How to get the missing 7Two, Gem, 7Mate and ABC24 channels
Like many Australian reviewers I've been annoyed by 7Two showing no ptogram details, and the lack of the new FTA (Free To Air) channels. The solution is simple. Delete the tvGuilde app from your iPhone or iPad and then relaod it. To reload it, click on the BUY button and enter password as if buying it. At the install point you will get a message advising you already boutgh this app, and it ask if at no cost, you want to install it again. You have to selct your FTA and State channels again but that's easy.
I find this app very useful because it's the easiest way to see at a glance what's on all channels in the current time slots, and it also give more detailed program information than other sources I've come across.
Very good!
App works well. Took me a little while to work out how to change list order of channels; you need to go to edit in portrait mode and then press the 3 horizontal lines next to the channel you want to move...you can then drag and drop to the order you want. Would be nice if you could to this straight from landscape mode.
A more comprehensive help guide would lower users learning curve. 5 stars when you include these in next update :)
Australian buyers - all the channels are there..just remember to tick the "FTA" (Free TV Australia) channels as well as your state ones. Having said that GEM is available for selection/display but does not list any programs. Suspect this is a data feed issue not the app.
Crashing simplicity
Let's get one thing straight. This app is a headache. Not because of the interface, that is brilliant, but because of the crashes. When I scroll down in the TV-listings, it scrolls the list back up for me. When I scroll back in time, it instantly scrolls me back to the current time. Oh, and I have to start it twice if it has been unused for ~4 hours.
But these crashes should get fixed in an update, and when they are, this app is simple and shows you just what you want - shows. But until then, I will be generous and give it 3 stars. However, if these crashes remain after an update, this is not even worth a free download.
