Another fantastic EP on Enormous Deep from swiss based NORA EN PURE who return to their home base and deliver 3 stunning indie dance tracks. We're opening up the EP with the title track COME WITH ME. A classy and touching piano chord construction builds the basic, slowly filtering up and down during the whole arrangement. Some jazzy vocal phrases and adlibs support the melodic parts. LONELINESS takes the more classic indie dance direction, heading on to lift off with a hammering 80s beat pattern, sweeping atmospheres, deep house synth stabs and a funky bass line underneath. This hazy, light dappled nu disco track will become, for sure, a secret night weapon in any whether indie dance but also deep house DJ sets. The last slot on the EP is home to the track called NORMA JEAN. A buttery blend of percussion, Melody and warm chords, creating a relaxed mood to swing your hips. The track extends just close the 6 minute mark, giving you time to get into the mood and lose yourself on the dancefloor, just exactly as you should. iTunes exclusively contains radio edits.

Film festival
A film festival is an organized, extended presentation of films in one or more cinemas or screening venues, usually in a single city or region. Increasingly, film festivals show some films outdoors. Films may be of recent date and, depending upon the festival's focus, can include international and domestic releases. Some festivals focus on a specific film-maker or genre (e.g., film noir) or subject matter (e.g., horror film festivals). A number of film festivals specialise in short films of a defined maximum length. Film festivals are typically annual events. Some film historians do not consider Film Festivals as official releases of film, like Jerry Beck. The best known film festivals are the Venice Film Festival, the Cannes Film Festival, the Toronto Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, and the Berlin International Film Festival, the latter being the largest film festival worldwide, based on attendance. The Venice Film Festival is the oldest major festival. The Melbourne International Film Festival is the largest film festival in the Southern Hemisphere and one of the oldest in the world. A 2013 study found 3,000 active films festivals worldwide—active defined as having held an event in the previous 24 months.

Film
A film, also called a movie, motion picture or photoplay, is a series of still images which, when shown on a screen, creates the illusion of moving images due to the phi phenomenon. Go full screen. It's worth it. 'He Took His Skin Off For Me' is a practical SFX fairytale. No CGI whatsoever. Based on the short story by Maria Hummer it is my grad film from the London Film School. It took myself and producer Fiona Lamptey 2 years, 217 Kickstarter backers and a whole lot of fake blood to pull off. SFX legend Colin Arthur (NeverEnding Story, 2001: A Space Odyssey) helped us achieve the impossible, allowing SFX Supervisor Jen Cardno and her team set a new standard for anatomical practical effects. Actor Sebastian Armesto (Anonymous, Pirates of the Caribbean) spent as long as 8hrs in makeup each day to bring this story to life. Alongside Anna Maguire (Saving Private Ryan, Parade's End) they both give us something wonderful, horrible and completely unique. I don’t want to tell people what the film should be. Even finding a genre to describe it is difficult. I want people to come to this film just like I came to the original story, completely unprepared. If I can leave with one pearl of wisdom, though; if you take off your skin just to be with somebody? Flying has always fascinated me....it's one of the few remaining spaces one can completely detach from day-to-day communication, simply sit back & enjoy some undisturbed time doing whatever pleases.... with a killer view. Whilst cruising at high altitude the light has amazing clarity & is always changing over incredible landscapes, many of which are very isolated, inaccessible and never get photographed. I really don't understand why so many passengers always put their window shutter down to block out light (ok apart from sleeping) and miss such a golden opportunity to experience how truly majestic this world is when viewed from above. 'He Took His Skin Off For Me' is a practical SFX fairytale. No CGI whatsoever. Based on the short story by Maria Hummer it is my grad film from the London Film School. It took myself and producer Fiona Lamptey 2 years, 217 Kickstarter backers and a whole lot of fake blood to pull off. SFX legend Colin Arthur (NeverEnding Story, 2001: A Space Odyssey) helped us achieve the impossible, allowing SFX Supervisor Jen Cardno and her team set a new standard for anatomical practical effects. Actor Sebastian Armesto (Anonymous, Pirates of the Caribbean) spent as long as 8hrs in makeup each day to bring this story to life. Alongside Anna Maguire (Saving Private Ryan, Parade's End) they both give us something wonderful, horrible and completely unique. I don’t want to tell people what the film should be. Even finding a genre to describe it is difficult. I want people to come to this film just like I came to the original story, completely unprepared.
If I can leave with one pearl of wisdom, though; if you take off your skin just to be with somebody? That’s only ever going to end messy…

STORY BEHIND THEY ONLY COME OUT AT NIGHT
Like most New Yorkers, I don't own a car. It's much easier and faster to get around town by taking the subway. After all, you never have to worry about parking a subway train when you reach your destination. It served as my primary means of transportation as I traveled to and from my photography assignments.
When most people (especially tourists) think of the New York City Subway, visions of Times Square, Grand Central or Penn Station will undoubtedly come to mind. These are large, busy hubs filled with thousands of commuters and non-stop activity. Much in the way of how the Empire State Building defines New York City, these stations have become the iconic symbols of the New York Subway. However, they are only a tiny portion of the 468 stations that comprise the entire system. En route to many of my photo shoots, I became quite familiar with the stations in the outer boroughs – the stations that, in my opinion, represent the real New York City Subway. These stations are fairly quiet, dimly lit and sparsely populated... and that's in the middle of the day! I've been in sections of some stations that were so ominously desolate that they've since been permanently sealed and closed off to the public. The sheer creepiness of these environments makes me wonder why Hollywood doesn't regularly use the subway as a set location for horror movies.
The title is derived from a mid-80's disco classic by Peter Brown of the same name. Although hardly the typical inspiration for a horror novel; the song features a saxophone with an unusually haunting quality. I envisioned it as the type of sound one might hear in the distance while walking along deserted city streets late at night.
Between the song and my observations in the subway, "They Only Come Out at Night," is the product of my overactive (some might say "warped") imagination.

Flying has always fascinated me....it's one of the few remaining spaces one can completely detach from day-to-day communication, simply sit back & enjoy some undisturbed time doing whatever pleases.... with a killer view.
Whilst cruising at high altitude the light has amazing clarity & is always changing over incredible landscapes, many of which are very isolated, inaccessible and never get photographed. I really don't understand why so many passengers always put their window shutter down to block out light (ok apart from sleeping) and miss such a golden opportunity to experience how truly majestic this world is when viewed from above.
On a recent trip from Sydney to Toronto via Hong Kong I embarked on a journey to capture as much of this shifting light + landscape as possible. Sydney to Hong Kong was a 9 hour leg, Hong Kong to Toronto 14 hours. No sleep just shoot as much as possible and hope my plan of booking seats on particular sides of each leg would pay off.
Getting the gear on-board didn't prove to be as much of a challenge as first thought. You don't need much to get the camera into the right place and keep it steady.
Footnote: gaffe tape is classed as a restraint and is not allowed on planes......well rolls of it anyway.

Flying has always fascinated me....it's one of the few remaining spaces one can completely detach from day-to-day communication, simply sit back & enjoy some undisturbed time doing whatever pleases.... with a killer view. Whilst cruising at high altitude the light has amazing clarity & is always changing over incredible landscapes, many of which are very isolated, inaccessible and never get photographed. I really don't understand why so many passengers always put their window shutter down to block out light (ok apart from sleeping) and miss such a golden opportunity to experience how truly majestic this world is when viewed from above. Another fantastic EP on Enormous Deep from swiss based NORA EN PURE who return to their home base and deliver 3 stunning indie dance tracks. We're opening up the EP with the title track COME WITH ME. A classy and touching piano chord construction builds the basic, slowly filtering up and down during the whole arrangement. Some jazzy vocal phrases and adlibs support the melodic parts. LONELINESS takes the more classic indie dance direction, heading on to lift off with a hammering 80s beat pattern, sweeping atmospheres, deep house synth stabs and a funky bass line underneath. This hazy, light dappled nu disco track will become, for sure, a secret night weapon in any whether indie dance but also deep house DJ sets. The last slot on the EP is home to the track called NORMA JEAN. A buttery blend of percussion, Melody and warm chords, creating a relaxed mood to swing your hips. The track extends just close the 6 minute mark, giving you time to get into the mood and lose yourself on the dancefloor, just exactly as you should. iTunes exclusively contains radio edits.

'He Took His Skin Off For Me' is a practical SFX fairytale. No CGI whatsoever. Based on the short story by Maria Hummer it is my grad film from the London Film School. It took myself and producer Fiona Lamptey 2 years, 217 Kickstarter backers and a whole lot of fake blood to pull off. SFX legend Colin Arthur (NeverEnding Story, 2001: A Space Odyssey) helped us achieve the impossible, allowing SFX Supervisor Jen Cardno and her team set a new standard for anatomical practical effects. Actor Sebastian Armesto (Anonymous, Pirates of the Caribbean) spent as long as 8hrs in makeup each day to bring this story to life. Alongside Anna Maguire (Saving Private Ryan, Parade's End) they both give us something wonderful, horrible and completely unique. I don’t want to tell people what the film should be. Even finding a genre to describe it is difficult. I want people to come to this film just like I came to the original story, completely unprepared.
If I can leave with one pearl of wisdom, though; if you take off your skin just to be with somebody? That’s only ever going to end messy…

STORY BEHIND THEY ONLY COME OUT AT NIGHT
Like most New Yorkers, I don't own a car. It's much easier and faster to get around town by taking the subway. After all, you never have to worry about parking a subway train when you reach your destination. It served as my primary means of transportation as I traveled to and from my photography assignments.
When most people (especially tourists) think of the New York City Subway, visions of Times Square, Grand Central or Penn Station will undoubtedly come to mind. These are large, busy hubs filled with thousands of commuters and non-stop activity. Much in the way of how the Empire State Building defines New York City, these stations have become the iconic symbols of the New York Subway. However, they are only a tiny portion of the 468 stations that comprise the entire system. En route to many of my photo shoots, I became quite familiar with the stations in the outer boroughs – the stations that, in my opinion, represent the real New York City Subway. These stations are fairly quiet, dimly lit and sparsely populated... and that's in the middle of the day! I've been in sections of some stations that were so ominously desolate that they've since been permanently sealed and closed off to the public. The sheer creepiness of these environments makes me wonder why Hollywood doesn't regularly use the subway as a set location for horror movies.
The title is derived from a mid-80's disco classic by Peter Brown of the same name. Although hardly the typical inspiration for a horror novel; the song features a saxophone with an unusually haunting quality. I envisioned it as the type of sound one might hear in the distance while walking along deserted city streets late at night.
Between the song and my observations in the subway, "They Only Come Out at Night," is the product of my overactive (some might say "warped") imagination.

Flying has always fascinated me....it's one of the few remaining spaces one can completely detach from day-to-day communication, simply sit back & enjoy some undisturbed time doing whatever pleases.... with a killer view.
Whilst cruising at high altitude the light has amazing clarity & is always changing over incredible landscapes, many of which are very isolated, inaccessible and never get photographed. I really don't understand why so many passengers always put their window shutter down to block out light (ok apart from sleeping) and miss such a golden opportunity to experience how truly majestic this world is when viewed from above.
On a recent trip from Sydney to Toronto via Hong Kong I embarked on a journey to capture as much of this shifting light + landscape as possible. Sydney to Hong Kong was a 9 hour leg, Hong Kong to Toronto 14 hours. No sleep just shoot as much as possible and hope my plan of booking seats on particular sides of each leg would pay off.
Getting the gear on-board didn't prove to be as much of a challenge as first thought. You don't need much to get the camera into the right place and keep it steady.
Footnote: gaffe tape is classed as a restraint and is not allowed on planes......well rolls of it anyway.
