Man in hospital after Raffles Hotel dance floor brawl

A 21-year-old man is in hospital after a fight broke out at the Raffles Hotel in Applecross on Wednesday evening. 

WA Police said the brawl began on the dance floor at the popular nightspot occurred around 10.30pm.

Punch-up on the Raffles dance floor

A 21-year-old man is in hospital after a fight broke out at the Raffles Hotel in Applecross on Wednesday evening.

The man was knocked unconscious during the fight, and suffered serious head injuries.

It is understood paramedics were called, and he was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital on priority. 

9 News Perth reporter Nathan Brooks said the men were not known to each other, and a man was arrested at the scene in connection with the fight.

"He was questioned by officers for some time before being released," he said.

"Police have reviewed CCTV footage and have spoken with a number of witnesses who were here at the bar at the time. So far no charges have been laid."

The 21-year-old man remains in hospital, and police said he was now in a stable condition.
