Famous Food is a VH1 reality series that premiered 10 July 2011. It features seven celebrities as they work to open and take ownership in a restaurant in Hollywood owned by Mike Malin (who competed in Big Brother 2 and Big Brother 7: All-Stars, which he won) and Lonnie Moore of The Dolce Group. Due to low ratings, VH1 announced on July 15 that the show will move to Wednesdays 8/7c beginning July 20.DJ Paul was the winner of the partnership but after a twist the judges awarded a second partnership to Danielle Staub.

In 2011, various cast members were seen filming for an upcoming reality series. On April 21, 2011, the series was confirmed by VH1. On the same day, cast member Heidi Montag talked about the series on On Air with Ryan Seacrest, saying it "is about several celebrities coming together and building a restaurant, and working in it, and kind of figuring out the in’s and outs of the restaurant business, and how to be successful in it."

The contestants will work to launch Famous Food, a Hollywood restaurant, with their skills being tested in challenges. At the season's end, the winner will be given a partnership stake in the business.

Heidi Blair Pratt (née Montag; born September 15, 1986) is an American media personality and singer. She came to prominence with her starring role on the MTV reality series The Hills from 2006 to 2010. In 2007, Montag began working on her debut album, Superficial, which was released in January 2010. She was featured in the second season of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me out of Here! in 2009 and later appeared in VH1's reality series Famous Food during 2011.

In November 2008, Montag and The Hills cast member Spencer Pratt eloped to Mexico. The couple later married in the United States in April 2009. In July 2010, Montag filed for divorce after fifteen months of marriage to Pratt, but called off the divorce in September 2010.

Montag was born in Crested Butte, Colorado on September 15, 1986. Her parents, Darlene and Tim Egelhoff, owned a restaurant in Crested Butte, although it was closed after twenty-one years of operation. Reality television personality Holly Montag is her older sister by three years. After graduating from high school, Montag moved to California where she enrolled at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

Danielle Staub (born Beverly Ann Merrill; July 29, 1962) is an American television personality, author,singer, and adult performer best known for her appearance on the Bravo reality series Real Housewives of New Jersey.

During the first season of Real Housewives of New Jersey, the participants in the reality show confronted Staub with Charles Kipps's book Cop Without a Badge, which recounts events surrounding an undercover FBI informer, Kevin Maher (one of Staub's former husbands) including an account of Staub's arrest. Known at the time as Beverly Ann Merrill, Staub cooperated with authorities and received five years' probation. Although Staub has acknowledged that she was arrested in June 1986, she denies many of the other allegations made by Maher. Staub's autobiography, The Naked Truth, was released on May 25, 2010, and in it she claims that her arrest was a matter of "wrong place/wrong time".

Staub has also received media attention for a sex tape which was stolen from her (according to Staub) or which was deliberately released by Staub (according to an unnamed source quoted by Jacqueline Laurita). Staub's ex-boyfriend later tried to sell the tape but was legally blocked from doing so by Staub. He then filed a lawsuit against her for saying that she was taped without her knowledge or consent, which is ongoing.

Vincent Pastore (born July 14, 1946) is an Italian-American actor, often cast as a mobster and best known for the role of Salvatore "Big Pussy" Bonpensiero on The Sopranos.

Pastore was born in The Bronx, New York. Following his graduation from high school, he enlisted in the US Navy. He then attended Pace University for 3 years before eventually going into the acting industry after befriending Matt and Kevin Dillon; he was previously a club-owner in New Rochelle, New York.

Pastore has made a career of playing the parts of Italian-American mobsters. He began with small parts in 1990's GoodFellas and 1993's Carlito's Way. In GoodFellas, he is briefly seen rolling a coat rack through the kitchen of The Bamboo Lounge and is credited as "Vincent Pastore" playing "Man with Coat Rack". In Carlito's Way, he is one of the friends of the Italian man that dances with Gail, whom Kleinfeld insults. He is listed in the credits as "Vinny Pastore" playing "Copa Wiseguy."

Pastore got a bigger role in the comedy/crime film The Jerky Boys (1995) as Tony Scarboni, one of the three gangsters and Lazarro (Alan Arkin)'s clients. In the 1996 HBO television movie Gotti, Pastore played the character of Angelo Ruggiero, alongside fellow Sopranos cast members Tony Sirico and Dominic Chianese.

Paul Beauregard, better known by his stage name DJ Paul, is an American rapper and record producer from Memphis, Tennessee. He is one half of the Memphis-based rap group Three 6 Mafia. He is also the half-brother of former Three 6 Mafia member Lord Infamous. He won an Academy Award for Best Original Song for "It's Hard out Here for a Pimp". DJ Paul founded Scale-A-Ton Entertainment in 2009.

DJ Paul (Paul Beauregard) began his career as a DJ, producer, and rapper in the early 90's. He was one-half of the duo The Serial Killaz, his older half-brother Lord Infamous (Ricky Dunigan) was the other half. They released self-recorded tapes in their neighborhood, school, and local shops. "Portrait Of A Serial Killa" was their first tape, released in 1992. Also DJ Paul released numerous solo mixtapes (ex: c "Volume 12 (Pts. 1 and 2)", "Volume 15: For You Niggaz Wit' Anna", and "Volume 16: 4 Da Summa of '94").

DJ Paul rose to prominence as one of the best DJ-producers on the south side of Memphis, and met up with DJ/artist/producer Juicy J (Jordan Houston), also garnering buzz on the North side of Memphis. They noticed they had a lot of similar interests eventually merging their sound and crew members to form the super-group The Backyard Posse (later known as Triple Six Mafia). DJ Paul and Juicy J soon began producing dark, eerie tracks driven by bass-heavy beats and haunting sounds, and invited numerous Backyard Posse members to rap over the beats with them. They released the resulting tracks locally as Triple Six Mafia; years later these recordings would resurface as re-releases.
