It doesn't need to be a certain brand but the products DO need to be organic, unrefined, raw, unfiltered. The ACV NEEDS to have a 5% acidity level. Dr bronners is the ONLY 'shampoo' that doesn't irritate my scalp (it's actually a soap). I can't recommend any alternatives to this I'm sorry because it's literally the only thing that doesn't leave my scalp flaky and it has worked for over 3 years now. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How to cure your scalp psoriasis: STARTING OUT WITH A BAD CONDITION SCALP: (do the oil treatments once every other night for the first couple weeks, after a month only do them once a week, and do them less and less as you feel you need them. Just don't do them every single night because your scalp does need to breath and too many oil treatments can lead to an infection so definitely space it out.) 1.) Hemp seed oil over night treatments: Buy hemp seed oil (unrefined, raw, organic). Warm the oil on the stove and make sure it doesn't get too hot because that will kill the good properties in it. how to warm the oil (the way my dermatologist taught me..but I don't actually do it this way): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGpJgHmO9RY Get your hair wet/damp and apply the oil on the entire surface area of your scalp. If you have long hair you will want to part your hair section by section (centimeter by centimeter) and dip your fingers into the oil and onto your scalp and dab in the oil all down the parts of your hair. In the morning, (after the oil has been on your scalp for about 8 hours), wash the oil out with dr bronners unscented pure castile soap. Wash your hair UPSIDE-DOWN - this will make the oil come out a lot easier and quicker. Apply, lather, and rinse about 5 times. The moment you think your hair is clean is the moment you need ONE more lather and rinse. 3.) after you think you got all the oil out, apply Apple cider vinegar (ACV) (raw, organic, unrefined, unfiltered, 5%) to your scalp and HAIR too. ACV will take out all of the tangles and make your hair very soft. It will treat the "seborrheic dermatitis" of the scalp and prevent itch from coming back. **i do not dilute the ACV - I use it full strength** ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ FOR SCALP THAT HAS HAD ENOUGH OIL TREATMENTS - AKA - NORMAL DAYS: 1.) wash your hair with dr bronners pure oil castile shampoo unscented. Tip: focus washing out one side at a time - like- start washing out the bubbles on the right, then once thats clean, wash the top portion, then the left side, etc. 2.) Take your travel sized squeeze bottle with the apple cider vinegar in it, and apply it to the scalp and hair - use it as conditioner.
