to the integrated crowd. This "3rd show" drew many people from the famous Strip and downtown resorts. The Moulin Rouge was the place to be". It was a real eye opener for us to hear the history of this location and to be apart of that history to pass on the the mission of Habitat for Humanity for all mankind.
At the end of his presentation we offered thanks for being able to make a difference in this community and presented our signed Habitat T-shirt to Bobbi Hardy, our team Habitat for Humanity Coordinator. "Signature Sponsor" Coordinator, Teri Galvez received a signed notebook by the Miss America Volunteers, for her to remember her fellow Habitat volunteers are rooting for her this spring as she makes a bid for the Republican National Committeewoman for the District of Columbia, Go Teri!, a thank you for her efforts in coordinating Lowe's sponsorship again this year.

Armed with his art, and his two dots, he was spirited into the office of the Bulletin's owner - for both good light and good photographs of the Pope - only to be interrupted by "a 17 foot giant". Mark Allan “The Hairy Potter” Diamon, age 56, of Princeton, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at his home. He was born on April 26, 1955 in Kittery, Maine the son of Mark Irving and Elizabeth (Ashcom) Diamon. Mark married Maren Becker on November 9, 1977 in Kenosha. He ran his own pottery business and spent every summer Saturday at the Princeton Flea market selling art and pottery. Mark enjoyed life and had a variety of hobbies and interests. They included golf, tennis, hockey, football, politics, baking, cooking, and he was the grill master for gatherings. He especially enjoyed the Wisconsin Badgers and the Green Bay Packers. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a great friend to many. His grandchildren were the light of his life.
Mark is survived by his wife, Maren (Becker) Diamon of Princeton; 3 children, Alex Diamon of Austin, TX, Sarah (Steven) Dearen of Austin, TX, Ben (Ashley) Diamon of Stafford, VA; 3 grandchildren, Iris, Reese and Sophia; dad, Mark Diamon and mom, Mary Diamon of Appleton; 2 sisters, Anne Diamon and Randy Muilenberg of Austin, Ashley (Derek) Diamon-Hildebrandt of Redondo Beach, CA; brothers-in-law, Dan Ervin, Lance Becker, Frank Becker, of Kenosha; sisters-in-law, Teri (Paul) DeCamp, Lysa Fraher, Andie (Larry) Meyer of Kenosha, Gretchen (Mark) Herman of Oshkosh. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Goray; brothers-in-law, Kurt Becker, Eric Becker; sister-in-law, Barb Ervin and his grandparents.
Mr. Diamon requested to be cremated. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, January 21, at 3:30 pm with a time of remembrance at 4:30 pm, at the Wachholz and Sons Funeral Home, 303 W. Harvard St., in Princeton. A memorial service will also take place in Kenosha at a later date. The family would ask that any memorials be made to the American Heart Association. Miss America Volunteers "Day of Service" 2012...
For the past 6 years, Miss America Volunteers from around the country gather together at Planet Hollywood to dedicate a "Day of Service" to the 53 Miss America contestants vying for the title of Miss America by offering a helping hand to Habitat for Humanity/Las Vegas. This event serves as a reminder to the volunteer efforts our Miss America contestants, as they give of themselves during their "Year of Service" to our state organizations.
This year was no exception as the lobby filled early "Friday the 13th", January~ 2012 with friends and family anxious to honor their state title holders by donating their time and talents for this special project. Greeting each other with hugs and smiles this years participants poured into our awaiting greyhound bus as we left the hotel for the Habitat site at 7:30am. We were fortunate to have from the Miss Kentucky Scholarship Organization, pageant volunteer, Bryan Lloyd on board to keep us entertained during our trip by telling us the local "Las Vegas Strip" folklore..."Remember what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!"
Once it our site, we registered and signed our Habitat T-shirt generously donated by Thomas Whitfield from Virginia, our "Habitat angels"~Miss America 2004, Ericka Dunlap and Miss America 1948, BeBe Shopp welcomed our group and warmed us up for the day! Picture perfect I might add, beautiful blue skies and 65 degrees. Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas Volunteer coordinator Bobbi Hardy, Project Manager, Roger Cooper and our Site Superintendent,Darryl Allen welcomed us back and made us realize how much this project means to them. They told us how much they look forward to our visit each year. Paul Brown from the Miss New York Organization was asked to speak on how he took this experience back to his pageant volunteers and shared it with the his state organization. Paul explained we are truly changes peoples lives by supporting the Habitat for Humanity mission to contribute to provide safe, affordable homes for the people of our communities. We were then divided up into small groups, some of us hit the roof, while others went inside to begin indoor projects, hammers and nails started flying. You should of heard the noise... We began to raise the roof!
On a ladder, BeBe Shopp, was something to see...She hit each nail right on the head...She said, "I am here to work and we are here to help!"
On the roof, Ericka Dunlap, was swinging and hitting those nails with gusto! and noise, did I mention the noise...no one seemed to mind one bit! At the half way point in the morning, Vicki Morrison handed out lollipops and much needed water, she is always a bright spot in our day.
With lunchtime just around the corner, we were so excited to have our 2nd annual "Taco Party" by Qdoba, Mexican Grill with all the fixin's! I saw alot of folks go back for seconds and I highly recommend stopping by your local Qdoba's and check out their yummy menu!
As the day began to wind down a young man walking by stopped and introduced himself even complimented us on the work we had done, "Very Impressive"! He explained he was writing an essay about the area we were working in, A few of the volunteers and I became fascinated with his information and I asked him to address our entire group of volunteers with some of the local history. He told us we were working in an area called the "Moulin Rouge" back in the 50's and 60's . Top performers regularly played in the Las Vegas hotels, great singers and musicians such as Sammy Davis Jr., Nat King Cole, Pearl Bailey, and Louis Armstrong would perform often on the strip and after their show didn't have a place to wind down and gather together. The Las Vegas Strip's lounges and casinos did not allowed black entertainers in so they headed for this area we were working in called the "Moulin Rouge". Frank Sinatra would show up there with other Rat Packers so they could enjoy the company of their good friend Sammy. Often, they would perform without pay to the integrated crowd. This "3rd show" drew many people from the famous Strip and downtown resorts. The Moulin Rouge was the place to be". It was a real eye opener for us to hear the history of this location and to be apart of that history to pass on the the mission of Habitat for Humanity for all mankind.
At the end of his presentation we offered thanks for being able to make a difference in this community and presented our signed Habitat T-shirt to Bobbi Hardy, our team Habitat for Humanity Coordinator. "Signature Sponsor" Coordinator, Teri Galvez received a signed notebook by the Miss America Volunteers, for her to remember her fellow Habitat volunteers are rooting for her this spring as she makes a bid for the Republican National Committeewoman for the District of Columbia, Go Teri!, a thank you for her efforts in coordinating Lowe's sponsorship again this year.

With lunchtime just around the corner, we were so excited to have our 2nd annual "Taco Party" by Qdoba, Mexican Grill with all the fixin's! I saw alot of folks go back for seconds and I highly recommend stopping by your local Qdoba's and check out their yummy menu!
As the day began to wind down a young man walking by stopped and introduced himself even complimented us on the work we had done, "Very Impressive"! He explained he was writing an essay about the area we were working in, A few of the volunteers and I became fascinated with his information and I asked him to address our entire group of volunteers with some of the local history. He told us we were working in an area called the "Moulin Rouge" back in the 50's and 60's . Top performers regularly played in the Las Vegas hotels, great singers and musicians such as Sammy Davis Jr., Nat King Cole, Pearl Bailey, and Louis Armstrong would perform often on the strip and after their show didn't have a place to wind down and gather together. The Las Vegas Strip's lounges and casinos did not allowed black entertainers in so they headed for this area we were working in called the "Moulin Rouge". Frank Sinatra would show up there with other Rat Packers so they could enjoy the company of their good friend Sammy. Often, they would perform without pay to the integrated crowd. This "3rd show" drew many people from the famous Strip and downtown resorts. The Moulin Rouge was the place to be". It was a real eye opener for us to hear the history of this location and to be apart of that history to pass on the the mission of Habitat for Humanity for all mankind.
At the end of his presentation we offered thanks for being able to make a difference in this community and presented our signed Habitat T-shirt to Bobbi Hardy, our team Habitat for Humanity Coordinator. "Signature Sponsor" Coordinator, Teri Galvez received a signed notebook by the Miss America Volunteers, for her to remember her fellow Habitat volunteers are rooting for her this spring as she makes a bid for the Republican National Committeewoman for the District of Columbia, Go Teri!, a thank you for her efforts in coordinating Lowe's sponsorship again this year.

It's almost like Shakespeare's Henry IV, Part 1. It's a chunk of national history during Australia's great era of change after the war."
