Tokyo (東京, Tōkyō, "Eastern Capital") (Japanese: [toːkjoː], English /ˈtoʊki.oʊ/), officially Tokyo Metropolis (東京都, Tōkyō-to), is one of the 47 prefectures of Japan, and is both the capital and largest city of Japan. The Greater Tokyo Area is the most populous metropolitan area in the world. It is the seat of the Emperor of Japan and the Japanese government. Tokyo is in the Kantō region on the southeastern side of the main island Honshu and includes the Izu Islands and Ogasawara Islands. Formerly known as Edo, it has been the de facto seat of government since 1603 when Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu made the city his headquarters. It officially became the capital after Emperor Meiji moved his seat to the city from the old capital of Kyoto in 1868; at that time Edo was renamed Tokyo. Tokyo Metropolis was formed in 1943 from the merger of the former Tokyo Prefecture (東京府, Tōkyō-fu) and the city of Tokyo (東京市, Tōkyō-shi).
Mixmaster Morris (born Morris Gould, 30 December 1965) is an English ambient DJ and underground musician. Relating specifically to ambient music, Morris stated "It's exactly what you need if you have a busy and stressful life".
Morris Gould was born in Brighton, Sussex, England, but grew up in Lincolnshire and was educated at Millfield in Somerset, and King's College London. At 15 he founded a punk rock band, The Ripchords, whose sole release, an eponymous EP with four tracks, was championed by the BBC Radio One DJ John Peel. After leaving university, he began working as a DJ in 1985 with his "Mongolian Hip Hop Show" on pirate radio station Network 21 in London – the handle Mixmaster Morris was suggested by the station director. After a year of managing a club called "The Gift" in New Cross, Morris began releasing material as Irresistible Force in 1987, initially in collaboration with singer-songwriter Des de Moor. He became involved with the emerging UK acid house scene, after organising Madhouse at The Fridge, Brixton in 1988 – which was the subject of a piece by Peel in The Observer.

The question arose a month or two back... How might once portray convoluted ideals, in a musical beat? How might one be able to interpret beats, if they're convoluted, dirty, confusing? IS there a way to find a perfect line between the understandable and the irreversibly convoluted? And so the project started. It's an experiment, really. I'm trying to figure out how the mind works, and how we interpret the sounds we hear. SONG: Convolutions ARTIST: Me (HYPER SAMUS) DOWNLOAD: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/457408

Nikko is a small city in Japan’s Tochigi Prefecture, in the mountains north of Tokyo. It’s the site of Toshogu, the famed Shinto shrine established in 1617 as a lavish memorial for Tokugawa Ieyasu, founding ruler of the Tokugawa shogunate, or Edo Period. The shrine comprises the gilded Yomeimon Gate, the main sanctuary set in a cedar grove and the tomb itself. Japan is a lovely country to be visited and we loved to go there again someday. In the Arabian Peninsula, public spaces are often most used after darkness falls, and the temperature along with it. This symposium explores typologies of nocturnal landscapes common in the Arabian Peninsula and in locales with similar hot climates. During this interdisciplinary event, we will ask who uses night-time landscapes and public spaces, what activities are peculiar to the night, and, ultimately, how to design for life after dark. Organized by Gareth Doherty, assistant professor of landscape architecture, and William Granara, director, Harvard University Center for Middle Eastern Studies. Supported by the Aga Khan Program in Islamic Architecture.
David Letterman has been involved in the entertainment industry for over forty years and tends to be a very divisive figure. Some people loved the affable everyman who caustically poked holes in the facade of celebrity, while others found Letterman to be mean-spirited and aggressive. What isn’t up for debate is the sizable role he’s played within American culture over the course of multiple decades. Whether you’re a fan or not, everybody knows the name David Letterman and his sarcastic wit has left an imprint on generations of observers. A deeply private man, Letterman’s relationship with his own celebrity and success is as complicated as it is fascinating. At many points in his career it seemed the only thing Letterman feared more than outright failure were the consequences and pressure...

London is the capital city of England and the United Kingdom, the largest city, urban zone and metropolitan area in the United Kingdom, and the European Union by most measures.[note 1] Located on the River Thames, London has been a major settlement for two millennia, its history going back to its founding by the Romans, who named it Londinium.[3] London's ancient core, the City of London, largely retains its square-mile mediaeval boundaries. Since at least the 19th century, the name London has also referred to the metropolis developed around this core.[4] The bulk of this conurbation forms the London region[5] and the Greater London administrative area,[6][note 2] governed by the elected Mayor of London and the London Assembly.[7] London is a leading global city, with strengths in the art...
