Here we have my interpretation of the lovely main theme of Final Fantasy VII, debatably the most popular Final Fantasy game of all time.
I decided to stick to its roots and play the Shiro Hamaguchi arranged Piano Collection version!

The game is incredible, and if you like video games you should really play it. But, this is the review for the Piano Collections of Final Fantasy VII, not the actual game.
This CD is simply beautiful! It's amazing, really. The highlights of the album are, in my opinion, "Tifa's Theme", "Final; Fantasy Main Theme", and "Aeris' Theme", which are all incredible. The difficulty of the music is another matter. After listening to this music my father bought the sheet music. The music is march harder to play than it is to listen to, believe me. If you are more into the more classical or soft piano music, I'd recommend one of the earlier Final Fantasy Piano Collections, such as the forth. But for anyone who likes piano music, this album will ignite the passion within your soul.

Cloud Strife is a fictional character and the main protagonist in Square's (now Square Enix's) role-playing game Final Fantasy VII and several of its sequels and spin-offs. His original design was created by Final Fantasy VII character designer Tetsuya Nomura. Cloud's appearance is marked by spikey blonde hair, vivid blue eyes, dark clothing, and his Buster Sword, which previously belonged to his friend Zack Fair. This is just for fun...don't take it too seriously! I suck at playing anything on a classical/acoustic. Here's my fail attempt at the main theme of Final Fantasy VII on classical guitar. There are quite a few bum notes....the action was pretty high.
Sorry for the audio quality! The heater was on in my house and the noise from the vent it what you're hearing in the video.

Final Fantasy
Final Fantasy (ファイナルファンタジー, Fainaru Fantajī) is a science fiction and fantasy media franchise created by Hironobu Sakaguchi, and developed and owned by Square Enix (formerly Square). Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VII (Japanese: ファイナルファンタジーVII, Hepburn: Fainaru Fantajī Sebun) is a role-playing video game developed and published by Square (now Square Enix) for the PlayStation platform. Released in 1997, it is the seventh installment in the Final Fantasy series and the first in the series to use 3D computer graphics, featuring fully rendered characters on pre-rendered backgrounds. It was also the first game in the main series to be released in Europe. The story follows Cloud Strife, a mercenary who joins the eco-terrorist rebel organization AVALANCHE to stop the world-controlling megacorporation Shinra from draining the life of the planet to use as an energy source. Cloud and his allies become involved in a larger world-threatening conflict and face off against Sephiroth, the main antagonist.
Development of Final Fantasy VII began in 1994. It was originally developed for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, but was moved to the Nintendo 64; since the Nintendo 64's cartridges lacked the required storage capacity for substantial prerendered movie footage, Square moved the game to the CD-ROM based PlayStation. It was directed by Yoshinori Kitase, written by Kazushige Nojima and Kitase, and produced by Hironobu Sakaguchi. The music was composed by Final Fantasy veteran Nobuo Uematsu, while the series' long-time character designer, Yoshitaka Amano, was replaced by Tetsuya Nomura.

Main Theme
"Main Theme" is an instrumental track by English progressive rock band Pink Floyd on their third album, More. The track is played at the beginning of the film, when Stefan is waiting for someone to pick him up along a road to Paris.
Structure
The track begins with a panning gong that lasts as a drone sound for the whole piece; at 0:30 the Farfisa organ starts a progression of modal chords, that fades at 1:12 into a drum-bass iterative sequence, similar to, but slower than, the one featured at the opening of "Let There Be More Light". The organ played through a wah-wah pedal (1:20) plays a progression of background notes over the drum-bass line, while the untreated organ plays the main melodic notes (2:10). The slide guitar plays from the middle of the piece onward. The CD writing credit omits Mason.
Cover
The song has been covered in 1977 by French group Rosebud with an electro-funky style. It is available on their Discoballs album among other Pink Floyd covers.

Any huge FFVII fan, this is a must own. The music is incredible and listening to the individual songs I can pick out where they each came from in game play. Aerith's Theme, Great Warrior, and One Winged Angel are favorites on this track that stand out the most for me. Those Chosen By the Planet sends chills down my spine each time. -

Final Fantasy VII Piano Collection - Main Theme
The game is incredible, and if you like video games you should really play it. But, this is the review for the Piano Collections of Final Fantasy VII, not the actual game. This CD is simply beautiful! It's amazing, really. The highlights of the album are, in my opinion, "Tifa's Theme", "Final; Fantasy Main Theme", and "Aeris' Theme", which are all incredible. The difficulty of the music is another matter. After listening to this music my father bought the sheet music. The music is march harder to play than it is to listen to, believe me. If you are more into the more classical or soft piano music, I'd recommend one of the earlier Final Fantasy Piano Collections, such as the forth. But for anyone who likes piano music, this album will ignite the passion within your soul.

This is just for fun...don't take it too seriously! I suck at playing anything on a classical/acoustic. Here's my fail attempt at the main theme of Final Fantasy VII on classical guitar. There are quite a few bum notes....the action was pretty high. Sorry for the audio quality! The heater was on in my house and the noise from the vent it what you're hearing in the video.

Final Fantasy VII Soundtrack - Main Theme
Any huge FFVII fan, this is a must own. The music is incredible and listening to the individual songs I can pick out where they each came from in game play. Aerith's Theme, Great Warrior, and One Winged Angel are favorites on this track that stand out the most for me. Those Chosen By the Planet sends chills down my spine each time.

It's been a while since I uploaded a video game arrangement. So here is my version of the Final Fantasy VII Main Theme. Fun fact: this originally started as 'VERSUS' cover but we decided to do the Final Fantasy Prelude instead (you can check that out in the link below). This cover took much longer that it should have to complete. It's been a while since I uploaded a video game arrangement. So here is my version of the Final Fantasy VII Main Theme. Fun fact: this originally started as 'VERSUS' cover but we decided to do the Final Fantasy Prelude instead (you can check that out in the link below).
This cover took much longer that it should have to complete. I cut out the ending section, so I may come back and remaster this arrangement in the future (Maybe to celebrate the release of the FF VII Remake).

Final Fantasy VII: Complete Soundtrack Remastered
(Time stamps for tracks below) So here's the deal. I was debating if I should even upload this because of a few reasons. 1) All of these tracks are REALLY old, many of them are crappy by today's standards and have been sitting on my computer for years now (I made them in 2007 when I was still learning the ropes). They were made using the cheap way of taking a midi file and re-assigning instrument patches, something I haven't done for years because of how mechanical it sounds and lack of control when mixing. 2) I didn't know if I would go back and re-do these tracks someday but now with the news that FF VII is getting remade (woo hoo!), I know I'm never going to. Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core is a Square-Enix RPG for the PSP. It serves as a prelude to the events in Final Fantasy VII proper, and focuses on an idealistic, noble young swordsman named Zack Fair. He dreams of becoming a SOLDIER 1st Class, but life, it seems, has plans all its own in store for him...
Here's an interesting one. It's the Main Theme of Crisis Core, but as heard on the UMD menu screen. Credit goes to sum16kwt for ripping and uploading this track originally; I just extended it. It's a short yet simple piano piece, all things considered. And yet, it's no less spectacular a rendtion of the Main Theme for it, no sirree-Boco.
Normally, I'd list various stats about AET2k videos and stuff here... but man, I just can't bring myself to do it! Not while I'm thinking about Zack and stuff. I think I'll reserve that for my next batch update, yeah. So I guess all that remains is to get on with the remaining uploads for today, eh? Coming up next: Wild Arms, Final Fantasy, Suikoden, SaGa Frontier, Biohazard/Resident Evil, and Weena Mercatur as the Hopping Woman.

So here's the deal. I was debating if I should even upload this because of a few reasons.
1) All of these tracks are REALLY old, many of them are crappy by today's standards and have been sitting on my computer for years now (I made them in 2007 when I was still learning the ropes). They were made using the cheap way of taking a midi file and re-assigning instrument patches, something I haven't done for years because of how mechanical it sounds and lack of control when mixing.
2) I didn't know if I would go back and re-do these tracks someday but now with the news that FF VII is getting remade (woo hoo!), I know I'm never going to. I don't like working on game remasters unless they are PS1/N64 era or before. Newer games frankly don't need them. Also, I'm finding it increasingly difficult to find the time to make these things nowadays due to work and this would be a ton of tracks to re-do. It would take months.
So... here is the complete FF VII soundtrack remastered to 2007 quality lol. Hopefully someone enjoys it.
P.S. One Winged Angel is just the Advent Children ver. There are so many orchestral versions out there that it wasn't worth my time to remaster that one.

～ This Album ～
This is, the most searched Piano Collections; my 14th video of the project. FFVII is the first game played in the series for many people, including me. Everything of it is nostalgia. Maybe because of this, people can't see something is overrated. Many features about the game, and its music, are out-of-standardly great, I don't doubt on it, but this doesn't mean that its Piano Collections is "the best ever." I've learnt to play nearly the entire album, when I was still stuck in obsessing about this game. Now after I've the idea about the whole series, I found something better.
Most of the arrangements are fine, but some could have an issue of piece selection, some wouldn't expect "Farm Boy," and should be replaced by "Judgement Day," something like this. The biggest flaw of it is the performance. Honda's playing is lyrical, which is great for playing some sweet tunes here, and very secure, but he lacks contrast, continued power, and he ignores many written instructions. Mainly the tempo changes are omitted, this could greatly reduce the drama sense of Hamaguchi's arrangements.
Of course, if you're not critical to bother these problems, these nostalgic melodies should bring memories back to listeners. Truly an enjoyment.

～ About the Project ～
There are many people here who do play the piano. To these people, these piano arrangements then doesn't only worth at listening to, but also reading the score. At least for me, I enjoy reading the score while listening to them very much. I can look at what's exactly going on in the music.
Since there is no one doing the scrolling score presentation of the Final Fantasy Piano Collections / Opera series, I'm taking this project then. One more to go!

～ This Album ～
This is, the most searched Piano Collections; my 14th video of the project. FFVII is the first game played in the series for many people, including me. Everything of it is nostalgia. Maybe because of this, people can't see something is overrated. Many features about the game, and its music, are out-of-standardly great, I don't doubt on it, but this doesn't mean that its Piano Collections is "the best ever." I've learnt to play nearly the entire album, when I was still stuck in obsessing about this game. Now after I've the idea about the whole series, I found something better.
Most of the arrangements are fine, but some could have an issue of piece selection, some wouldn't expect "Farm Boy," and should be replaced by "Judgement Day," something like this. The biggest flaw of it is the performance. Honda's playing is lyrical, which is great for playing some sweet tunes here, and very secure, but he lacks contrast, continued power, and he ignores many written instructions. Mainly the tempo changes are omitted, this could greatly reduce the drama sense of Hamaguchi's arrangements.
Of course, if you're not critical to bother these problems, these nostalgic melodies should bring memories back to listeners. Truly an enjoyment.

～ About the Project ～
There are many people here who do play the piano. To these people, these piano arrangements then doesn't only worth at listening to, but also reading the score. At least for me, I enjoy reading the score while listening to them very much. I can look at what's exactly going on in the music.
Since there is no one doing the scrolling score presentation of the Final Fantasy Piano Collections / Opera series, I'm taking this project then. One more to go!

As the story progresses, Cloud and his allies become involved in a larger world-threatening conflict, facing off against Sephiroth, the game's main antagonist.
Development of Final Fantasy VII began in 1994. The game was originally intended for release on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, but was moved to the Nintendo 64. However, since the Nintendo 64's cartridges lacked the required storage capacity, Square decided to release the game for the CD-ROM based PlayStation instead. Final Fantasy VII was produced by Hironobu Sakaguchi and directed by Yoshinori Kitase. The music was composed by Final Fantasy veteran Nobuo Uematsu, while the series' long-time character designer, Yoshitaka Amano, was replaced by Tetsuya Nomura.
Helped by a large pre-release promotional campaign, Final Fantasy VII became an immediate critical and commercial success. It has continued to sell solidly—10 million copies were sold by May 2010, making it the best-selling title in the series. Final Fantasy VII was praised for its graphics, gameplay, music and story. Criticism primarily pertained to its English localization. It has retrospectively been acknowledged as the game that popularized the Japanese role-playing video game style outside of its home market, and has frequently ranked highly on various top game lists. The popularity of the title led Square Enix to produce a series of prequels and sequels for different platforms under the collective title Compilation of Final Fantasy VII.

To England while the Irish people starved
And then on the middle of all this
They gave us money not to teach our children Irish
And so we lost our history
And this is what I think is still hurting me
See we're like a child that's been battered
Has to drive itself out of it's head because it's fightened
Still feels all the painful feelings
But they lose contact with the memory
And this leads to massive self-destruction
ALCOHOLISM DRUG ADICTION
All desperate attempts at running
And in it's worst form
Becomes actual killing
And if there ever is gonna be healing
There has to be remembering
And then grieving
So that there then can be forgiving
There has to be knowledge and understanding
An American army regulation
Says you mustn't kill more than 10% of a nation
'Cos to do so causes permanent "psychological damage"
It's not permanent but they didn't know that
Anyway during the supposed "famine"
We lost a lot more than 10% of a nation
Through deaths on land or on ships of emigration
But what finally broke us was not starvation
BUT IT'S USE IN THE CONTROLLING OF OUR EDUCATION
School go on about "Black 47"
On and on about "The terrible "famine""
But what they don't say is in truth
There really never was one
So let's take a look shall we
The highest statistics of child abuse in the EEC
And we say we're a Christian country
But we've lost contact with our history
See we used to worship God as a mother
We're sufferin from POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER
Look at all our old men in the pubs
Look at all our young people on drugs
We used to worship God as a mother
Now look at what we're doing to each other
We've even made killers of ourselves
The most child-like trusting people in the Universe
And this is what's wrong with us
Our history books THE PARENT FIGURES lied to us
I see the Irish
As a race like a child
That got itself basned in the face
And if there ever is gonna be healing
There has to be remembering

So that there then can be FORGIVING
