The SNES Control Deck (Model SNS - 101) Erin Plays
I want to talk about the often forgotten SNES Control Deck! This thing goes by A LOT of names, and it was kind of the first "SNES Mini." Watch as I try to find out more about this late version of the Super Nintendo and reminisce about my experience getting it as a kid. Hope you enjoy!

CGR Undertow - SUPER NINTENDO MINI SNS-101 Video Game Console Review
Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow video game console review of the SNS-101 Super Nintendo Entertainment System aka SNES 2, SNES Mini, or SNES Jr. Released in 1997 as a cheaper alternative to fifth generation consoles like the Sony PlayStation, Nintendo 64, or Sega Saturn, the SNS-101 was designed to be more compact and lightweight than the original Super Nintendo. There's also a few minor differences in its power and reset buttons and video output as pointed out in this video, but otherwise this miniature version of the classic gaming system is great as a replacement for a broken console or for die hard collectors. This review demonstrates the SNS-101 with commentary from CGR Undertow reviewer Kevin.

CGRundertow SUPER NINTENDO SNS-001 Video Game Console Review
Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow video game console review of the Super Nintendo (SNS-001). The SNES wasn't the first 16-bit system on the block, but it would go on to be the top selling console of the era with almost 50 million units sold worldwide. Nintendo's Forgotten Super Nintendo: SNES Jr. (SNES 101) (SNES 2)
If you live in either of the Americas and think about the Super Nintendo, the blocky grey and purple one will likely come to mind.
It was understandable why the NES had a different name and a much different design than the Famicom, because the NES was designed as a Trojan Horse to bring gaming back into the United States after the video game crash of 1983. By 1991 gaming was in full swing which begs the question, why did North America get an ugly looking SNES while the rest of the world got the sleek and professional looking one? As it turns out, we ALSO got another varient in 1997 that looks much better.
