Intellectual giftedness

Intellectual giftedness is an intellectual ability significantly higher than average. It is a characteristic of children, variously defined, that motivates differences in school programming. It is thought to persist as a trait into adult life, with various consequences studied in longitudinal studies of giftedness over the last century. There is no generally agreed definition of giftedness for either children or adults, but most school placement decisions and most longitudinal studies over the course of individual lives have been based on IQ in the top 2 percent of the population, that is above IQ 130.

The various definitions of intellectual giftedness include either general high ability or specific abilities. For example, by some definitions an intellectually gifted person may have a striking talent for mathematics without equally strong language skills. In particular, the relationship between artistic ability or musical ability and the high academic ability usually associated with high IQ scores is still being explored, with some authors referring to all of those forms of high ability as "giftedness," while other authors distinguish "giftedness" from "talent." There is still much controversy and much research on the topic of how adult performance unfolds from trait differences in childhood, and what educational and other supports best help the development of adult giftedness.

Mckenna Grace

Mckenna Grace (born June 25, 2006) is an American child actress, best known for playing the role of Jasmine Bernstein in the series Crash & Bernstein and Faith Newman in The Young and the Restless.

Career

In 2013, Grace made her acting debut by playing Sydney in the television pilot Joe, Joe & Jane. Later she appeared in the series Crash & Bernstein. She has also had a recurring part playing Faith Newman on The Young and the Restless between 2013–15.

Grace also filmed the significant role of Juliet in the horror film Amityville: The Awakening along with Bella Thorne. Franck Khalfoun directed the film which is scheduled for an April 15, 2016 release.

Mckenna played the role of Daisy in the science fiction thriller film Independence Day: Resurgence along with Liam Hemsworth and Maika Monroe. The film is directed by Roland Emmerich and scheduled to release on June 24, 2016 by 20th Century Fox.

Recently, Grace has had a recurring role on the CBS series CSI: Cyber.

Grace is set to play the lead role in the drama film Gifted along with Chris Evans and Octavia Spencer, while Marc Webb will direct the film.

The Gifted

The Gifted is the third studio album by American rapper Wale. The album was released on June 25, 2013 in the United States by Maybach Music Group and Atlantic Records. The album features guest appearances from Meek Mill, Cee Lo Green, Yo Gotti, Lyfe Jennings, Nicki Minaj, Juicy J, Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Rick Ross, Wiz Khalifa, 2 Chainz, and Tiara Thomas among others. The album was supported by four official singles— "Bad", "LoveHate Thing", "Bad (Remix)" and "Clappers". Upon its release The Gifted received generally positive reviews from music critics. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 158,000 copies in its first week of release. As of October 2013, the album has sold over 323,000 copies in the United States.

Background

On November 25, 2011, shortly after the release of Ambition, Wale announced on Twitter that he had already begun working on his third album. In November 2012, during an interview with MTV, Wale explained he would be taking a new approach with his third studio album, saying:

Jenny Sarah Slate (born March 25, 1982) is an American actress, stand-up comedian, voice artist and author best known for her role as Donna Stern in Obvious Child, as well as being the co-creator of the Marcel the Shell With Shoes On short films and children's book series. She is also known for her season as a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 2009 to 2010, for her appearances in shows, such as House of Lies, Married, Parks and Recreation, Bob's Burgers, Hello Ladies, and Kroll Show.

Early life

Slate was born Jenny Sarah Slate in Milton, Massachusetts on March 25, 1982 to Ron Slate (born 1950), a Massachusetts-based poet and author, and Nancy (née Gilson), a ceramicist. She is the middle child of three, with two sisters named Abigail and Stacey. She was raised in a Jewish family. One of her grandmothers, whose family was from Russia and Turkey, was born in Cuba and raised in France.

After graduating from Milton Academy as the valedictorian, she attended Columbia University as a literature major, where she helped form the improv group Fruit Paunch, starred in the Varsity Show, and met Gabe Liedman. Slate graduated from Columbia University in 2004.
