A microscope (from the Ancient Greek: μικρός, mikrós, "small" and σκοπεῖν, skopeîn, "to look" or "see") is an instrument used to see objects that are too small for the naked eye. The science of investigating small objects using such an instrument is called microscopy. Microscopic means invisible to the eye unless aided by a microscope.
There are many types of microscopes. The most common (and the first to be invented) is the optical microscope, which uses light to image the sample. Other major types of microscopes are the electron microscope (both the transmission electron microscope and the scanning electron microscope), the ultramicroscope, and the various types of scanning probe microscope.
On October 8, 2014, the Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded to Eric Betzig, William Moerner and Stefan Hell for "the development of super-resolved fluorescence microscopy," which brings "optical microscopy into the nanodimension".
The first microscope to be developed was the optical microscope, although the original inventor is not easy to identify. Evidence points to the first compound microscope appearing in the Netherlands by the 1620s, with a likely inventor being Cornelis Drebbel. Counter claims include it being invented by Hans Lippershey (who obtained the first telescope patent) and what may be a dubious claim by Zacharias Janssen's son that his father invented the microscope and telescope.Giovanni Faber coined the name microscope for Galileo Galilei's compound microscope in 1625 (Galileo had called it the "occhiolino" or "little eye").
Rhett and Link are an "Internetainer" duo consisting of Rhett James McLaughlin (born October 11, 1977) and Charles Lincoln "Link" Neal (born June 1, 1978) from North Carolina. Self-styled as "Internetainers" (a portmanteau of the words "Internet" and "entertainers"), they are known for their online viral videos and comedy songs, ten-episode TV series Rhett & Link: Commercial Kings for the Independent Film Channel, and more recently, their daily talk-show, Good Mythical Morning. In their 2008 documentary, Looking for Ms. Locklear, they chronicled their search for the first grade teacher in whose class they met for the first time.
The duo runs a number of YouTube channels including Rhett & Link, which has over 584 million views and nearly 4 million subscribers, and Good Mythical Morning, a talk-show posted on weekdays at 6:00 am EST with over 1.9 billion views and over 9 million subscribers (making it the 63rd most-subscribed YouTube channel). With 2 million subscribers, a third channel called Good Mythical MORE airs directly after Good Mythical Morning and is described as the "show after the show." Their fourth channel called EXTRAS – RhettandLink (RhettandLink4) is dedicated to uploading extras (BTSs, included sketches of Good Mythical Morning, etc.) and unedited versions of certain videos. As of November 2015, their fifth channel, RhettandLink5, is inactive, with only one (unlisted) video. There is a sixth channel, but it has no videos at all, and it is unknown whether or not it is official. They have also created Buenos y Míticos Días, a channel with content from their Good Mythical Morning channel dubbed to Spanish, with over 31 thousand subscribers.

From a needle and thread to terrifying dust mites, here are 20 Things You DON'T Want To See Under a Microscope. Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr # 9 Needle in Thread Ever wonder how it could be so hard to get a piece of thread through a needle hole? This close-up shot might help you understand why. Even though thread is pretty small, it’s still made up of several pieces of fiber. Try getting this to that tiny little needle. That’s why even the slightest frying of your thread might make it impossible to push it through a needle. This might help you understand why it’s so hard to thread a needle, but it probably won’t make you feel any less frustrated. # 8 Dental Plaque When you neglect the health of your teeth your teeth, you can grow something called plaque. Because a lot of people asked, this is the model of microscope I used: http://magazin.telescop-expert.ro/microscop-biologic-bim-136b.html 3 days ago I satisfied one of my childhood desires to peek under the hood of the visible world so I bought a biological microscope. I did not want to boy a cheap digital one because it didn't have the optical capabilities that I wanted (1000x oil immersion, at least semi plan objective lenses), the possibility to add a dark field condenser (which I will) so I had to figure out a way to capture the images. One solution would have be...

From trees, humans, animals, houses, wildlife, and more, there is nothing around us that isn’t short of amazing. Even with the ocean, there is a world that we have yet been able to capture fully, as the depths of the ocean goes beyond what we can explore as humans at the moment. But there is yet, another world that have just started to discover. If you’ve ever been a fan of Dr. Seuss’ “Horton Hears a Who”, then you’ll be delighted to know that there is a whole other world that is so tiny that we cannot see with our naked eye. It’s a r...
Humans have long known that glass bends light. However, it took us awhile to figure out that stacking lenses in a tube would open up a whole new world to science, finally allowing us a peek at the microscopic. Don’t wanna hear that’s what he said and she said
That kind of garbage rolls on down the hill
Don’t wanna know about what he knows and she knows
That kind of work, it don’t pay my bills
A million dollars couldn’t pay the toll
I dropped my hammer and I’m down the road
You try to follow me so close behind
Soak up the magic and away I ride
There’s a great deal that you don’t know
There’s a great depth that you can’t go love
Now there’s a great deal that you don’t know
Under the microscope I will float, I will float
You got some scruff and it’s time for shavin’
Your hairs too long, better start behavin’
You keep on pushin’ on me night and day
But I’ll be risin’ from that grave
A billion dollars couldn’t pay the toll
I dropped my hammer and I’m down the road
You try to follow me so close behind
Soak up the magic and away I ride
There’s a great deal that you don’t know
There’s a great depth that you can’t go love
