The setting was already intriguing. A Greek from Pontus, living in Athens is a luthier of some of the best Spanish guitars. His name is Vassilis and he is not only an accomplished luthier but also a charming human. We spend 3 days with him in his small and packed lab in Athens, where we learned a lot, laughed a lot and in general had a great time. The end result combined with the music of Edstard left everyone more than satisfied.

Making-of
In cinema, a making-of, also known as behind-the-scenes, the set or on the set is a documentary film that features the production of a film or television program. This is often referred to as the EPK (electronic press kit) video, due to its main usage as a promotional tool, either concurrent with theatrical release or as a bonus feature for the film's DVD.
Feature length documentaries on the making of other films has become a film genre in its own right. The making-of film may ultimately be more important than the film itself. In the case of Lost in La Mancha, the making-of video ended up documenting the collapse and abandonment of the feature film it was covering (The Man Who Killed Don Quixote), and ultimately the making-of video was the only part of the production to see a commercial release as a theatrical documentary feature.
Shorter making-of documentaries are often used as a bonus on DVDs, as it offers more insight into the film, how it was made, and to credit the film crew. Occasionally, some films have included a "making of the making-of" as a joke. The making-of is also often released for TV as a part of the promotion of the film.

Synopsis
After failing sentimentally, with his family and at school, Bahta, a 25 years old breakdancer, feels down and, due to the Iraq war, reconsiders his clandestine escape. A rebel and disobedient by nature, the leader of a little breakdancer band, accomplishes many fearless deeds provoking the police’s anger. Wanted, he falls in with fundamentalists. The brainwashing process will not take place without mishaps.

The Art
The Art (sometimes stylised as THEART) are an Australian Alternative Rock band based in Sydney. They began performing under the name The Follow in 2004. Tasmanian band leader Azaria Byrne was known as an unsuccessful contestant on the reality television series Popstars.
Early highlights for the band's career have been supporting successful bands such as the Pixies, Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, Sonic Youth and Thirty Seconds to Mars as late as 2010, however this was marred by the crowd booing and calls to "get off the stage".
As band leader Azaria Byrne enters middle age success has so far eluded him despite media attention resulting from his being cuckolded by the even older fading celebrity Bill Corgan.
The other band members have all been described as "dull" but this could also be a result of the attention seeking behavior of their singer.

Game of Thrones
Game of Thrones is an American fantasy drama television series created by showrunners David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. It is an adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire, George R. R. Martin's series of fantasy novels, the first of which is titled A Game of Thrones. It is filmed in a Belfast studio and on location elsewhere in Croatia, Iceland, Malta, Morocco, Northern Ireland, Spain, Scotland, and the United States, and premiered on HBO in the United States on April 17, 2011. The series has been renewed for a sixth season, which will premiere on April 24, 2016.
The series is set on the fictional continents of Westeros and Essos, and interweaves several plot lines with a large ensemble cast. The first narrative arc follows a civil war among several noble houses for the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms; the second covers the attempts to reclaim the throne by the exiled last scion of the realm's deposed ruling dynasty; the third chronicles the rising threat of the impending winter and the legendary creatures and fierce peoples of the North.

The setting was already intriguing. A Greek from Pontus, living in Athens is a luthier of some of the best Spanish guitars. His name is Vassilis and he is not only an accomplished luthier but also a charming human. We spend 3 days with him in his small and packed lab in Athens, where we learned a lot, laughed a lot and in general had a great time. The end result combined with the music of Edstard left everyone more than satisfied. Having done the shooting, we were not happy with the result and so we had to scrap the initial idea and start all over. Making Future Magic: iPad light painting
This film explores playful uses for the increasingly ubiquitous ‘glowing rectangles’ that inhabit the world. We use photographic and animation techniques that were developed to draw moving 3-dimensional typography and objects with an iPad. In dark environments, we play movies on the surface of the iPad that extrude 3-d light forms as they move through the exposure. Multiple exposures with slightly different movies make up the stop-frame animation. His name is Vassilis and he is not only an accomplished luthier but also a charming human. We spend 3 days with him in his small and packed lab in Athens, where we learned a lot, laughed a lot and in general had a great time. The end result combined with the music of Edstard left everyone more than satisfied.

This is where it all began. It was our first attempt to design and produce one of our ideas for a film. Having done the shooting, we were not happy with the result and so we had to scrap the initial idea and start all over. We experimented and improvised with the music, the editing and the graphics until we felt we had something. Having no expectations, we posted it on vimeo. The feedback was quick and overwhelming. People’s comments from around the world, gave us the motivation to continue with more films for the series.

This film explores playful uses for the increasingly ubiquitous ‘glowing rectangles’ that inhabit the world.
We use photographic and animation techniques that were developed to draw moving 3-dimensional typography and objects with an iPad. In dark environments, we play movies on the surface of the iPad that extrude 3-d light forms as they move through the exposure. Multiple exposures with slightly different movies make up the stop-frame animation.

The Bear & the Hare is the first John Lewis campaign to embrace the emotive power of animation, a filmic technique so evocative of Christmasses gone by.
Elliot and Yves took the two most traditional and time-honoured animation processes – stop-motion and traditional hand-drawn 2D animation – and combined them to create something innovative and unique. Their aim was to do almost everything in camera, using real lighting, lens and film craft to build a world where the audience can see and feel the painstaking work behind it. The 2D animation’s physical interaction with the set and the human imperfections inherent in the process create a hand-crafted piece full of heart and integrity.
The animation process involved constant shifts between 2D and 3D worlds. In order to achieve this complicated combination the whole film was first created in Blinkink Studios as a 3D previsualisation animatic with all the sets and characters built to scale. This allowed everything to be developed and planned alongside the modelmakers and animators, thus integrating the different disciplines and processes before the set was built or the characters were printed.
Aaron Blaise (Brother Bear, The Lion King, Mulan) and his team of veteran Disney animators at Premise Entertainment in Orlando, Florida, designed and animated the characters. The 2D-animation frames were printed onto mounted paper and cut with a laser. Each frame (nearly 4,000 in total) was then individually hand-labelled before going on set. Feature-film stop-frame animators then spent 6 weeks bringing the world to life.
The set was built by our production designer John Lee (Aliens, Fantastic Mr Fox, Frankenweenie) and his team at Shepperton Studios before being transported to Clapham Road Studios ready for the stop-motion shoot.
Post-production was done in-house in Blinkink’s animation studio, and the final grade was completed at MPC.

The setting was already intriguing. A Greek from Pontus, living in Athens is a luthier of some of the best Spanish guitars. His name is Vassilis and he is not only an accomplished luthier but also a charming human. We spend 3 days with him in his small and packed lab in Athens, where we learned a lot, laughed a lot and in general had a great time. This is where it all began. It was our first attempt to design and produce one of our ideas for a film. Having done the shooting, we were not happy with the result and so we had to scrap the initial idea and start all over. We experimented and improvised with the music, the editing and the graphics until we felt we had something. Having no expectations, we posted it on vimeo. The feedback was quick and overwhelming. Making Future Magic: iPad light painting
This film explores playful uses for the increasingly ubiquitous ‘glowing rectangles’ that inhabit the world. We use photographic and animation techniques that were developed to draw moving 3-dimensional typography and objects with an iPad. In dark environments, we play movies on the surface of the iPad that extrude 3-d light forms as they move through the exposure. Multiple exposures with slightly different movies make up the stop-frame animation. We spend 3 days with him in his small and packed lab in Athens, where we learned a lot, laughed a lot and in general had a great time. The end result combined with the music of Edstard left everyone more than satisfied.

This is where it all began. It was our first attempt to design and produce one of our ideas for a film. Having done the shooting, we were not happy with the result and so we had to scrap the initial idea and start all over. We experimented and improvised with the music, the editing and the graphics until we felt we had something. Having no expectations, we posted it on vimeo. The feedback was quick and overwhelming. People’s comments from around the world, gave us the motivation to continue with more films for the series.

This film explores playful uses for the increasingly ubiquitous ‘glowing rectangles’ that inhabit the world.
We use photographic and animation techniques that were developed to draw moving 3-dimensional typography and objects with an iPad. In dark environments, we play movies on the surface of the iPad that extrude 3-d light forms as they move through the exposure. Multiple exposures with slightly different movies make up the stop-frame animation.

In dark environments, we play movies on the surface of the iPad that extrude 3-d light forms as they move through the exposure. Multiple exposures with slightly different movies make up the stop-frame animation.

The Bear & the Hare is the first John Lewis campaign to embrace the emotive power of animation, a filmic technique so evocative of Christmasses gone by.
Elliot and Yves took the two most traditional and time-honoured animation processes – stop-motion and traditional hand-drawn 2D animation – and combined them to create something innovative and unique. Their aim was to do almost everything in camera, using real lighting, lens and film craft to build a world where the audience can see and feel the painstaking work behind it. The 2D animation’s physical interaction with the set and the human imperfections inherent in the process create a hand-crafted piece full of heart and integrity.
The animation process involved constant shifts between 2D and 3D worlds. In order to achieve this complicated combination the whole film was first created in Blinkink Studios as a 3D previsualisation animatic with all the sets and characters built to scale. This allowed everything to be developed and planned alongside the modelmakers and animators, thus integrating the different disciplines and processes before the set was built or the characters were printed.
Aaron Blaise (Brother Bear, The Lion King, Mulan) and his team of veteran Disney animators at Premise Entertainment in Orlando, Florida, designed and animated the characters. The 2D-animation frames were printed onto mounted paper and cut with a laser. Each frame (nearly 4,000 in total) was then individually hand-labelled before going on set. Feature-film stop-frame animators then spent 6 weeks bringing the world to life.
The set was built by our production designer John Lee (Aliens, Fantastic Mr Fox, Frankenweenie) and his team at Shepperton Studios before being transported to Clapham Road Studios ready for the stop-motion shoot.
Post-production was done in-house in Blinkink’s animation studio, and the final grade was completed at MPC.
