Seattle (i/siˈætəl/) is a West Coast seaport city and the seat of King County. With an estimated 662,400 residents as of 2015, Seattle is the largest city in both the state of Washington and the Pacific Northwest region of North America. In July 2013 it was the fastest-growing major city in the United States, and remained in the top five in May 2015 with an annual growth rate of 2.1%. The Seattle metropolitan area of around 3.6 million inhabitants is the 15th largest metropolitan area in the United States. The city is situated on an isthmus between Puget Sound (an inlet of the Pacific Ocean) and Lake Washington, about 100 miles (160 km) south of the Canada–United States border. A major gateway for trade with Asia, Seattle is the third largest port in North America in terms of container handling as of 2015.
The Seattle area was previously inhabited by Native Americans for at least 4,000 years before the first permanent European settlers.Arthur A. Denny and his group of travelers, subsequently known as the Denny Party, arrived from Illinois via Portland, Oregon on the schooner Exact at Alki Point on November 13, 1851. The settlement was moved to the eastern shore of Elliott Bay and named "Seattle" in 1852, after Chief Si'ahl of the local Duwamish and Suquamish tribes.

Plot: Under the direction of their group therapist, Dr. Johnson, June, Reaper, Seattle, Trig and Izzie go on weekly group dates. Each group date is supposed to give them an opportunity to express themselves in a supportive environment. However, it doesn't take long for things to go wrong, and the daters are right back where they started. Each week, the daters debrief with Dr. Johnson and see if they are any closer to their romantic goals. They're sure they can work themselves out, if they ever learn to give up their bad habits. If not this week, maybe next time. And trust me, a bad date for these guys would be a good start!

It was a cramped flight home in economy in the tightly fit slim seats of All Nippon Airways Dreamliner's economy class, but other than that complaint it was a smooth journey in a new Dreamliner with excellent service that you'll see throughout the video. Welcome to Japan as we board flight 178 and head home to Seattle, WA USA. My suggestions, if you're a tall person do yourself a favor and pick an aisle seat no matter how much you like the window or splurge on their premium economy which looked like some airline's business class products! Yo whats up? This is the second part of my trip to Seattle. We were delayed for about 5.5 hours due to heavy thunderstorms in Washington Dulles(thus the title: my long way to seattle) I have never personally experienced anything like that, it looks impressive on the footage but it was way more frightening in real! I was so happy that we didn't try to fly out of Dulles with such bad weather approaching! Luckily we could fly the same day so nothing changed in our travel plans. United really did a great job there and I'm very thankful for that! Also how they managed to arrange everything to get us to Seattle after midnight was really impressive! Well done United! If you have any questions, feedback or just want to tell me a funny joke don't hesitate to write a comment below! As usual more re...
Hey guys First of all I'm terribly sorry for the terrible quality in the first part of the video! I saved and adapted my project a couple of times to prevent the movie maker from crashing but it fucked up the quality! SORRY. Wont happen again. I'm still in a learning process how to get my videos awesome! :) This is the first part of my trip to Seattle. United offered the best deal in economy and flying on a 777 over the pond isn't too bad so we decided to give them a try in economy. They have a really nice economy product on their 777's, even with a 3-3-3 layout. Legroom was great too but see for yourself in the video. I think it would be fun to add a little more to my reviews like the waking up scenes or going to the airport scenes. Let me know if you like them and what you think about i...

Onboard Delta Airlines Seattle to Seoul service aboard their Boeing 767-300 in Economy Class. I did not opt for the Economy Comfort upgrade option which was priced at $150 one way. Trenten Huntington, Foster MBA Class of 2012, recently interviewed U.S. Representative Jay Inslee to find out what the Congressman thinks of the vital role of cleantech innovation—not only environmentally, but also economically—and why the UW Environmental Innovation Challenge is an important venue for tomorrow’s cleantech “revolutionaries.” In the UW Environmental Innovation Challenge, student teams define a cleantech problem, design and develop the solution, and produce both a prototype (proof of concept/computer simulation) and business summary that demonstrates the market opportunity. Teams are judged—by Seattle-area experts, entrepreneurs, and cleantech investors—on their prototypes, pitches and business summaries, plus their innovation’s potential for impact. One of the best restaurants in the Seattle International District is King Noodle at 615 S King St, Seattle, WA 98104 . They have rice dishes, but we pretty much always go for the noodles and dumplings, which are fantastic. You can get dishes mild to spicy and it's all fresh and tasty. A big bowl of noodles runs about $8.00. We usually get two big bowls of noodles and a half order of dumplings (6) and the bill runs about $23.00. If you're in Seattle wandering around Chinatown, there's plenty of great places to eat, and King Noodle is one of the best. Definitely give it a go. My grand-aunt Mimi asked if I could help her share the story of her life. Something like this is impossible to give justice in an 8 minute piece, but all I can hope is that the enormous amount of life that she had in her soul is apparent to all of those who watch this. Unfortunately, a little over a month after Mimi saw this film, she had a sudden illness followed by a stroke with several complications, she passed away on September 26th, 2016. In this moment, Mimi would prefer us celebrate her life, rather than be saddened by her death. So, here's to Mimi! I hope this film encourages those who see it to take a moment and capture a story from one of their elders on whatever media is available. The worth of these stories is invaluable and life can take sudden, unexpected turns. Love ...

Join this special MITEF Venture Lab, co-hosted by MIT Enterprise Forum and the Product Management Consortium, as we dive into a fascinating case study of the Ultreo toothbrush, and a nuts-and-bolts discussion of...

During my time as an intern at Digital Kitchen, I was tasked with doing an individual passion project of my choosing. This encouraged me to explore a medium I was previously unfamiliar with – film. One of my favourite things to do in a new city is to discover the food and flavours it has to offer. I find that it’s often hard to discover the real gems through just using the internet, so it’s usually best to turn to the locals instead. Thus, I decided to ask the only people I knew in the city, my coworkers, what their favourite spots to eat were in the city and why they meant something to them. The project evolved overtime and eventually became what it is today: a compilation of Seattle food culture through the lens of Digital Kitchen. Thank you to everyone at Digital Kitchen’s Seattl...

Our name describes our family, our handcrafted products, and our passion to bring authentic Thai flavor to all the foods you love. Growing up, our mother’s original Thai recipes filled us with deep respect for our heritage, pride in our culture, and a lifelong craving for the fresh, potent flavors found only in authentic Thai cooking. We realized just how special these recipes were when we opened our family restaurant “Toi” in Seattle. Named after our mom, she shared her recipes and skills, served as our guide and inspiration, and was the final word on taste and standards. When the national reviews and honors came in, we celebrated mom first. It was her work that earned us a place in Bon Appetit’s “Best of the Year” issue and national recognition in Travel and Leisure magazines. We now off...

Caribou Bones (1995) A documentary by Paul Bonesteel “What is true wilderness? I don’t know if I‘ve ever really been there. But I do know that this trip seems to have a gravity all its own. There is something undefinable that has brought us here, to a river, two hundred miles north of the Arctic Circle, where even the definition of wilderness is insignificant.” -Paul Bonesteel, from the film’s narration The story centers on the three Bonesteel’s excursion into the Brooks Range of Alaska, their unexpected separation, and their journey that unfolded through the mountains, tundra and rivers of Alaska's Gates of the Arctic National Park. Caribou Bones is an elaborate "home movie," with Paul utilizing the trip itself and his family's archive of super 8mm footage connect events from the pas...

I lay me down tonight
Searching for words to say
So many doubts that fight me
Calling out Your name
But Lord it's me again
Ready for something new
Please rest upon my heart
Like the morning dew
Holy Spirit rain like Seattle
Overtake my life like a flood
Like California, shake what's not like You
I just want a heart like Yours
Just like a painter has
Some colors and a brush
Upon the canvas soon
A masterpiece becomes
Please take all that I am
And all that I can be
Transform, renew, restore
Create a better me
Holy Spirit rain like Seattle
Overtake my life like a flood
Like California, shake what's not like You
I just want a heart like Yours
Holy Spirit rain like Seattle
Overtake my life like a flood
Like California, shake what's not like You
I just want a heart like Yours
Open up my heart
Fill me with Your love
Every single part
Make me what You're made of
Take me from the start
Hold my hand in Yours
Let the rain pour
Holy Spirit rain like Seattle
Overtake my life like a flood
Like California shake what's not like You
