Tonight Jared and I took Cooper and Grizz to their very first stadium baseball game to see the Orem Owlz play! Obviously Grizz won't remember so I don't know if it counts, but Cooper will sure remember and I think it will only be good memories. When we told him we were going to the game he went over and (with his excited hand gesture of putting hands together and wiggling them) was telling Boone what were going to do. We had to break it to him that Boone wasn't coming because, well Boone is at a stage in life that makes it hard go out without causing a scene, so we thought a babysitter would be best for everyone. He was a little sad that Boone got to be babysat because he loves it when we leave him-"you gonna take me and say bye, bye?" But once we arrived at the game he was so excited!
Coopers first thought when he saw the stadium was "what animals live in there?" The cute guy thought it was a giant pen. We told him that there weren't any animals but that he might spy some 'Owlz' in there and to keep an eye open for them. Before we even had the chance to enter the stadium we were greeted by the coolest cars because it was car show night (they have a theme each night) and now I'm aching for a vintage truck. Once we entered the Owlz stadium we were kindly greeted with Orem Owlz fun; like a park, bounce houses, face painting station, and not to mention the best seats in the house to watch the Orem Owlz make an awesome comeback. We ate our way through the night and enjoyed all sorts of concession stand goodies! Cooper favorite was the ice cream, mine the pretzel, and Jared's the nachos. We all loved our night watching the Owlz play, and the family friendly atmosphere that would have even been Boone friendly, which is saying a lot. We can't wait to go back and take our ENTIRE family! Thanks for the fun night Orem Owlz!
