Over 1000 killed in deadly Pakistan floods, thousands stranded
In Pakistan, the death toll from the worst flooding the country's seen in over eighty years has reached more than 1100. Officials say that figure could rise as there are areas rescue workers have not yet been able to reach. Flooded roads and damaged bridges are hampering rescue efforts. Some 27000 are still stranded in remote villages.

Pakistan floods made millions homeless in August 2010 - Humanitarian Day appeal
Pakistan floods made millions homeless in August 2010 - Humanitarian Day appeal
Pakistan floods 2010 made millions homeless -- spsyed analysis. Over 20 million people have been affected by serious torrents flooding in Pakistan where people need bare basics, such as clean drinking water, food, tents, shelters, blankets as well as medical aid, mosquito nets, sanitation equipment and generators to avert a public health catastrophe. The biblical scenes show a tip of the iceberg as the heavy monsoon rains continue to fall across the country, and as floods wash away almost everything in its path. Mud and land slides have swept away hundreds of roads and bridges and many parts of Pakistan are cut off, hampering and frustrating relief efforts. Pakistan has seen nothing like it in its history -- it is the worst flooding in 80 years since 1930. A region the size of England has been flooded. It is a mega disaster that is worse than 2004 tsunami and October 2005 earthquake. The worst floods to hit the region in 80 years could get worse, as it is only midway through monsoon season. Pakistan floods 2010 rank in one of the worst ever. More than 1500000 homes have so far been destroyed across Pakistan, 2.5m acres (994642 hectares) of agricultural crop land have been flooded and 50000 cows have died in the 800 miles long, up to 15-feet high and up to 50 miles wide floods that has submerged hundreds of villages in the country, drowning and killing more than 5000 people and injuring over 60000. Some 30000 Pakistani soldiers have joined the operation to rescue thousands ...

Pakistan floods 2010 - Angelina Jolie, UN chief, Humanitarian Day appeal...
Pakistan floods 2010 - UN chief Ban Ki-moon, and Angela Jolie appeal - spsyed analysis. UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie has pledged her tried and tested support to help victims of Pakistan's super floods of the century. The massive challenge was too huge for any government or party to undertake on its own. Some 12 per cent of the population, over 20 million people, have been affected by one of the worst catastrophes in Pakistan's history. More than eight million need food, shelter and water. The distribution of aid cannot keep pace with the sheer scale of the massive disaster. The super floods, triggered by torrential monsoon rains in July-August 2010, engulfed Pakistan's Indus river basin, killing up to 1600 people. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon visited Pakistan to assess the clossal damage caused by the devastating super floods. He met the country's politicians to discuss the country's worst floods in decades as popular anger mounts over the government's failure to tackle the crisis. Ban urged the international community to speed up its assistance to Pakistan. He spoke on the urgent need of over 20 million people affected by the super floods. "I am here ... to urge the world community to speed up their assistance to the Pakistani people. We will try to mobilise all necessary assistance and remember that the whole world is behind the people of Pakistan in this time of trial," Ban Ki-moon said. PAKISTAN FLOOD 2010 AFTER LAHORE ATTACKS AFTER ERASING KALIMA URDU
THE CONDITIONS OF AHMADIES WAS DEGRADING DAY BY DAY AND THEY WERE BEING TARGETTED AND KILLED EVERY OTHER DAY. ON OCT 7 OF 2005, 8 INNOCENT AHMADIES WERE KILLED WHILE OFFERING FAJAR PRAYERS AND THEN ON MAY 28 OF THIS YEAR ABOUT 90 AHMADIES WERE BRUTALLY MURDERED BY RADICALS ISLAMICS AND WHILE THE MASSACARE WAS BEING CARRIED OUT FOR ABOUT 3 HOURS IN GARHI SHAHU MOSQUE - PEOPLE WERE DISTRIBUTING SWEETS OUTSIDE IN JOY AND HAPPINESS. POLICE WAS DIABLED AS THERE WAS 1 PERSON STANDING ON THE MINARAT AND OUR HUNDREDS OF POLICE WAS UNABLE TO GO IN JUST BECAUSE A SINGLE PERSON WAS UNCONTROLABLE BY HUNDREDS OF POLICE OFFICERS. SOME OF THE POLICE OFFICERS TOLD THE LOCAL AHMADIES OUT SIDE THE MOSQUE THAT THEY HAVE NO ORDERS TO GO IN AND FIGHT BACK WITH THE KILLERS. More than 800 dead in Pakistan floods
PESHAWAR, Pakistan -- A regional minister says the death toll in floods that have lashed Pakistan has risen above 800. Mian Iftikhar Hussain, the information minister for Khyber-Pakhtoonkhwa province in Pakistan's northwest, said Saturday that the death reports have come in from districts around the region this past week. The northwest has been the hardest hit province in the extraordinary flooding caused by the monsoon rains. THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE. Check back soon for further information. The UN estimated Saturday that some 1 million people were affected, though it didn't specify exactly what that meant. In the northwest, the hardest-hit region, it was the worst flooding since 1929. People clung to fences and each other as water gushed over their heads, TV footage showed. Scores of men, women and children sat on roofs. "There are very bad conditions," said Amjad Ali, a rescue worker in the Nowshera area. "They have no water, no food." A doctor treating evacuees at a small relief camp in Nowshera said some had diarrhea and others ...
