Understanding (also called intellection) is a psychological process related to an abstract or physical object, such as a person, situation, or message whereby one is able to think about it and use concepts to deal adequately with that object. Understanding is a relation between the knower and an object of understanding. Understanding implies abilities and dispositions with respect to an object of knowledge sufficient to support intelligent behavior.
An understanding is the limit of a conceptualization. To understand something is to have conceptualized it to a given measure.
Robert Clark "Bob" Seger (born May 6, 1945) is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist and pianist. As a locally successful Detroit-area artist, he performed and recorded as Bob Seger and the Last Heard and Bob Seger System throughout the 1960s. By the early 1970s, he had dropped the "System" from his recordings and continued to strive for broader success with various other bands. In 1973, he put together the Silver Bullet Band, a group of Detroit-area musicians, with whom he became most successful on the national level with the album Live Bullet, recorded live with the Silver Bullet Band in 1975 at Cobo Hall in Detroit, Michigan. In 1976, he achieved a national breakout with the studio album Night Moves. On his studio albums, he also worked extensively with the Alabama-based Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section, which appeared on several of Seger's best-selling singles and albums.
A roots rocker with a classic raspy, shouting voice, Seger wrote and recorded songs that dealt with love, women and blue-collar themes and was an exemplar of heartland rock. Seger has recorded many hits, including "Night Moves", "Turn the Page", "Still the Same", "We've Got Tonight", "Against the Wind", "You'll Accomp'ny Me", "Shame on the Moon", "Like a Rock", and "Shakedown", which was written for Beverly Hills Cop II. Seger also co-wrote the Eagles' number-one hit "Heartache Tonight", and his iconic recording of "Old Time Rock and Roll" was named one of the Songs of the Century in 2001.
Creative Commons (CC) is a non-profit organization devoted to expanding the range of creative works available for others to build upon legally and to share. The organization has released several copyright-licenses known as Creative Commons licenses free of charge to the public. These licenses allow creators to communicate which rights they reserve, and which rights they waive for the benefit of recipients or other creators. An easy-to-understand one-page explanation of rights, with associated visual symbols, explains the specifics of each Creative Commons license. Creative Commons licenses do not replace copyright, but are based upon it. They replace individual negotiations for specific rights between copyright owner (licensor) and licensee, which are necessary under an "all rights reserved" copyright management, with a "some rights reserved" management employing standardized licenses for re-use cases where no commercial compensation is sought by the copyright owner. The result is an agile, low-overhead and low-cost copyright-management regime, profiting both copyright owners and licensees. Wikipedia uses one of these licenses.

Their many responsibilities include the hiring, scheduling, and management of crew; the renting, ordering, inventory, and returning of equipment; workplace safety and maintaining discipline within their department; completing timecards and other paperwork; stocking of expendables; loading and unloading production trucks; planning and implementing the lighting or rigging of locations and/or sound stages; coordinating with rigging crews and additional photography units (if applicable); handling relations with the other production departments; overseeing the application of union rules (where relevant); and serving as the day-to-day representative of the department with the unit production manager and coordinator of their department.

Evanescence Understanding with lyrics. Written by: A. Lee and B. Moody The first song ever written by Ben Moody and credited as the second song ever written by Evanescence. The audio clips in the song come from the movies My World Dies Screaming, also known as "Terror in the Haunted House" (1958), except the line "We're supposed to try... that is real" and "God, just don't hate me.. because I'll die if you do" which are from When a Man Loves A Woman (1994). Ben Moody has referred to the song as a "Cheesy 7-minute Goth anthem". The band began to play this song live again in October of 2007.

This statement is false. Think about it, and it makes your head hurt. If it’s true, it’s false. If it’s false, it’s true. In 1931, Austrian logician Kurt Godel shocked the worlds of mathematics and philosophy by establishing that such statements are far more than a quirky turn of language: he showed that there are mathematical truths which simply can't be proven. In the decades since, thinkers have taken the brilliant Godel's result in a variety of directions—linking it to limits of human comprehension and the quest to recreate human thinking on a computer. In this full program from the 2010 Festival, leading thinkers untangle Godel's discovery and examine the wider implications of his revolutionary finding. there is so much you can say with each image but how do you make the most out of it? we often talk about layers in a film and color is a powerful storytelling tool that can completely change the look and feel of a piece. in this tutorial we look at color in camera as we go through white balance, white shift, picture styles along with some tips and tricks on how to use them to say something with your image straight out of the camera. there is so much to say about color so we decided to split it up into two tutorials, in camera and in post. all footage shown in this tutorial is straight out of the camera with no post color work. check back soon for part two of the color tutorial, color in post, later this month. brought to you by the Canon digital learning center. check out more tutorials ...
2015 Future of StoryTelling Summit Speaker: Beau Lotto Neuroscientist & Founder, Lottolab Apply to attend: www.fost.org Beau Lotto’s research into perception has shown that we don’t see the real world—just our version of it. It’s a version we’ve evolved to perceive, where shadows, shapes, and even how we understand time are meanings we ascribe to what we’re seeing. Our senses are telling us stories about the world—and we can control those stories to change our perceptions and ourselves. Digital technology that’s purely virtual can’t totally engage with our perceptions, but when it augments the physical reality we evolved in, that’s when we can truly occupy the space between the real world and what we want it to be.

The Soilconsweb is a project, developed by a group of specialists from the University in Naples (Italy). It aims to create a tool that helps different stakeholders of land, making better, more sustainable decisions on their most important resource - the soil. We were asked by the leader of the project - Prof. Fabio Terribile - to create an explainer, that shows why it is so important, yet so difficult to develop such a specific tool. Our main sources of inspiration were layers of soil profiles, found in the University's inventory, as well as quaint aerial photography of fields and land. To make the dynamic complexities of presented topic more tangible, we went for a reduced visual approach, that gives a piece straightforward information. _ Direction: Uli Henrik Streckenbach Art Direction,...

Understanding all the reasons that you have
For keeping just a step away
You'd better start believing that deceit
It's never gonna pay
Understanding that the light of everyday
Hold a different feeling
You'd better start believing
That there'll be no more grieving about it next time
round
This time, you seem so sure
You're talking like I've never heard before
This time
I want to believe in what you say
This time
I want you to know that if I stay
I'm understanding all the reasons that you have
For keeping just a step away
But believe me when I tell you that from now
There has to be another way
Understanding that the light of everyday
Hold a different feeling
You'd better start believing that there'll be no
More grieving about it next time round
This time, so sure
You're talking like you never did before
This time
I want to believe in what you say
This time
I want you to know that if I stay
Do you listen when I tell you that I'm tired
Of keeping one more step away
Now the game that we've been playing has
Been changed and it's by my rules that we play
Not the child that followed blindly in the dark
Watching and believing
I'm much stronger now and I won't be torn apart
Or fooled by shallow pleading
This time
You might say that we all need secrets
But I say that you're running away
You could say that I won't wait forever
But I'm giving you one more day
This Time
Talking like you ever did before
This time
I want to believe in what you say
This time
I want you to know that if I stay
