Jul på Vesterbro er en dansk, socialrealistisk, satirisk voksen-julekalender, der kørte på DR2 fra den 1. december til den 24. december 2003.
Serien følger julekalendertraditionen, da der er 24 afsnit, hvoraf hvert varer cirka et kvarter. Serien er bygget op omkring figurerne fra Anders Matthesens radioføljeton af samme navn, der kørte på DR P3’s Børneradio i 1999. Serien er instrueret af Morten Lorentzen
og skrevet af Thomas Hartmann, Nikolaj Peyk og Anders Matthesen selv. Serien har kostet 4 millioner at lave og Mikael Bertelsen arbejdede som producent på serien.
DVDen modtog GULD for mere end 20.000 solgte eksemplarer. I 2004 var serien med i julekalenderen på DR2, Jul i den gamle Kolbøttefabrik, der også havde episoder fra Drengene fra Angoras Team Easy On involveret. I 2004 vandt serien prisen som "Årets Nyskabelse" til TV Prisen.
Alle afsnitene blev genudsendt den 30. november 2007 på DR2. Julekalenderen blev igen genudsendt på DR2 i 2009 - og genudsendtes igen på DR2 i 2013.

Vesterbro is located just outside Copenhagen's city center—the Inner City or Indre By—making it a very attractive place to live, as are the other areas immediately outside the center: the Indre Nørrebro ("Inner Nørrebro"), Indre Østerbro ("Inner Østerbro"), Frederiksberg, and Christianshavn.
The district is located west of the city center at the location of the old Western Gate (''Vesterport''), access way into the old city. The gate, along with the other three gates into the old city-- Østerport ("Eastern Gate") near the current Østerport station), Nørreport ("Northern Gate") near the current Nørreport station, and Amagerport ("Amager Gate", i.e. functionally the Southern Gate) between Christianshavn and the island of Amager-- were dismantled in 1856.
The name "Vesterbro" literally translates into English as "Western Bridge", and refers to the paved (Danish, brolagt) road leading into the city through the Western Gate. Vesterbro is the area of the bridge into the city of Copenhagen, which was a much smaller city at the time when the name was created. At that time, the city was ringed by a moat which exist today as the Tivoli lake and others.
The area is under the process of being renovated to a great extent and the renovation will end in 2017.[2] The environment and sustainability is one of the essential reasons for the renovation.[3] Vesterbro has a central location that makes it a favored place to live. It has had a reputation as a center for prostitution and drug trafficking, where only the poorest would live, and there is still a certain amount of these activities in the area, especially on Istedgade and near Halmtorvet, but there has been police focus on clearing up troublesome areas. The area is also known as the easy place to get drugs in Copenhagen.

Melodi Grand Prix
Melodi Grand Prix (also known as MGP or Grand Prix) is an annual music competition organised by Norwegian public broadcaster Norsk Rikskringkasting (NRK). It determines the country's representative for the Eurovision Song Contest, and has been staged almost every year since 1960.
The festival has produced three Eurovision winners and nine top-five placings for Norway at the contest. However, Norway holds the record for the number of entries who have come last since entering Eurovision; 11 in all. Despite this, the competition still makes considerable impact on music charts in Norway, and in other Nordic countries, with the 2008 winner topping the Norwegian charts.
Origins
The Eurovision Song Contest began on 24 May 1956, when the Grand Prix Eurovision de la Chanson Européenne was held in Lugano, Switzerland. Norway's first contest was the fourth, the 1960 Contest. The first Melodi Grand Prix was held on 20 February at the NRK Television Centre in Oslo. Ten songs competed in the radio semi-final, held on 2 February, where the top 5 songs would progress to the televised contest. However this number was increased to 6 after three songs tied for fourth place. The winner of the televised contest was "Voi Voi", performed by Nora Brockstedt. Brockstedt performed Norway's first Eurovision entry at London on 29 March, and placed a respectable fourth. Brockstedt also went on to win the following year's contest as well with "Sommer i Palma".

Vesterbro is located just outside Copenhagen's city center—the Inner City or Indre By—making it a very attractive place to live, as are the other areas immediately outside the center: the Indre Nørrebro ("Inner Nørrebro"), Indre Østerbro ("Inner Østerbro"), Frederiksberg, and Christianshavn.
The district is located west of the city center at the location of the old Western Gate (''Vesterport''), access way into the old city. The gate, along with the other three gates into the old city-- Østerport ("Eastern Gate") near the current Østerport station), Nørreport ("Northern Gate") near the current Nørreport station, and Amagerport ("Amager Gate", i.e. functionally the Southern Gate) between Christianshavn and the island of Amager-- were dismantled in 1856.
The name "Vesterbro" literally translates into English as "Western Bridge", and refers to the paved (Danish, brolagt) road leading into the city through the Western Gate. Vesterbro is the area of the bridge into the city of Copenhagen, which was a much smaller city at the time when the name was created. At that time, the city was ringed by a moat which exist today as the Tivoli lake and others.
The area is under the process of being renovated to a great extent and the renovation will end in 2017.[2] The environment and sustainability is one of the essential reasons for the renovation.[3] Vesterbro has a central location that makes it a favored place to live. It has had a reputation as a center for prostitution and drug trafficking, where only the poorest would live, and there is still a certain amount of these activities in the area, especially on Istedgade and near Halmtorvet, but there has been police focus on clearing up troublesome areas. The area is also known as the easy place to get drugs in Copenhagen.
