This recording spotlights the work of six French-speaking black and African poets: Léopold Sédar Senghor, David Diop, Guy Tirolien, Bouna Boukary Diouara, Jean-Françoise Brierre, and Aimé Césaire. Topics of these poems include nature, admiration of the beauty of black women, and the growing popularity of Negritude and black pride in literature.
