Queen Elizabeth, Queen Elisabeth, or Elizabeth the Queen may refer to:
HMS Queen Elizabeth could refer to one of three ships named in honour of Elizabeth I of England:
Seven ships of the Royal Navy have been named HMS Queen. It is one of the oldest ship names of the Royal Navy dating from the time of Henry III of England.
The Royal Navy (RN) is the United Kingdom's principal naval warfare force. Naval forces were first used by Alfred the Great in the 9th century, and from the early 14th century England's navy was engaged in maritime warfare. The modern Royal Navy traces its origins to the early 16th century, it is the oldest of the armed services and is known as the Senior Service.
During the 17th century the Royal Navy vied with the French Navy for world supremacy, and from the late 17th century until the mid- 1940s it was the most powerful navy in the world, being surpassed by the US Navy after World War II. The Royal Navy played a key part in establishing the British Empire as the dominant world power during the 17th, 18th, 19th and first part of the 20th centuries. Due to this historical prominence, it is usual – even among non-Britons – to refer to it as "The Royal Navy" without qualification.
Following victory in the First World War, the Royal Navy was significantly reduced in size, although at the onset of the Second World War it was still the largest in the world. By the end of the Second World War, however, the United States Navy had emerged as the world's largest. During the course of the Cold War, the Royal Navy transformed into a primarily anti-submarine force, hunting for Soviet submarines, mostly active in the GIUK gap. Following the collapse of the Soviet Union, its focus has returned to expeditionary operations around the world.

The Royal Navy's Aircraft Carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth practically finished. Her sister ship HMS Prince of Wales mostly hidden from view behind the huge white doors under the blue gantry crane. These are the 2 largest warships ever sailed by the Royal Navy and they cost £3.1 Billion each. When you add in the new Forth Road Crossing at £1.35 Billion and that's a fair chunk of taxpayers money in my lens today. Impressive?? Not really when you compare the fact that Al Bundy scored four touchdowns in a single game while playing for the Polk High School Panthers in the 1966 city championship game versus Andrew Johnson High School, including the game-winning touchdown in the final seconds.

This episode we prepare naval invasions of Australia and Canada while hunting the elusive HMS Queen Elizabeth near British Malaya.
The Queen has officially named the UK's largest ever warship in a spectacular ceremony in Rosyth, near Edinburgh. HMS QUEEN ELIZABETH is the first of two 65,000 tonne Queen Elizabeth Class aircraft carriers being delivered by the Aircraft Carrier Alliance, a partnership between the Ministry of Defence, BAE Systems, Babcock and Thales. The naming ceremony marks the structural completion of the vessel, which will be floated out of her dock in the following weeks. The Red Arrows turned the sky red, white and blue above the ship before Her Majesty christened the ship with a bottle of whisky.
The largest warship ever built in the UK has been successfully floated on the water for the first time. The 65,000-tonne Royal Navy aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth was floated out of the docks at Rosyth shipyard, where she was assembled, into the waters of the Forth of Firth in Scotland. The naming ceremony for the HMS Queen Elizabeth was held July 4 in Rosyth, Scotland, a major dockyard located just north of the nation's capital city of Edinburgh. British Prime Minister David Cameron and the U.K.'s defense secretary, Philip Hammond, were also in attendance, as were many of the workers who helped build the giant warship. At 71,650 tons, the new ship is the largest ever built for the Royal Navy. It stands over 183 feet tall (56 meters) and measures nearly 919 feet (280 meters) long. ...
